Extremely bad customer service

I have telephoned and emailed this company on a number of occasions, since 26.08.25, to enquire about a part listed on their website. I only managed to get a telephone answer from a person once in all this time. I was promised that the information would be sent to me by email; this did not happen. I emailed again on 04.09.25, no response. I telephoned their land line number several times, always with no answer. Oddly, their landline number is listed on my telephone as a 'Transport Company', with no reference at all to a Motorcycle Parts Shop!
I emailed again, this time, through their website, on 08.09.25, and on 09.09.25 I actually received an email from them which did not answer my questions - at all.
It was obvious from their reply that my last email had not been read properly; there was no reference to the points I had raised.
On 15.09.25 I emailed again via their website, asking them to clarify prices, how to proceed with an order, when was the best time to telephone them, or would they telephone me back. Nil response. Telephoning them on landline, or on a mobile number I found on their one and only email response, you guessed it, no answer.
This is my first (and last!) experience of Shropshire Classic Motorcycles.I have never dealt with them prior to this. I cannot understand why their business is being run so shockingly badly. Is it ineptitude? Arrogance? Or simply sheer contempt for their customers or potential customers? It makes me shudder to think about, if I had bought from them - would I actually receive my goods? Would they help in the case of a problem?
Over the years (I'm 74!) I've learned to trust my gut feeling about people, and on this experience my gut is telling me - this is a dodgy untrustworthy outfit, stay away!!!
In conclusion (sorry for the long rant!) - could this company be in financial trouble? If so, why are they offering goods for sale, and, presumably, taking money from people? If there is some other problem with this company, for example - a bereavement, absence for holidays, or staff shortages - to name a few scenarios - why don't they put a prominent warning message on their website announcing that they will not be fulfilling orders, etc, such as is done regularly by sellers on Ebay!
This is the worst customer experience I have ever had, and I would never use this company or recommend it.

Ken has requested that we break down an exhaust kit into constituent parts and come up with a price .
At present we are in the process of manufacturing another set of the popular kits for the Triumph.
The machinery used is cutting edge machine tooling and machine time is at a premium.
Nevertheless to show goodwill at this extremely busy time we managed to slot in and turn out a batch of roses specifically for Mr Weeks.
Ken then requested other parts pertaining to the kit ;stainless fasteners.
I responded with thread dimensions and suggested that stainles was not recommended in this particular case with a fine thread and an aluminium medium.
As we were supplying parts in isolation from the web shop a reduced price was quoted.
Ken then responded with a query about the parts involved.
To be fair due to annual shut down a response was not tabled.
Subsequently I have attempted to contact Ken several times today with no response.
Shropshire Classics is a small English business with all the overheads involved and we do not have the resources to pursue enquiries such as this which can go on for weeks with no outcome.Nevertheless we did attempt to come up with a bespoke solution for this particular customer.
That this was not acceptable is a result noted as we go forward.
Yours Sincerely Shropshire Classics
