Our service team is wonderful
Our service team is wonderful! Both are very responsive and make getting things done easy. Our HR person gives good advice and points out risks. Getting information from Worksite Analytics is challenging. To edit a report requires too much filtering. There is too much data on a report and the filtering process take too long and is cumbersome.
The Help Center chat box that appears on the right side covers us important thing such as the scroll bar. It would be better if it was moved to a place where it doesn't sit on top of important information or navigational tools.

TriNet is the best!
I've used other PEOs and TriNet is by far the best one I've used. I find the system fairly easy to use and it's not as bulky or slow as others. However, the real differentiating factor is the level of customer service they provide. I know I can trust the answers that come from my service rep and compliance partner. They are also speedy and their work has been impeccable. Truly some of the best HR people I have worked with.

Cost Efficient HR Service Provider
We have worked with TriNet for about 8+ years. They represent a cost-effective solution for us. They have been consistent and helpful as issues arose. The benefit program allows us, as a small company, to be competitive in attracting and retaining employees from large firms and to do so in a manner that is more cost-efficient than we alone could command.
TriNet representatives are always responsive in addressing our questions in a timely manner. If our key contact does not know the answer, he/she will seek input from a specialist within TriNet and get us an informed answer. TriNet system processing and reporting functions have been enhanced over the years and this has been helpful to the system administrators.
An area for improvement involves TriNet acting in the best interest of the employees in dealing with 3rd party vendors (particularly health insurance and drug benefit providers). This is a key area of frustration to our employees and TriNet does not seem to have an effective process for intervening on behalf of the employees who often get a run around from the insurance providers.

I would give TriNet a 3.5 overall rating.
On the day-to-day, routine activities, TriNet does a very good job. On the more irregular matters, it's a painful process to make progress. Two examples of this scenario are: 1) integrating an acquired 401(k) into the TriNet/Transamerica plan, and 2) obtaining a complete explanation of the requirements and steps necessary to insure a Board member. Both of these situations, particularly the 401(k), have been frustrating and have, unfortunately, down-graded my overall view of TriNet as a service provider.

Merica is a blessing to work with on a daily basis. As for the leave plan team, it takes weeks to incorporate a new leave plan. Maybe there is a lot more behind the scenes to do on the TriNet end that I am not aware of. Thank you!

PTO system errors
PTO system errors. Submit a PTO request. When you look at your PTO requests, none are listed, no problem maybe it did not go through, just process another request. They let you take 16hrs of PTO for one day, probably would allow you to take 80 hours for one day.
One report shows you have taken 0 hours of PTO, if you look at your estimated PTO, it shows PTO use.
I alerted them to the errors, THEY DO NOT CARE.

UPDATE: I am happy to say that TriNet did reach out to try and resolve my prior issue, the problem is that they told me the problem was my fault even though they had screenshots showing the TriNet system errors.
Add to this, when I use the TriNet website to look at my projected PTO balance next month, the TriNet system shows that I will earn a whopping 1.54 hours during the next month when I actually will earn 10hrs. If accuracy in benefits accounting is important, you have better options.

Consistently difficult
We have been a customer of TriNet for 3 years and rarely need help, but every time we need it the staff at TriNet is clumsy and it frequently goes wrong. A recent termination went awry and costs us over $5k, a recent bonus payment was mishandled and everyone at the company had their paycheck delayed. Open benefits selection is a disaster -- just poorly designed and unhelpful. We are actively looking for a different provider....

Horrible experience. They are a horrible company and have awful customer service. They are extremely unethical. Go elsewhere!
Very, very bad
Their website won't let you recent password effectively. It says wrong number even though it is clearly the right number. They are incredibly hard to get in contact with and function SUPER slow.
TriNet must still live in the 1970s
It you want to annoy your employees, use TriNet services.
They must still live in the 1970s. Everything is still conducted by snail mail. Their website has very limited functions. When I called them, they ask me to send paper forms, and scanned copy is not accepted. DocuSign? Forget about it. All payments to them can only be paper checks. Pay over the phone? Online payment? They don't even have a clue. TriNet is a dinosaur in service business.

We can not get customer service from this company. We are a small company < 20 employees, and I just don't think they care.
Trinet messed up everyones paycheck - double deductions. No notice no warning no nothing - submitted a support ticket - and then waiting waiting waiting waiting - called the next day on hold forever.
This is our typical experience with customer service at Trinet - and they charge almost double what other PEOs charge. Can't wait until we are done with this company.
