⭐️ My Honest Review of TravelJoy ⭐️

I wanted to share my personal experience with TravelJoy because transparency matters when choosing business tools for your travel business.

At first, the platform seemed promising and professional. It’s marketed as a tool to help travel advisors stay organized, manage clients, and simplify workflows. However, my experience after subscribing left me very disappointed.

One of the biggest frustrations was the lack of honesty and flexibility regarding their subscription/refund policies. After canceling my membership, I was informed that refunds are ONLY available within the first 30 days of starting a paid membership — regardless of circumstances or actual usage.

This was the response I received:

“Since your membership started on January 27, 2026, you fall outside of that window, so a refund isn’t available at this time.”

While technically that may be their policy, I personally feel companies should work harder to support small business owners and provide better customer care instead of hiding behind strict subscription terms.

Unfortunately:
❌ No refund flexibility
❌ No partial credit offered
❌ No real attempt to make things right
❌ Felt very one-sided toward the company

For a platform that promotes professionalism and helping travel advisors grow, I expected much better customer service and understanding.

If you’re considering signing up:
⚠️ Read every detail of the subscription and cancellation policy carefully before committing.
⚠️ Be aware they may continue to hold firm on charges once outside their exact refund window.

Just sharing my honest experience so other travel advisors can make an informed decision before subscribing.

Traveljoy is my right hand man in this travel industry. The training and support that is provided is remarkable. The system is very user friendly. For both group and individual trips — payment plans, invoices, itineraries, client management… pretty much everything I need in one place!

Traveljoy is a True CRM + Copilot is AMAZING

TravelJoy has completely transformed the way I run my travel business. The platform is intuitive, polished, and thoughtfully built for modern travel advisors who want to create a seamless client experience while also operating efficiently behind the scenes.

One of the biggest game changers for me has been Copilot for itinerary building. It dramatically cuts down the time it takes to create beautiful, client-facing itineraries while still allowing for customization and personalization. What used to take hours can now be built in a fraction of the time without sacrificing quality or professionalism.

I also love how easy TravelJoy makes it to create and manage workflows. The email templates, automations, and task lists help keep every trip organized and ensure no detail slips through the cracks. From inquiry to departure, everything feels streamlined and centralized.

Another standout feature is the ability to upload forms and documents and have TravelJoy instantly turn them into polished workflows and client-facing forms within seconds. It saves an enormous amount of administrative time and creates a much smoother onboarding process for clients. The built-in file storage is another huge plus — having contracts, passports, confirmations, and trip documents all stored in one place makes managing multiple itineraries far easier.

Overall, TravelJoy has become an essential part of my business. It allows me to work more efficiently, elevate the client experience, and spend more time focusing on relationship-building and trip design instead of administrative tasks

This has been one of the most disappointing and unprofessional business experiences I have ever encountered.

I have been a travel advisor for over 3 years, and for the past 1.5 years I have used TravelJoy as my CRM and merchant platform. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing and unprofessional business experiences I have ever encountered.

As the owner of two businesses, communication and professionalism are extremely important to me. One major red flag with this company is the lack of direct customer support. If there is an issue involving your money or account, you cannot simply pick up the phone and speak with someone. You are forced to submit tickets or schedule calls, which often leads to delays, confusion, and unresolved concerns.

Recently, I organized an exciting group trip to Bali. Due to the conflict involving Iran, I experienced two client cancellations. The clients filed disputes through TravelJoy’s merchant system. Although I provided all supporting documentation, including signed contracts clearly stating the payments were non-refundable, TravelJoy did not properly support or advocate for me during the dispute process.

To make matters worse, TravelJoy requested a debit transaction from my bank account without my authorization and charged me an additional $300. I repeatedly requested to speak with someone directly because I still had unanswered questions regarding the fees and charges being applied to my account. Despite my efforts, they continued responding only through email and refused to properly discuss the matter over the phone.

I was also threatened with being locked out of my account, while at the same time being owed approximately $300 from a client admin fee that has still not been returned to me.

This entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Even my own clients were shocked by how the situation was handled and encouraged me to find another platform.

At this point, I will no longer be doing business with TravelJoy. I strongly encourage other travel advisors to carefully research and consider all options before choosing this company as their platform.

We're sorry for the frustration here Bridget, especially during what was already a difficult situation with your Bali group.

Ultimately, TravelJoy has no ability to intervene in a credit card dispute. Across all industries, credit card disputes are decided entirely by the cardholder's bank, which determines whether the dispute is won or lost. We provide support and documentation to help advisors make their case against the dispute, but we have no role in the decision.

We hear you that this process could be made clearer, and we're reviewing how we can communicate it better so advisors know what to expect before a dispute is filed.

While the holding of disputed funds is especially frustrating, this is a standard part of how payment processors handle disputes, not something specific to TravelJoy. The funds are held by the bank and returned if the dispute is resolved in your favor. In cases where those funds are not available in your TravelJoy account for the bank to hold, account access may be temporarily limited until the matter is resolved. This is done to protect our overall payment processing system against potential bad actors. However, we recognize we could do a better job explaining this upfront as well.

While our team did connect with you by phone once to help address your concerns, we do believe dispute issues are best handled through written communication so there's a clear written record for everyone involved.

We know this situation was stressful, and we take it seriously that you felt unsupported during this process.

Make your life easier and regain some work life balance.

I’ve been using Travel Joy, and I’m genuinely impressed. The CRM is incredibly intuitive and easy to use, and I love that the platform keeps evolving in ways that actually support how advisors work. The addition of Co‑Pilot AI was a complete game-changer — it’s streamlined my workflow and elevated my client communication in such a meaningful way. I’m truly excited to be working with a company that continues to improve my work–life balance every single day.

Travel Joy has given me more time!

Travel Joy has made my life as an agency owner and also someone who sells allot of travel, allot easier where I have gained valuable time to focus on marketing.

The team at Travel Joy are always very open to feedback. I will also take credit that they made some changes resulting of my feedback. Because, no one else would ever submit the same idea either before or after I did too ;-)

TravelJoy has been a godsend for my business! Once you enter the initial information, then TravelJoy uses that information to create whatever you need; forms, invoices, proposals, etc. If you're not using TravelJoy, then your business is missing out.

DO NOT BOOK WITH TRAVEL JOY OR CAPRICE…

DO NOT BOOK WITH TRAVEL JOY OR CAPRICE TAYLOR AND DO NOT GET TRAVEL INSURANCE WITH FAYE TRAVEL.

If I could rate a -10 I would. Our trip was booked as a group. Despite asking numerous times, she didn't provide details of where we were staying. I was consistently told that once she has all the deposits in the information would be provided. This never happened. My dad passed away like 10 days before the trip. I contacted Caprice and placed a claim with Faye Travel insurance all before the trip was to take place. There was also a hurricane that wiped out most of the roads and most of the island was without power, so the trip would not be able to happen anyway. Despite all this and my purchasing the additional "cancel for any reason" insurance, my claim still has not been paid. They continuously delayed claiming I need a cancellation invoice from the Caprice who hasn't responded to me or them in months. The emails and text messages I forwarded were not sufficient. They also reached out Caprice and hasn't responded to them either. It's been 5 months. After calling them out for the SCAM ARTISTS they are, they sent me a "claim summary" that highlighted it "DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A GUARANTEE OF PAYMENT". The summary indicates a 75% reimbursement, which according to their policy, only applies for cancellations other than those otherwise covered. The death of an immediate family member is a covered reason, so I should be entitled to 100% reimbursement. That was 3 weeks ago, they have gone silent yet again. DO NOT PURCHASE WITH FAYE TRAVEL INSURANCE, BOOK TRIPS WITH CAPRICE TAYLOR AND DO NOT BOOK WITH TRAVELJOY INSURANCE.

They listen to agents!

They listen to agents when we request new features or changes. As a Canadian agent, I have made a couple of simple requests, and they have adjusted their system to accommodate. I am looking forward to seeing what other improvements they make. Overall, TravelJoy has been great as a CRM for our new agency. It's an excellent all-in-one tool.

Robust but easy to use

I love using TravelJoy! I couldn't run my business without it. While being extremely robust with its features, it's also very user-friendly, with everything from invoicing to collecting payments to building itineraries. Travel Joy is a great platform that is easy to learn and use

Travel Joy is a great platform that is easy to use. It makes my life simpler because I can capture leads and everything related to the guests trip is in the one place on the Travel Joy platform.
I love that when there are new features added, we get training videos to help us understand the changes.
The Travel Joy team are always there for support if I have a question or issue. I'm so glad I chose Travel Joy as my Travel Agency CRM.
