Great Resource. I came through martial arts towards the CLA approach and as a full time Coach i thought "there must be someone who explored it" Alex sure did and his book and course really elevates the coaching experience. More fun for the kids and less mindless.

Using the Transforming Basketball app has been a surprisingly positive experience for me. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, which made it simple to track my progress and training goals. I especially enjoyed the personalized workout plans—they felt tailored to my skill level and really helped me improve specific areas like shooting accuracy and footwork. It’s become a part of my regular training routine and genuinely made basketball more fun and structured for me.

Small Sided Games was a great resource for our team this spring. We learned a lot about the concepts and understanding play through constraints!

Great resource for keeping my u11 girls engaged in all the training session. The variety in the practice plans keeps everything fresh. Kids having fun, competing and improving. Well worth the investment.
Implementing the conceptual offense is true basketball. It puts the players in position to make decisions. Sometimes they make great decisions and other times they don't, but that is what learning looks like. This is the way basketball coaching needs to move.
The small side game pdf is a welcome addition to any coaching library. It diagrams wide variety of activities that a coach can pick and choose when planning a practice. The organisation of the manual is excellent since it groups the games in various categories of the conceptual offence. This will make planning so much easier!
Alex and his team have done an incredible job creating a community of coaches who are looking to grow and get better. I purchased the SSG game book & became a member. Great resource with a ton of value & constraints to add on each platform SSG.
Transforming Basketball has totally transformed the way I coach basketball. Beyond the concepts the Alex and co have established a set of resources that are informative and directly applicable.
I've been coaching basketball for over 10 years at the junior level and have gone through the experience of using traditional drills, then small sided games. I was still struggling to find the secret sauce for how to enable effective transfer of skills and decision making into games. Transforming basketball has provided for me and my teams the secret sauce that has made training not only more fun, but more effective.

The SSGs book marks the 6th product I've purchased so far (more to follow!) from Transforming Basketball.
When you get to the end of the first page of the PDF, the games/possibilities keep coming and coming, for a total of 82 (82!) SSGs, for every possibility. The breadth of games is staggering.
I highly recommend that you add this to your library

I've always asked as a new coach why are coaches still using the same practice methods from when I played as a player. And then I found CLA, it just gave a new clarity on how to approach my program in general including implementation.

I've used resources from several sites. Transforming has definitely been worth it. The annual membership provides a great community to discuss different issues and get ideas. The membership library has videos on just about every concept and examples on how to teach. One of the best resources has been the Small-Sided Games Book. It has great activities that are well organized and provides several variation to really focus in on what we are trying to improve.

The free content is great and incredibly informative and useful. However, the paid courses are very helpful to those who are seeking to apply the CLA approach to their basketball coaching. The book is also in my all-time top five basketball coaching books! Can't say enough good things about Alex Sarama and Transforming Basketball!
