Buggy desktop application. Slow to start. Training adaptations keep showing up even after I decline them.
Custom support keeps reporting bugs to engineering team but they don't fix them.
Customer service is terrible. Obviously a bunch of kids. Rude. Condescending. Biased. Not willing to help. Complete disregard and indifference alienating customers. I will not be renewing my subscription based on my customer service experience.
I had high hopes but not what I was expecting.
The AI aspect sounded great but coupled with numerous software issues, tickets and emails I wasn't impressed. It seemed like there were under the hood updates too frequently and roll backs!
The support team was quick to respond to tickets but fundamentally the AI does not incorporate the non trainerroad activities within the progression although it does your FTP. The issue was that after some long events it was impossible to maintain the TSS and progress was artificially reduced.
Overall disappointed. Maybe when the AI fully integrates workouts with adaptationprogression I would be willing to reconsider.
Great way of improving one's fitness. Structured training without unnecessary distractions. I've had great effects after just one month. Each weekend riding outdoors I'd see my progress by new and new PRs on segment climbs
I've been a cyclist for decades and have always been a fan of indoor training, but mainly in the winter. Then I came across the TrainerRoad's Ask a Cycling Coach podcast and really liked the evidence- and science-based approach they had to training.
Eventually, I subscribed to TrainerRoad and now am a big proponent of indoor training throughout the entire season. I'll still ride outdoors for longer rides, but for anything less than two hours, I now prefer hitting my rollers and knocking out a TR workout.
From the flexibility and thoroughness of their training plans to the awesome content they put out both in their blog and podcasts, I've been impressed with TrainerRoad all around. And when I've had questions or given feedback, the support I received is among the best I've experienced. TrainerRoad is an awesome service with a fun, customer-oriented team behind it. Highly recommended!
