I just noticed that of 18 May 2026, this TPG mob has double charged me by automatic debit for two phone accounts. This has happened with them previously. They are sneaky as you cannot contact them... See more

I write this review currently 3 months deep in a dispute with TPG where I continually ask them to cease services, stop billing me and close my account, and... they just don't.... and keep charging my credit card.
I had to cancel my credit card just to stop these scumbags from continuing to scam me every month for services not rendered. I pray that the TIO will uphold my complaint against them for reimbursement and that God will deliver justice via bankruptcy and the collapse of their sham business. If you sign up for TPG after reading these reviews, you deserve every misfortune you will inevitably encounter.
GFY TPG.
Very Bad Customer Service. I ordered sim for $12.40 prepaid plan. I had touble to activate the sim. I was made to cancel the service and reactivate it again and charged me $25. Very disappointing.

Complete waste of time - they have a "price beat guarantee" but won't actually beat Dodo's NBN 500 Whitleout offer $61 a month for 6 months deal.
Absolutely terrible experience with TPG since my service was transferred from iiNet.
Two months later, after more than 10 phone calls, I still have not received the modem that was supposedly “dispatched.” Every time I follow up, I get a different answer and no actual resolution. It’s clear there is no accountability or proper tracking of customer issues.
To make things worse, I was told my business phone couldn’t be transferred unless I paid an extra $30 per month and signed a new 24-month contract — completely unreasonable and not part of my original agreement.
Customer service is unhelpful, inconsistent, and unable to resolve even basic issues. The whole process has been a waste of time and extremely frustrating.
Avoid this company if you don’t want to deal with ongoing problems and poor service.

I tried to cancel my NBN service after being mistakenly charged $140. This took me multiple hours on the phone to resolve. After cancelling. I was hit with hidden charges, overcharges, and terrible customer service. Avoid at all coast.

Absolutely Appalling Customer Service – Avoid TPG ALTOGETHER.
I just experienced one of the most frustrating customer service interactions I’ve ever had with TPG, and it perfectly highlights how broken their support system is. Not only that, but this seems to be the norm with many providers. Provide poor quality service, and hang up when customers get upset. TPG is one of them
I called simply because my payment had not gone through. I had already updated my account details the day before and attempted to pay, so I rang to report the issue and resolve it.
What should have been a simple fix turned into an unbelievable ordeal.
First problem — the operators were extremely difficult to understand. Clear communication is the absolute minimum requirement for customer support, and unfortunately that was missing from the start.
Then I was told something that made absolutely no sense.
The operator told me I could not access my own account because my former partner was still listed on it.
Let me make that clear.
I am divorced.
I requested over a year ago that she be removed from the account.
TPG confirmed at the time that it had been taken care of.
Yet here we are a year later and they still haven't fixed it.
So according to TPG:
I can’t access my own account
I can’t manage my own services
But they are perfectly happy to take my credit card details and accept payment
How ridiculous is that?
When I pointed out how absurd this situation was, the operator then warned me that if I became rude they would hang up.
That statement alone tells you everything you need to know about their customer service culture.
It sounds like they get so many angry customers that hanging up has become their standard solution instead of actually solving problems.
And sure enough, after explaining how unacceptable this situation was, they hung up on me.
No resolution.
No attempt to help.
Just hung up.
This is what customer service at TPG has become — scripted responses, no authority to fix anything, and the moment a customer gets frustrated with their incompetence, they disconnect the call.
Customer service used to mean helping people solve problems.
Now it seems to mean shutting customers down and hanging up on them.
If this is how TPG treats paying customers, then people should seriously think twice before signing up with them.
There are plenty of internet providers out there.
Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding TPG altogether.

I wish I could give them -5 stars, worst company I dealt with you can give them loyalty and they will not ever appreciate it. Their customers service is even worst then their service. Please don't be fooled by their cheap internet they are disgusting
Like other reviewers, I had been with TPG for years. It was like being in a long, abusive relationship. Service would stop working, then start again. It was impossilbe to get ANY support whatsoever. The only choice I had was ultimately to move providers, and suddenly everything was fixed. When I then went to cancel (was well beyond my initial contract), I got kicked in the teeth one last time - another month to pay even though I'd just paid for a month. Just to cancel was a small nightmare - it took 3 different people and transfers and holds. All told it was 30 minutes on the phone, which is a record short call with TPG. The last lady I spoke to offered me free service to stay with them - even though I'd explained that I'd moved to another provider just to get the service I'd been paying for but not actually receiving. When I said no thank you, she told me that I'd still have to pay for another month of service even though I'd only just paid for the month ahead. What a rip off. What an awful service. TPG is a Monty Python level of awful.
Absolutely hopeless! Been with TPG for 18months plus, poor coverage, frequent phone disconnections. Went to change plans and they can’t do it till next billing cycle!? Have run out of data and they can’t help. BEWARE.

I cancelled my NBN service with TPG in writing and received confirmation that the service had been cancelled. Despite this, two further charges were applied to my account.
After being unable to resolve the issue directly, I had to lodge disputes through my bank. Both disputes were investigated and resolved in my favour, with the charges refunded.
The internet service itself was generally fine, however the billing and cancellation process required significant effort to correct.
I did not give consent for direct debit, yet money was taken from my account without authorization. Initially, I was paying manually, and without any clear notice, the payment method was changed to direct debit.
I contacted them and requested that my card details be removed so I could continue paying manually. It has now been four months, and they still have not removed my card. Despite my repeated requests, they continue to charge me without consent.
I have reported this issue, but instead of resolving it, they responded by implying that I might not pay my bill if direct debit is removed. That accusation is completely inappropriate and unprofessional—especially since they initially agreed to remove my payment details.
On top of that, the service itself is unreliable, with frequent internet dropouts around 1am. Please don’t act as if this service is doing customers a favor.
Very disappointing experience overall.

they took my money didnt give me my sim say i cant verify so they cant give me my money back they are shite
Biggest scammers. I cancelled my account due to the slow and unusable speed. They kept charging my card. I called them up and they gave me a credit into my TPG account that I no longer use. I got charged again the next month. I can't think of anything else but getting the ombudsman involved.
Honestly, I'd leave zero stars if possible. Given the run around with transferring locations. Given the run around trying to cancel the relocation. After requesting a disconnection for an existing service, they cancelled it - without warning - 2 days after the request, despite being advised of a disconnect date. Oh, and their so called notice period for disconnection is 30 days!!!! 30 days!!!! Don't even need that much notice to move house!!!!!
It is the 5th day without internet at home.
The Internet connection has been totally screwed by the INDIA-BASED TPG customer service and dodgy sales rep who misrepresented products and their inaction and lip-services.
So far, INDIA-BASED customer services only does apologise after apologise , but did not fix my problem.
As a customer, I do not like offshored service centres, because I am paying big bucks for good services, and Aussie workforce provides Australian customers the best services.
Want a new Australian number? You need to have an existing Australian number, to get a new Australian number. Have you just arrived to the county? Don't have an existing local number? No worries, just buy and register a new number elsewhere, then come back and use that number to get a new number with TPG (literal advice from the support person). What a f joke.
⭐ 1 star — TPG, thanks for nothing
Stranded in Tasmania with zero service — not even enough signal to call TPG to complain about having no signal. Iconic.
Somewhere near Hobart I finally got a bar or two, waited 30+ minutes, and when someone finally answered, she spent so long reciting scripted apologies I could’ve grown a new SIM card myself. I told her, repeatedly, “cut the bullshit, this call is going to drop.”
She hung up on me. Perfect customer service, honestly.
Meanwhile TPG has two accounts under my name, can’t process updated card details, and told me to “turn on the modem”… even though I was told also that I haven’t had internet since October. Apparently I’ve been paying for air, paying for home and mobile.
If you enjoy chaos, incompetence, and being unreachable in an emergency, TPG is the provider for you.
