Good service for the money

We moved to a small property a few miles outside of town last year. The house is great, but we quickly realized our only internet options were incredibly slow DSL or an expensive satellite dish that dropped connection every time it rained. Both were terrible for my job, which requires being on video calls for half the day.

A friend mentioned townbroadband.com, so I decided to look into their 5G hotspot plans. I liked that there were no long-term contracts, so I figured we could just cancel if it did not work out. I ordered the unlimited plan and the device. It arrived in three days, and the setup was literally just plugging it into the wall.

The difference has been night and day. I get speeds over 150 Mbps consistently. Last week, I had to download a massive batch of files for work right as my kids were streaming movies in the living room, and the connection did not lag once. We even took the hotspot with us on a weekend road trip, and it kept us connected the whole time.

It is a bit of an upfront cost to buy the router, but the monthly price is fair for what you get. If you live in a rural area and are tired of dealing with bad internet, give Town Broadband a try.

Thank you for te help

I just wanted to thank Town Broadband for their dedication, they really went the extra mile to fix my connection when it stopped, they sent a technician 2 times and finally resolved the issue. We live in a suburban community and my kids love Town Broadband's service.

Good internet for rural areas

I live in a small rural neighborhood, and getting good internet has always been a problem. A lot of companies don't even offer service out here. But I decided to give Town Broadband a try, and I’m really glad I did. The connection is better than anything we’ve had before. Before, my kids couldn’t even watch videos without the internet stopping, but now they can stream without any issues. The speed is good too, and I don’t have to worry about it cutting out like other services. It’s been a real relief for us, especially with how remote we are. I’m happy with Town Broadband, and I’d recommend them to anyone living in a place like ours.

So far so good! My real experience

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I really wanted to share my experience with TownBroadband because it’s been such a positive one.

My husband got me one of their little hotspots back in June after I was in a car accident and had to start working from home. At first, we had some trouble with coverage, but their team was amazing, they swapped out our SIM card three times until we finally landed on a Verizon SIM, which works perfectly at our house. Every time we reached out, they were quick to respond, super polite, and genuinely kind. It honestly felt like they cared about helping us, not just treating us like another customer.

I’ve seen some negative reviews online, but from my experience, they don’t really reflect what this company is about. To me, it feels like those are mostly from people who ran into issues because they didn’t play by the rules. For us, TownBroadband has been a huge step up compared to other providers we’ve tried.

So if you’re looking for reliable internet, I’d definitely recommend giving them a shot. They’ll do everything they can to make things work for you, and even if it doesn’t, they’ve got a moneyback guarantee, so you’re covered either way.

Finally Got Real Internet Out Here

Been farming this land for 30 years and internet was always a nightmare. Had satellite before but it was slow as molasses and cut out every time it rained. Cable companies said we were too far out to run lines.
Then Town broadband’s 5G came to our area last spring. My neighbor told me how he put up a small antenna on his barn roof, ran a cable inside to a modem and got speeds over 100 megs. That’s when I decided to give it a try and did the same setup, it took about 2 hours, and never looked back.
Speed is amazing - getting around 150 down and 50 up most days. Kids can actually do their homework online now without waiting forever for pages to load. Wife can video call her sister without it freezing up. I can check grain prices and weather radar without wanting to throw the computer out the window.
Best part is it works in all weather. Had some heavy storms this summer and never lost connection once. Price is fair too - paying about the same as we did for that lousy satellite but getting way better service.
Only complaint is sometimes during peak hours in evening it slows down a bit, but still way faster than what we had before.
If you’re in a rural area and tired of terrible internet, these folks are worth calling. They actually care about serving us country folks instead of just the city people.

Good and solid so far

I signed up for Town Broadband's wireless service internet a couple of weeks ago, and so far, it's been solid. Speeds are consistent, even during peak hours. Setup was also quick and painless. Not bad at all.

Scam Artists; Zero Support

Last November, I signed my parents (who live in an assisted living facility) up with this company, Town Broadband, for rural internet service and up until August, it worked relatively well. In July, Town Broadband contacted me to buy a new router and I specifically asked the person who called me about this (it was a girl) if this needed to be done right away because I would be going out of the country for 6 weeks starting in August and my parents would not be able to troubleshoot any issues that may come up without my assistance and the girl told me that it had to be purchased to replace the current router (which I had just bought back in March for $199 which I was told needed to replace the router I initially bought at the time I signed up last November for $399). I authorized the purchase and upon receipt, installed it for my parents on August 2 and at the time installed it, it did appear to be working, but about a week into my trip abroad, while talking with my parents on the phone, they told me it was no longer working. My parents are very limited on what they can do so I handle all of their affairs now and troubleshooting a router isn’t something either of them would be capable of doing. Upon my return home in September, I confirmed that the router was not working so I contacted Town Broadband for
assistance--I called them and "John" told me I would need to open a ticket online (which I did: Ticket #56996) and not a soul responded to me to help. I
called many times, followed up with E-Mails, and not a single person would respond. After a few weeks of not getting any response, I called and asked them to cancel the services all together and indicated that I wanted to return the router and was told I would need to talk with a supervisor and I would need
to open another ticket (which I did: Ticket #57073) and to date, no one has called me to discuss. I have called their number so many times and have followed up with E-Mails but no one will even reply to them and the people who answer the phones there are not authorized to discuss the return of this router. I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and with the Attorney General's Office. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Complete Scam

Complete scam, absolutely one of the worst service providers available. I have no idea how these guys are even still in business.... We paid almost $900 for a years service which only worked for 112 days on and off. Went 3 weeks without service at all because they shut our service off saying our hotspot needed "updated" after the AT&T unlimited retract and made us send it to them which we had to pay for. Went back and forth for 3 weeks before they finally responded and said it couldn't be updated and we need to spend another $200 on a new hotspot provided by them. We elected to cancel and had our hotspot returned since we owned it, plugged it in and it worked fine for 2 hours before they shut if off again. We then got a message from them that if we don't use their hotspot they will not send signal. Been fighting for a month for a refund and all the want to refund is $95 of the $900 I sent them. The worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life!

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. They gave me a free item from there online store to change to a six month plan. When my six month plan renewed in feb 24 2024 I was charged $540 for next six months. On March 5 my service was terminated for using over 800 gig data!!!and they will not give me any refund. They claim you have a seven day trial period. I had service with them for a couple years and everything was fine. This company is scammers for people living in rural area. Do not use this company,, I repeat they will steal from you and cut you off. If you do use this company only use a month to month plan to not get totally ripped off bc they will say your using too much data at any time and try to blame AT&T.

Scammed me out of money

I had their service for about 17 months and service was okay during that period of time. In March 2024 Town Broadband reached out explaining they could no longer offer unlimited AT&T and offered to cancel my services. At the time they offered to cancel my services I had only used 5 of the 12 months I had paid for. While I didn't expect a full refund for the remaining 7 months, I fully expected a sizeable refund. (roughly $400.00) Today they sent a message stating there would be no refund. In my opinion they are not trustworthy when it comes to the financial end of things. Fortunately I was able to get another service for my rural/remote area. Another fortunate option is that the new service I found is much MUCH better than I had before. I would not recommend Town Broadband to anyone for multiple reasons.

They basically robbed me

Service was ok while I had it, but when they could no longer offer the unlimited AT&T plan they screwed me out of $600+ so I can't really recommend them. 😡

I'm not going into more detail because I've wasted enough time on this company and my experience is the same as many people have already mentioned.

Crooks!!

Like many other reviewers, we too were ripped off.

We purchased a 1 year (12 month) service plan & SIM card January 2024. Like other reviewers, our service was canceled by AT&T and we were sent a new SIM for T-Mobile service.
T-Mobile service worked okay for about 22 days and stopped working. No connection. We placed a 'service ticket' request online and within a couple of days, our service started working again.
After 26 days, our service stopped working again. I submitted another 'service ticket' requesting either a refund for the remaining months if they can't keep my service active. No reply from them at all.
I was using this 4G internet service as a failover/backup, as we also use a satellite internet service provider. They can't even get my service operating again and no refund either.
My recommendation; Don't ever pay these people for anything. It's a ripoff, a total scam.
If I had a way to do a chargeback on my credit card, I would! It's been over 120 days and my credit card company doesn't perform chargebacks after that period of time has passed.
I feel like they've stolen my money and misrepresented the service they claim to provide.
Don't do it - you'll get ripped off - and the service was terrible when it (sort of) worked.

TOWN BROADBAND HIGH SPEED INTERNET is Scam

To who it may concern or thinking of using Town Broadband High Internet, Do not I repeat do not use or purchased Town Broadband High Speed Internet company for rural areas. I start it with them back on February of 2023 they where charging me $107.00 a month for unlimited Internet access, They were using AT&T Carrier for my services. They never mention that the plan they were providing came with
Data restriction. AT&T suspended without notice the internet access to Town Broadband company due to breach of data contract when they purchase the sim cards. When I reclaim that I spend two weeks suspended without internet Town Broadband requested for me to open a complain ticket to request a partial refund of $56.00 for the month of February 2024, and another refund for 107.00 for the month of March 2024. The total was $163.00. they need to refund me. Which they never did. Town Broadband High Speed Internet Company tried to charge another $107.00 on April 27,2024 ounce they could not charge my account they cancel and never refund it me. Town Broadband High Speed Internet are deceiving, corrupt, and thieves praying on honest hardworking people and not Practicing ethical and honest business. DO NOT PURCHASES OR HIRE FOR ANYTHING UNLESS you want to be robbed.

Trust Pilot

Trust Pilot, I am not sure how to contact anyone there. TownBroadband continues to make up lies and never offers any type of proof. Now they are saying I sold data, a bald face lie, without offering a shred of evidence. I tried to mediate or at least talk to TownBroadband, they refused. Any other provider would have contacted me and we could have maybe found if there was a problem. Not them though, they saw a chance to make a quick buck and jumped on it. They have always said they notifed me "repeatly". No they did not. The first indication of a problem was an email from customer service, who said he was doing as he was told, he was a flunky, according to "Oliver". Then they tried to put the blame on AT&T. I don't know, AT&T will only talk to you if you have an real AT&T account, my account was through Townbroadband, just used AT&T data as reseller. I cannot see how they think 800 GBs/month is that much data. They think 400 GBs/month is all people need, they are seriously behind in data consumption. I have a 750 GBs/ month now. I only used about 500 GBs/data, did not make any changes. I think something is fishly with my data, but it is looking more and more likely to me that the fishy scent is coming from Townbroadband. I hope Trust Pilot can ask them to prove their statements. They expected me to be able to back up what I have said.

Do not do business with Town Broadband

Our experience with Town Broadband was horrible. They discontinued the ATT plan we had and only offered one at a much higher price. We canceled our service 10 days before our next month to month billing cycle, but they still charged our credit card. We then changed our account back directly with ATT after having to install another SIM card ATT provided. Then one month later ATT suspended our service and blacklisted our hotspot that we originally purchased from ATT saying that the data Towns provided was in violation of their use agreement. Do not use this company. They appear to be buying data from ATT and violating ATT’s service agreement when they sell it to their customers. You will end up paying the price for their dishonesty.

THIEVES and they will take your money too!

They theif had good service for one year but as of March 15th 2024 nothing is reliable. I paid for a year up front, like I did the year before, and within the first month of year 2 nothing works. They said AT&T no longer offered unlimited (which I bought) and I had to switch to T Mobile. It took two weeks to get the new SIM card, which means 2 weeks of no service. I get the SIM card and it works for one day and it stops. So they tell me I have to open a ticket, I do so and a week straight off no service and no response to my ticket and can't get anyone to do anything about this. Now I haven't had service for a month and no one will get back to me about a refund. THEY ARE THIEVES!

FRAUD THROUGH ATT FIRST NET

So I figured out a lot in the last 24 hours. They are offering unlimited internet by pretending to be with a first responder group then getting lines under the FIRST NET program which is highly fraudulent. I found this out and found out that the device I bought free and clear was reported as stolen . Everyone needs to call first net at (800) 574-7000 to let them know what they’re doing. Also call att with your imei bc I can almost guarantee they marked your devices the same to prevent usage and f*** people over more.
