I suspect this to be a fraudulent…
I suspect this to be a fraudulent scheme. We have consistently been advised against signing or following instructions under duress by anyone. In my case by TotalAV
On either the 23rd or 24th, a prominent red alert banner appeared across my Google pages, stating, "my accounts are in danger." This was accompanied by a flashing alert. The message further prompted me to "Sign immediately only for $11.00 and $30.00 after I think and if I don't download I get invoiced for a year for $11.00 anyhow." I proceeded to make a payment via PayPal due to a perceived security threat.
Within ten minutes, I attempted to cancel the transaction but encountered a complete lack of response, initially from the UK and subsequently from the US. I sent six or seven emails, receiving only generic replies and a code to apply from the US. My inquiries regarding their identity have gone unanswered.
I wish to emphasize that I have never subscribed to TotalAV, yet they possessed my email address. I requested an explanation for this. While all responses addressed me by name, none directly addressed my request for immediate cancellation. I believe I was operating under duress, and this practice is considered illegal in my country.

TotalAV reimbursed 11.00 after 18 emails, I have send. No apology, still throwing it back to a potential consumer. I suggest for TotalAV to change their advertising methods.●
