Buyer be ware, I purchased an item, that ultimately didnt fit my application (an aquarium), upon calling to see how to return the item I was told I could not. I thought the item was on sale, apparently it was an open box and final sale.

I hadn't even taken the item out of the shipping box, and was told under no circumstances could I return it. To be fair I am sure this was noted on the web site, but as a frequent online shopper it was not obvious to me that I could not return it.

I tried to explain the situation and just kept hearing from the customer service person that their policy says it cannot be returned.

I think their online content is great, but due to this experience I will never shop with Top Shelf Aquatics again.

Deserved 0 star if possible . 1 star is too high. I ordered Hannah Alkalinity Checker on Nov 6th and the reagent expired in December 2024. This will be first and last order. Order #51171

We all know these products have a shelf life, and you were fully aware of what you sent me. The expiration date is clearly visible on the box with the Serial number. You deliberately sent me a product with only one month left before expiration to get it off your hands.

Please don't give me excuses like "Hannah sent out a bad batch" or anything. I emailed your team and received no response.
