I would not recommend Tooth Club (Maidstone Branch) to anyone whom values their time and money, based on my experience detailed below. The whole process felt extremely disorganised and very focused on money rather than customer care.
The treatment I received was for SPARK aligners to straighten my teeth.
I had issues regarding what was actually included in my treatment package on more than one occasion. Firstly, I went in for an appointment and was under the impression I was collecting my teeth whitening whilst there but was told teeth whitening was not included in my treatment plan despite it being pre agreed as part of my package. I was sent home whilst they looked into this and later contacted after they had checked and realised I was correct asking me to come back the next day to collect the whitening. Unfortunately, people have work commitments and can’t just rearrange their schedules at short notice. No apology was given for the inconvenience of this either. Why could this not have been checked whilst I was there to save me another journey?
The same thing happened with my finishing night time retainers. I was told they would cost an extra £400+, only for the branch to later admit this was a mistake and they were in fact included in my treatment package. It honestly makes me wonder how many people would have simply paid the extra money without questioning it and again it is then left to the customer to double check everything is as it should be and your not getting ripped off!
Communication is also incredibly frustrating. There is no direct number for Tooth Club branches, so every time you need to contact them you have to go through to a switchboard, explain the reason for your call and then be transferred and that's if the line is not busy, because if it is you have to call back and go through the same process again. It’s unnecessarily time consuming.
On top of that, every single appointment I had with the dentist, Monica, ran late, usually by at least 20 minutes or more despite me always arriving on time. In the end I would just be 10 minutes late as why should I waste my time for a company that does not care about wasting mine. As someone trying to fit appointments into a one hour work break, this was very stressful and felt like there was little regard for customers time. Again, not a sincere apology was given for this, it was as though it was in their right to waste people's time?
What disappointed me most was the ending of my treatment. When I went to collect my final retainer and all funds had been paid, there was never once a conversation asking if I was happy with my results or experience overall. It felt very transactional from start to finish.
Overall, what should have been an exciting experience, felt unnecessarily stressful, impersonal and insincere.

My sister Nadia had her composite bonding done at the Romford Tooth Club practice and it has been causing her severe gum issues and trouble with cleaning because of how poorly they were done. Within just 2 months of having them done, she began experiencing irritation, inflamed and red gums, and constant bleeding when flossing, something she never had before despite brushing and flossing daily. If this was an issue before, the dentist wouldn’t have completed work on her unless her gums were stable I assume?
She didn’t immediately think the bonding was the cause and continued her hygiene routine as normal, hoping it would improve, but the issues kept coming and going and caused extreme discomfort. Around 3/4 months later she visited our local dentist who stated the gums appeared to be suffocated by the bonding and that open ledges were trapping plaque and debris in places floss couldn’t reach, causing the irritation. Bare in mind this was only 4/5 months after the bonding was done, and with regular hygiene/check up appointments every 6 months, this cannot be blamed on hygiene alone.
2 months later after making a complaint with Tooth Club, they insisted she come in for a review. She had already lost faith in the clinic’s work but attended anyway. The reviewing dentist did not properly assess anything, took no scans or x-rays, and simply said “I can see your gums are irritated but continue flossing and brushing” which she already does every day. He also said “why are you worried about the ledges, if the bonding falls off we can just put it back on” which is ridiculous.
That same week she visited both her local dentist again and another private dentist who took photos and x-rays clearly showing plaque gathering around ledges, bulky and uneven bonding, and gum irritation. This was despite her having a routine clean/check up just 2 months earlier. We have now been told on 3 separate occasions the bonding was poorly done, yet Tooth Club still insist everything is fine. For someone who already had some gum recession, this is clearly making it worse and the bonding needs to be removed. The Tooth Club dentist deemed her suitable for bonding, so clearly her gums would’ve been stable beforehand.
This needs to be taken seriously because paying almost £4000 for this is crazy. It’s impacting not only her oral health but also her mental health. She’s now having to seek wellbeing support from the GP due to anxiety about further gum recession, decay, and potential tooth loss if this bonding stays in place.
The practice manager was dismissive and defensive, repeatedly saying “well you came back 7 months later so what do you want us to do” and mentioning missed calls for hygiene appointments. Since when is 7 months too late when most people attend reviews/cleans every 6 months anyway? She also did not want to return to the clinic due to the poor work done. The calls were mostly marketing calls pushing a £15 membership programme after repeatedly saying no. It’s crazy how they care more about marketing and sales than patient health.
We now have further clinical review appointments booked and have spoken to a solicitor who advised us to pursue a dental negligence claim. We are continuing to document the damage being caused and have even started recording her hygiene routine to show it is being done properly despite the bleeding and floss catching on the ledges. It’s upsetting this has to be taken this far, but we will not allow this to slide as someone’s health is being jeopardised.
Offering free removal is not sufficient considering almost £4000 was paid and it hasn’t even been a year. A “fix” is also not sufficient as the bonding needs to be fully removed to prevent further damage and the money refunded.
We have also spoken to other people on social media who experienced similar issues and will continue gathering clinical evidence before sharing her experience publicly, so PLEASE do your research, look at the negative reviews on Tiktok/Instagram, and go to a practice that prioritises patient care over money.

I have had composite bonding carried out at the Romford Tooth club practice, and since then I have experienced ongoing gum-related issues as well as concerns regarding the durability of the bonding. These include floss catching and splitting, open edges/margins trapping plaque and debris, and constant bleeding when flossing, despite not having these issues prior to treatment.
When I raised these concerns with the practice, I initially emailed PEC toothclub team and was asked to attend a face-to-face review after my concerns were not fully addressed via email. During the in-person assessment, I was advised to continue focusing on my oral hygiene in relation to the irritated and red areas, despite already maintaining good hygiene practices. I was also told that I should have returned earlier, which I explained was because I had initially tried to allow time for the situation to improve, as the symptoms were intermittent, and because I had lost confidence in the practice and wanted the bonding removed rather than further adjustments.
I had also attended my local dentist for a routine check-up and clean during this period, who suggested that the bonding may be contributing to gum irritation. However, this was later questioned by the practice, who suggested my symptoms may have been caused by that appointment, despite me explaining that the issues had already been ongoing before this visit.
Overall, I felt my concerns were not fully addressed and that my ongoing symptoms were not appropriately considered. I am still experiencing discomfort, and this has had a negative impact on my confidence and emotional wellbeing, causing stress and anxiety regarding my oral health.
I have requested a refund to allow me to have the bonding safely removed elsewhere, but this has not yet been resolved, and I was simply offered a free removal which isn't suitable given I am paying almost £4000 for a treatment that has caused me such issues. I ideally wanted matters to be resolved internally but I unfortunately will have to seek resolution through the court especially given the consequences this will have on my oral health if any deterioration. I will also be sharing my experience through public platforms so others can make informed decisions based on my experience.
I’ve had all my treatment here by Cristian and the team. They were brilliant from start to finish and they gave me my smile back.

Tooth Club Bishops Stortford has been great. I’ve had Invisalign with Dr Shivani S and she has just been wonderful. As an ex dentalphobe, she’s provided me with a level of care that I’m so grateful for. Each appointment feels like it has real purpose and the treatment results have been brilliant. She’s so lovely and I’ve always felt really well looked after.
I hope to continue having Shivani S as my dentist because she’s absolutely brilliant at what she does. Thank you!

IRecently had 3 damaged teeth repaired, and a course of whitening at the Sutton Coldfield branch. I cannot praise them highly enough. Juanita, Riana, Emma and all the other staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. My dentist, Farouk (hope the spelling isn't too bad), was excellent. Very informative about the processes, friendly, and very gentle with his fingers in my mouth! Even after I wasn't 100% with one of my teeth repairs, the whole team were understanding and got me rebooked in asap and corrected it for me. Very, very happy and now enjoy smiling a lot more.

I had my consultation about whitening and composite bonding in the Loughton branch with Charlotte who was super friendly, professional, knowledgeable, talked me through the process and my desired preferences as I was conscious that I wanted a natural look. The consultation made me excited to get my procedure dates booked in straight away.
Dr Sepi, with the help of Chanel completed my clean, plaque removal and then took a 3D mould of my teeth for the whitening trays. They were so pleasant, made me feel comfortable during my appointments, explained the procedures in even more detail and what was to be expected, which eased my anxiety.
The composite bonding was completed a couple of weeks later and I am immensely pleased with my results. I chose the shade for the bonding with side by side comparisons and Dr Sepi checked in with me after completing half of the top set of my teeth to confirm I was happy with the shape and colour. I must say the colour and shape of my teeth are perfect! She's like a magician and I didn't feel any pain during the procedure. I couldn't be any more pleased with my results! I was talked through my aftercare, keeping up with my polishing/hygienist appointments and made sure to get my extended cover for a further 6 months in case of any accidental damage.
I've thought about getting cosmetic work for such a long time and I'm happy that the Loughton branch was my practice of choice. I didn't know I could have so much fun being in a Dentist chair, whilst vibing to their fabulous playlist.
Thank you Toothclub Loughton! 🫶🏾
