Multiple release campaigns have been messed up by some features not functioning and staff not resolving them in a timely manner, despite how much I prep in advance and how much time I leave for them to resolve it. They do not even do anything unless you specifically ask, and it took multiple replies before they even acknowledged the issue.

I have been using TooLost for over a year and have uploaded hundreds of releases through their platform. In the beginning, everything worked smoothly and communication was clear. But in the last several months, my experience has become extremely frustrating — mainly because of the Needs Documentation team.
Every time I upload new releases, I wait a full week or more, only to receive the same message: “Needs Documentation.” I always provide complete and official legal documents proving my ownership and copyright rights — yet my submissions keep getting rejected without a clear reason or explanation.
It honestly feels like the team does not review the materials at all. They just send generic automated responses asking for “new documents” again and again, even though I’ve already sent everything required. The process has become repetitive, slow, and completely unhelpful.
Waiting 10 to 15 days just to get a rejection message is unacceptable. Other professional distribution platforms handle verification within one or two business days. TooLost’s Needs Documentation team delays everything, ignores follow-up messages, and provides no real feedback or assistance.
This has caused serious damage to my work — delays in releases, lost revenue, and disappointed artists who depend on me to publish their music. It’s unfair and discouraging for professionals who invest time, effort, and money into doing everything correctly.
What’s even worse is that TooLost used to be efficient and easy to work with, but now it feels like the review team is overstrict and disconnected from creators. Their actions are not only slowing down the process but also pushing loyal users away from the platform.
I strongly believe TooLost needs to completely reform or retrain the Needs Documentation team, improve response times, and treat creators with transparency and respect. Without these changes, TooLost will continue to lose trust and credibility among serious professionals.
At this point, I am very disappointed. I still hope the company improves, but if things continue this way, I will have no choice but to move all my work to another platform.

Too Lost is extremely frustrating to deal with. Their customer service only sends pre-written emails and does not read or respond to the actual issues you raise. I have been repeatedly explaining that my account was blocked due to a fraudulent DMCA claim: the song doesn’t exist, the claimant email bounces, and there is nothing in my portal. Despite this, they refuse to lift the restriction or release my funds.
I’ve tried multiple times to get help, spoke to the project manager on linkedin, but all I get are generic messages that ignore everything I write. They are effectively useless if you expect a human to actually solve your problem. If you value real support and accountability, do not use Too Lost. This experience has been unprofessional, frustrating, and completely unacceptable. If you respond to this with "You can get in touch with our support team anytime at SUPPORT URL or by contacting us at SUPPORT EMAIL" you're obviously not taking it serious. They aren't helpful. Contact me on linkedin instead. Or use your personal email so that there's actually a human on the case.

If one song flags for need documents then expect every single song, even 100% original to all be flagged even if you send licenses it will keep looping again and again saying need docs with no end to it and no human customer support. Only automated responses to submit through need docs. It's risky as you'll be paying for no reason. I have been using toolost for some years now without any issues. I'm a record label host and one client was pushy wanting me to submit something that could trigger copyright from the title and the artwork yet the song was original. I warned the client not to but he threatened to cancel and would probably leave me a bad review. I've never been in this situation before and now I'm more strict and won't let anything like that through and I've told toolost this but no human help or solution was available. I'm forward and honest and showed screenshots of how the client was treating me but I'm now penalised as well as many other innocent artists all because of one bad client of mine. They do not support honest record labels. They also said they need docs for an original work of my own with my producer that is a divine message from God to help save lost souls. They enforced their blanket ruling on that too. I just put it through distrokid without any issues and no flags. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! This could happen to you even if all your future tracks are original. You will get punished just for one song that will affect the rest of your uploads. Be very careful with this company.

TooLost is the best distributor we’ve worked with to date. Not only do our songs get delivered perfectly and promptly, the whole team is incredible to work with and provides the support we need with every ask. The benefits of priority pitch have landed us playlists that we wouldn’t have been able to get ourselves which was a massive bonus which other distributors haven’t done in the past.

I'll be completely honest, had it not been for Augie Sommers, I would likely give a 3 or 5 star review. Augie is an A&R rep for the company and has been the main point of contact for my work. Whenever I have an issue, he responds promptly and takes care of the problem. As a whole, Too Lost is still a great company. If I had any complaints, it would simply be that it takes a while to get approval on releases, and sometimes it can be a little frustrating dealing with ticketing for release issues. But with Augie's help, I have been able to have things dealt with promptly, professionally, and quickly!

Since partnering with TooLost, the team has been nothing short of supportive, responsive, and helpful to the development of my artistic career. Augie, Meghan, and Jake have been my main contacts and have truly helped me from all facets of my music delivery to marketing. They are all very detailed and patient with me. Would highly recommend working with TooLost if you are an independent artist.

I’ve had such a great experience working with Too Lost as partners, and especially with Augie. Not only is the platform seamless and reliable, but Augie has been incredibly responsive, supportive, and helpful throughout my releases — from quickly handling inquiries to making distribution simple and stress-free. I truly appreciate the effort he puts in for artists. Thank you, Too Lost and Augie!

Was excellent at start but then , I git "Documentation Needed" messages and my songs are held up. I supplied proof but it has been ignored. Now it doesn't even allow me to upload new songs at all. Drop windows don't work and publishing button can't be accessed. So Thats what's going on. Very strange because audio and sound matches are my own songs. But Too Lost doesn't realize this and continues denying songs. I also don't understand that I have over 180 songs out and have made less than $20 profit on all my songs combined. If Too Lost would fix all these issues they would be a 5 star rating. But with these issues I can't even honestly give a 4 star less a 5 star rating. Please help because I love Too Lost, it's just the wall I hit, and hasn't been resolved in over two months. Sincerely, Eddie G

Website is great! So far so good, great royalty-split system. Highly recommend to newer artists and producers. My only take back is the mobile app doesn't seem to run as properly as it should! That's all. Thanks.

Bad customer support ruins it all.
✓ Slow response, worst at explanation. You get to them once, they'll get back to you like 3 - 4 days, weekends are not included.
✓ Need Docs on everything even upload your own edited mix previously distributed by them.
✓ Even you delete your own uploads, you need to wait for them to approve it. (for what?)
✓ The most frustrating thing is when it's on Need Docs you can't delete it.
✓ You'll have no idea what they want because they won't tell you why it's on Need Docs.
If you've got so much time in your life, please try wasting it on Toolost. It's cheap though, if you're lucky enough, you'll get approved out of the blue.
I may add from the recent activities.
✓ They aren't responsive when you ask like why your royalties payout is slow, as of today which has been almost two weeks of business day.

I love it alone, don't let the payments take so long... I need to invest in instruments and software 😭
