I would not recommend this at all.
I would give it zero stars if I could. The quality is poor, and the customer service is non-existent! I had an order in February. It took me a month to get in touch about the issue and ask for a return. Then it took another month to chase the refund. The product was returned last month and I still have not got the refund a month later! They are not available on phone and they don't respond to emails. I will avoid this brand in the future even within large department stores! Their quality does not meet the asking price.
Outlet store scam
Placed an order at the outlet store for the large beat shade in white. Had a random fitting delivered. The Tom Dixon team ignores emails and refuses to resolve the issue. Bought from the store a few times and always a great service. Suggest you avoid any online sales especially from the outlet store which is a scam.
Charging a fee for returning a cancelled order
I placed an order for a number of items one of which was on back order. The back order item was delayed so I cancelled -on more than one occasion. Bizarrely that prompted them to say it was miraculously in stock and they would ship. I told them not to. So they did! It was left on the doorstep for a few days as I was away and now they expect me to arrange return and pay a return fee. One for the credit card company I feel.
Omg how to destroy a business
Omg how to destroy a business! Sell stuff and have zero customer service / helpline when things go wrong! A month in no delivery no response …… nobody to help ….. how to destroy a brand . You are doing a great iob of it
Great and inspiring display
Great and inspiring display, I came in for a little browse and ended up with a Melt chandelier thanks to Bart and his expertise. The light arrived before expected time which was a good surprise but I received a live tracking.

Received an excellent advice from the team and ended up with 1 chandelier in less than a week, the delivery was smooth, thanks to Tom and the team

Some really cool items and designs but the prices they have for the quality is subtly offensive. The material, weight etc feel no different to items being sold in other shops but at a fractions of the design. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s made in China. Their “outlet” also just shows that their margins (production costs to sell price) must be extremely high if they are able to reduce products by 85%…
Don’t get me wrong, they have cool designs but if you’re spending at their price range, you are better off going to a top designer (e.g. Roche Bobais).
Products for the 20th not 21st century - Press table lamp
We have other Tom Dixon simple fitments with lamp shades; they are not cheap but very good-looking products. They are simple ceiling lights with no electronics. We have just bought two dimmable Press table lamps only to find out that don't work with a simple smart plug, on/off! They now want to charge me another £40 x 2 to exchange for floor light cable sets that work properly but are really inappropriate for a table lamp as they have foot switches!!! They have the audacity to try and justify the different way of working when in this day and age it would be simple to have a consistent way of working across the ranges to suit everyone, as a thinking company would. Spoke to their Sales and Customer Service, and they were next to useless and I understand why the Trustpilot customer reviews is 1.8!! Form over function with loads of profit!! I am incensed with the incompetence of the product development, customer service and Sales team. They just don't tell you the complete story and without further questions I would be having another frustrating conversation with them in the near future. I will avoid and tell my friends. They deserve the 1.8 score on Trustpilot!! They only look like a premium company.
Non-existent customer service.
I don't recommend this company. Placed an order on 22nd December for which the money was taken. Sent a tracking number but nothing has moved and no one replies to my emails asking where my order is.
Absolutely terrible customer service.
Selling items they don’t have in stock…
Let me place an order for something that wasn’t in stock. Pretty poor.
Poor quality
We bought wine glasses with a copper trim around the base and have always taken care when washing by hand not to rub any part of this. So we are extremely disappointed to see that the trim is coming off. I would not have expected this as the glasses were quite a price.
I’ve got a £699 stainless steel lamp…
I’ve got a £699 stainless steel lamp and a £399 stainless steel lamp, beautiful and mushroom/bell shaped. Identical apart from size. They are both GORGEOUS. The smaller and less expensive one is situated next to a double glazed window. It has tarnished, very badly. It is absolutely covered in black marks and streaks both large and small. You can’t rub them off and there is no difference in texture/height to these defects when I try to polish them off. I’m VERY disappointed!!! My house is very well insulated so the only difference between these very expensive lamps is the proximity to the window, so DO NOT PUT ONE ANYWHERE NEAR A WINDOW 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
EDIT: To be fair, I haven’t contacted Customer Services but I will now. I bought these lamps based on design only which I still think is outstanding! Perhaps I should have read Tom Dixon’s reviews before purchasing, that’s on me. I will speak with Customer Services and report back, hopefully soon.
POOR QUALITY
We purchased a Tom Dixon Pepper Cracker from Heals Store. 18 months later it broke. Because it was over a year old Heals were not interested, So we contacted Tom Dixon Customer service to see if they could repair the unit or supply a new top as it would not hold the bottom section. Tom Dixon were not prepared to do either. So we have a £120.00 pepper cracker that if you pick it up by the top you will have 500 pepper corns all over your floor. Well done Tom Dixon
Awful experience and still no products
I have never left a review here in my life and I really wish I'd checked here before purchasing from Tom Dixon. Ordered lights over a month ago and still no word on shipping. I have reached via email 3 times, dm'd on social media, and called countless times. Please anyone who reads this DO NOT order anything from them unless you want to be openly robbed.
Excellent customer focus from Brutus
Communication with Brutus at TD Head Office has been straightforward.
He has been very helpful and responsive as well as supportive.
Absolutely awful customer service
Absolutely awful customer service. Ordered light on 13th July and still no sign of it. Emailed customer service and they came back saying they would get it sorted , follow up emails sent and no response. Ordered lights from Heals and Peter Jones a week later and all arrived !
Brilliant service
Brilliant service. Ordered three stunning Bell lamps and some tableware. All arrived within two days, beautifully and sensibly packaged. Thank you.
Bought lights
Bought lights, paid money and that’s it. No delivery no communication. These guys are thief in plain sight, how can they get away with this, is this fraud?
Impossible to get LED ring replacements…
I am writing this review in desperation as I have found if impossible to get a replacement LED ring for the Tom Dixon Mini Melt (which only lasted 3 years). There is no obvious way to order one online and their customer service were hopeless, asking me for a serial number and video of the fault (ie the light not turning on!?)
I love Tom Dixon but they are not viable due to lack of standards based smart home automation
I love Tom Dixon and own 14 of their products but I am rating them as uninvestible. That is because their new products with integrated LEDs are either very hard to home automate with voice control (pendants require a separate controller eg Zigbee with Hue Hub implementations) or are simply impossible to automate beyond turn off (not on or dim) for wall and floor lights (with a smart plug.)
As I am disabled and unable to walk then smart home integration aligned to the Matter / Thread globally accepted home automation standard is a must. I understand a desire not to go down a proprietary route (eg Apple, Google or Alexa) but the global Matter standard has been around a long time now and vendors like Apple and Hue have adopted it, so there is no fear of vendor lock in and therefore no excuse for Tom Dixon whose products are not compliant.
