I contacted T M Hughes to examine my broken shower. It had been fitted over 18 years ago and I fully expected it may need replacing. During really helpful communication they reassured me that they would make every effort to repair it. Dylan attended, on time and quickly established the problem, got the part and fitted it within 45 minutes. Really polite and helpful. Great service and will use again!

I am really happy with the work done by T.M.Hughes and son. they removed my whole bath and installed a new walking shower plus seats. The whole job was carried out to the highest standard excellent service from starts to finish professional and tidy. I would happily recommend them to anybody looking for a reliable and trustworthy company, thank you very much for a great job.

Bathroom flooring was fitted to a very high standard, I was very pleased with the result. I would recommend without hesitation.

We started using T M Hughes a few years ago when we were seriously let down by our insurers heating engineers. Terry and his team are good communicators, very helpful and extremely dementia aware which makes them a great choice for us.

In January 2026 our mum’s ageing combi gas boiler became unreliable and ongoing repairs would inevitably exceed the cost of replacement. The quote from T M Hughes for a new boiler was much less than we expected and would get things back on track before the colder weather arrived.

James arranged for a new boiler within a week, (would have been sooner if we had time ourselves) and finished the job well ahead of expectations with no disruption to our elderly mum or her carers.

Watching James in action was a lesson in how professionals organise a project and get it done without fuss or delays.

By teatime the only sign of the considerable installation work was that we again had reliable heating and hot water.

We trust T M Hughes and will of course be using them again.

Brilliant response from Terry, Kai and other team members who had to come out to deal with a leaking pipe in the kitchen. Apparently an old rotting hot water one that had been capped off and left behind when no longer required. They explained everything and it was excellent experience all round.

Very good service. Had been let down by another company, so rang TM Hughes. They said that they could do the job in two days time. Kai (owners son) arrived as promised - had to collect spare parts for the job, which he completed very professionally. Left the site clean and tidy. Will use/recommend them again if needed.

Terry and his team (with a special mention for Pavell) did a great job of renovating our central heating system. They replaced two of our twelve radiators, a circulating pump and a valve. They then power flushed the whole system. In thirty plus years the system has never worked as well as it does now! They turned up on time, did the job in line with the estimate and provided great follow up to make sure we were happy. We will definitely be using them again.

We recently had a 14 year old gas combi boiler replaced with an ErP A-rated gas combi boiler by Dylan from T M Hughes & Son who did a great job. Dylan was friendly and professional, keeping things clean/tidy and being respectful of our home. He showed us how to operate the new system and answered any questions we had. Dylan also did some plumbing work for us last year and we will definitely use him again as we are really pleased with his work.

Terry arrived as promised and sorted out our problem quickly. He was able to explain what was wrong and advised us on what to do if the problem happened again.

TM Hughes & Son work very quickly and professionally, all the work is completed with almost no need to tidy up afterward. They installed a new boiler and pipes for us. Very good at responding to e-mails and queries. We definitely recommend their service.

I have recently used TM Hughes Electrical Services to replace 24 spot lights and a new consumer unit in my property. Andy has been accommodating and professional. The work carried out was first class and Andy left my house clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this company.

We moved into a property with an old boiler and within seven months it decided to intermittently stop producing hot water, giving us cold showers 😩. We called Terry at T M Hughes who sent Dylan Kelly out to investigate the problem. He diagnosed the issue and recommended us having a new Glow-worm boiler as the boiler parts were probably redundant.

We were given a date but Dylan managed to fit us into his schedule earlier, to our delight! He arrived early in the morning with the new boiler, worked really hard in our small, very hot bedroom and made an excellent job of fitting our new boiler. And what a delight it is to have a shower at the temperature that we choose with no cut offs on hot water.

We couldn’t recommend Dylan any higher - he is a really nice, hard working young man with a great work ethic. He left our home spotless with a lovely new, working boiler. Terry, the Governor, was really helpful from the start and registered the new boiler for us, sending all the relevant Gas-safe and guarantee paperwork on after the job. In our opinion a really great business.
