Very dishonest. Purchased an engine from them with the guarantee that I am receiving everything. Engine was received missing multiple parts. Additionally the turbo received doesn’t work. They don’t respond to emails.

These guys sell very bad engines .
My experience buying engines from them is very horrible. Don’t throw your money away .
They will scam you

I wanted a small clip for my L200 ,I could see one right there on a car. but no. no means no, no no no, Your on a slippery slop when you wont help the locals. The clip i wanted was of no use too them and they had loads of them, just could not be arsed. so i went to Bradford 4x4 spares and they were really good and let me have the clip, no problem.

Put a new engine in for me. It crapped itself straightaway. Sent it back, they reckoned they couldn’t find a fault. (It was running as normal again weirdly) sold the motor, it crapped itself again this time needing a new turbo.. transpired that the engine they sold me had done 80,000 miles and not the 37000 they told me it had done.
Weren’t at all helpful to the new owner and generally I’d say to be avoided

I bought a radio for £150, I had it professionally fitted and it was faulty!!! They will not accept returns and happily sell faulty items. The Irony the radio is only £50 more brand new and complete with everything....

Do you self a favour and do not buy here you will get it new working for also most the same price with a warranty. AVOID THORNTON BREAKERS

Check out the genuine bad reviews and not the fake positive ones. Many real people and real reviews have the same complaint.

Been using this company for a while. But always by email. Yet one time in September I phoned up. I don’t no who I spoke to. But he had a go at for complaining all week. I was gob smacked as not once have I complain and their service that I can’t complain about . So I gave this fool my peace of mind and now I am band from using their service , so what their saying is. The customer is always wrong. U have to take their insults .yet u can’t give any back, customer service by phone is terrible.

The part I have ordered is the exact part delivered. Even though it took some time between when payment was made and the time it was delivered (it was explained to me as shortage of staff due to the holiday period), the shipment was very swift. I would also like to suggest other payment methods for items not on your eBay shop, so that those of us buying from outside the UK would not have to go through third parties for payment. I look forward to buying more parts from you.

Had L200 in for replacement engine, had to constantly chase for an update as coming via public transport from south. The engine failed after 5 months putting a small business out of action. When asked if they could help sort the issue/supply another engine (even though we offered to pay for one) they refused. Do not recommend!

Phoned in looking for a specific part as I found their number on the internet listed as "Thornton breakers", nothing in there says 4x4 so I asked for a certain car brand and got a very sarcastic response. I am appalled with the service, granted I should have looked into the company more but I was In a rush and didn't have the time. Honestly a simple "no, we only deal with 4x4s" would have been fine.

Used 3 times now => Pickup rear canopy, taillight and towbar.. Easy to deal with, speedy enough and clearly care about what they are sending out.. all fittings sent (even if they have to replace bolts etc) and items in the best order you could expect... I'll be back!

I contacted James in Early December for an engine for my sons L200, this Gentleman was an absolute delight to deal with and any other staff I spoke with were so helpful. Nothing was ever a problem, whether it was advice, another part or delivery update. I honestly would not go anywhere Else and would rate them 20 out of 10 for service. Well Done and Thank You. Good company, have gotten me out of trouble a couple of times with quick parts delivery, one of the guys even chased courier to make sure my part would arrive next day during the pandemic, really helpful, not always the cheapest but I’ll take reliability over cheap

Brilliant service from these guys. Ordered on line around lunchtime on Thursday and the item was delivered Friday just after 1pm. Free postage was a bonus especially considering a lot of companies try to charge extortionate rates to deliver to Perthshire from down south. The item, a windscreen washer bottle, was in perfect condition and well packaged in a large box. Other companies need to take a leaf out of Thornton Breakers book. Will definitely have no hesitation in purchasing from them again. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for 4x4 parts.
