Long delays, inconsistent shipping communication, and unprofessional response when concerns were raised
I’m sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision.
I placed two t-shirt orders with thisoldengine.net on November 2 and November 18. The seller confirmed availability and stated multiple times that the orders would be shipping “today” or “tomorrow,” including assurances in mid-November and again in early December.
Weeks passed without any shipping confirmation or tracking information. I followed up several times because the items were intended as Christmas gifts.
After more than six weeks from the first order, I requested a cancellation and refund. At that point, the seller responded defensively and with an unprofessional tone, stating that the items would be shipped so I would “stop emailing.”
Shortly after that exchange, I received a shipping notification for only one of the two orders. The earlier order was later canceled and refunded without my request.
I understand that one-person and handmade businesses can experience delays. However, the repeated shipping assurances that did not match reality, the lack of proactive communication, and the inappropriate response when concerns were raised made this a stressful experience.
This review reflects my personal experience; others may have had different outcomes.
