Think in Italian is the course we have longed for as we plod through many insufficient online offerings.
Seamlessly combining composition, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary building, the AI factor offers ongoing assessment and correction. It's as good or even better than having a real time tutor because any and all aspects don't have a time stamp. My highest praise is that Stefano Lodolo has created a modern classic course of real learning that makes self-delusion about one's real progress impossible. Each Think in Italian session is challenging, fun, and inspires hope that one might, in time, attain the ability not only to think but also converse and compose in correct, colloquial, even scholarly Italian. Bravissimo e mille grazie, Stefano. ---Suzanne Rini

Questions regarding billing for renewal were initially met with canned response. Rating upgraded after billing problem solved. (Thanks Elizabeth.)

Think In Italian is different from a lot of other language learning sites because the repetition of phrases really does help you to begin thinking in Italian. I really appreciate the stories that you can read along with as well. They go from beginner to advanced. There are also many other features. Stefano and his team are so friendly and helpful answering questions of any kind. I highly recommend Think in Italian!!

Don't bother with this site - the creator Stefano is an angry, nasty person who launched a very mediocre site. If you contact him with a problem he won't be flexible and is unprofessional and rude. There are so many lessons and don't expect increasing challenges in the listen/repeat - it's VERY basic throughout! Not what a serious italian learner needs! In addition, they are constantly changing the site and not for the better! The material has changed and is quite stupid; although they probably they think the lessons are "cute", in fact they are actually are distracting! The Quizlet section is not his, he cannot fix it and does not work well at all! And there are no other exercises or quizzes so there is no way to practice or test what you've learned. Think in Italian is weak at best and is not a comprehensive site - definitely not worth paying anything for.

A well rounded set of materials to learn Italian. The lessons are easy to follow. From the beginning, real language is used, not just simple vocabulary and grammatical rules. I'm looking forward to continuing using the course!
Think in Italian is still my favorite language program! It’s been a year and I’ve just renewed for a second year. Stefano continues improving the site, this time adding an app which doesn’t require an internet connection so it’s available anytime, anywhere. There is so much content, all useful, and Stefano is constantly engaged with his students, responding to questions personally… no form letter responses. Think in Italian is an invaluable tool and far outshines every other program I’ve tried! So happy to have discovered it!

Is an excellent platform for learning and practicing Italian. It offers a wide range of resources, including audios and readings, which greatly enhance the learning experience. One of the key advantages of this course is its comprehensive approach, catering to learners of different levels, from A0 (no previous knowledge) to C1 (advanced). This ensures that individuals with varying proficiency levels can benefit from the course and progress at their own pace. Overall, I highly recommend this platform for anyone looking to improve their Italian language skills.

After spending well over $1000 trying to find the right fit for me, I stumbled upon Stefano's, Think in Italian, and never looked back. I am slowly making progress, and though I say slowly, it is only because of my schedule and family matters that have slowed me down. I will keep working at it until I am fluent and I don’t care how long it takes! I find his courses very well set up, and I really enjoy the quizzes at the end. Try Think in Italian and you won’t be sorry.

I’ve been using the program for a month now. So far I’ve found it very useful because you’re learning things in context. The audio is clear and it’s easy to repeat what you hear.

Sefano's course is life enhancing for those looking to advance their speaking and thinking in Italian. I have sampled several methods, and the material and method utilised here (with commitment) works wonders.

I have tried a bunch of different apps and courses, and this is the first one that has given me confidence and faster recall. It’s been 12 days and a lot of readings from “Leggi con me!” and it really does make a difference. Without even consciously thinking about it or translating, I know how to say more and more things in Italian.

Think in Italian is without doubt the best language learning experience I’ve had to date. The program is brilliantly simple without a moment’s wasted time… simply listen and repeat and the learning will progress naturally! As written by Stefano Lodano, the sentences are structured both to teach and to reinforce what came before, creating a natural progression of useful language right from the start. No time is wasted on typing in the responses, matching games or guessing. Listen and repeat… it really is that simple… but it takes a highly competent language teacher to write the program which cannot be easily copied and duplicated. Before taking the trial program I read all the reviews; read the five star reviews for all the details I’ve missed because I agree with them all! A month with think in Italian is better than a year of weekly private lessons and far, far better than Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, Babbel or any of the other courses I’ve come across. And best of all, Stefano is available and responsive when it comes to questions. His grammar explanations are clear and simple, and all the provided materials are worthwhile. Highly recommended!!!

Hmm, everybody here gives 5 stars. I'm surprised. "Ripeti con me!" promises to be different than the other courses and to lead to spoken fluency. Stefano has a lot of good lesson content on grammar and I like the graded "Leggi con me!" But, I don't believe that passive spoken repetition of a teacher is the best path to spoken fluency. I prefer methods where you are prompted to think of a correct reply and then to speak it. At least one well-known course teaches languages this way. I don't think "Ripeti con me!" passive spoken repetition is as effective.
Stefano replies below that his program is active. It is not. If you are interested, there are many good articles easily found on the internet that address active vs. passive language learning. S criticizes me for not properly following his method. I investigated his approach and decided that it was not the best method, so I have moved on. Think in Italian has much to offer, but it is not the best course for me.

Of all the programs I have tried, babbel included, Stefano has been the most helpful. I recommend it for anyone that wants to make an honest attempt to speak Italian.

Due to my advanced age, I am IT challenged and not only do I love this way of learning and feel Italian come flooding back into my ancient brain (I used to speak it badly fifty years ago) But also: Stefano replies in a very sympathetic, competent and prompt manner to my anguished cries for help and solves my tech problem!!

I started learning Italian with Stefano‘s course 3 weeks ago. It‘s a fabulous concept, I seem to pick up new words every day without apparent work! And I feel good about talking right from the beginning, I‘ve never experienced anything comparable when learning a language so far.

Stefano has created an incredible system for people who actually want to talk and communicate with Italian people. It's both fast and easy as well as nuanced, in-depth and measured. I employ several different methods from watching films to talking with a tutor twice weekly, but ThinkinItaltian is the basis of my study and the basis of my progressive learning. I'm now at lesson 146 and I leave for Italy in 7 weeks.
Non vedo l'ora!
