The wheels look great but
Cannot fault the work, the wheels look great. I had two new tyres fitted at the same time and was verbally quoted the price for these. I must take some blame but I only became aware of the addtional cost of fitting/balance, that appeared on the invoice. I think a customer should be told of this prior to making a decision to have the tyres changed.

21” diamond cut full refurb.
Pleasure to deal with and my wheels look as good as new. They had an issue with their lathe but I was kept up to date with when they’d be ready. Wish more businesses had this customer focussed attitude. No hesitation recommending them at all and will be using them again.

Alloy wheel repair
I brought my alloy wheel to the wheel specialist at the end of December to repair a small crack. The work seemed well done initially – I was happy with how quickly they turned it around so I left a 5-star review straight after collection.
The car is only used occasionally at weekends. A week later, the tyre pressure warning light came on – I pumped it up, assuming they’d not topped it up properly after the repair. The next weekend, the tyre was completely flat. When I tried to take it back that Saturday, I found they’re not open on weekends.
I called the following week and was asked to bring the wheel in. On inspection, they said the weld had re-opened and claimed the wheel was now buckled. I’ve driven fewer than 50 miles since the repair and have not hit any potholes or curbs – the car has been parked securely when not in use.
They’ve refused to take any responsibility, stating their weld wasn’t guaranteed, and have now quoted me £240 for further repairs (still with no guarantee). After doing my own research, I’ve learned that improper welding techniques can cause alloy wheels to buckle due to heat damage during the repair process – which strongly suggests the issue was caused by their work.
It’s deeply frustrating to have left a glowing review based on initial appearance, only to face a dangerous failure and then be asked to pay again for what’s likely a problem they created. I cannot trust this business to carry out safe, professional alloy repairs and would urge others to avoid them for alloy wheel welding…

Alloy wheel welding is carried out by approved third-party specialists and, as explained before the work was authorised, weld repairs are not guaranteed. This is due to the nature of alloy wheels and the stresses they are exposed to during normal road use. Unfortunately, it can sometimes take only a minor road imperfection to cause a crack or buckle to reappear, even where very little mileage has been covered since the repair.
When the wheel was returned, it was inspected again and the findings and available options were explained based on its condition at that time.
We understand this was not the outcome you were hoping for and appreciate how disappointing that can be. However, the advice and next steps provided are in line with the welding policy that was agreed prior to the original repair.
