Our experience with the Upstarters was nothing short of excellent. My cofounder and I came to them with our design prototype and a product vision hoping that Bubble would be our solution, and this team absolutely blew us out of the water with their deep expertise and passion for their craft. They put in an incredible amount of time scoping out every technical requirement of our project and provided a knowledgeable sounding board for working through some of the more complex solutions. While we ended up needing to pivot into a full-code approach with our platform, this team was an absolute joy to work with, and I'd never hesitate to work with them in the future or recommend them to anyone looking to build a project on Bubble. Absolute professionals.

We were building a relatively complex app that we knew would require product-oriented thinking in addition to technical know-how. From the first phone call with the Upstarters team, we knew that not only were they knowledgeable about all aspects of how to build our product in a no-code environment, they also proactively considered its usability. We have benefitted from a structured scoping process, linear milestone delivery timetable and every single team member has been very pleasant to work with. We wanted a robust, on-budget development process for a challenging app, went through a thorough process of comparing a dozen of agencies, and are very happy with the results

The entire process, team & experience @ the Upstarters was just absolutely amazing! I had so many questions and little nitpicks...they Ali, Nathaniel & Sam handled them with so much patience and clarity. They always offered quick responses, help and solutions. I received a terrific app at an excellent price!

After things didn't work out with my co-founder, I was looking everywhere to find a way to develop a first version of Garmie. I had explored a number of different avenues - none of which I could afford. I was almost losing hope when I came across The Upstarters and was really pleasantly surprised with the affordable price and quick time-frame. Throughout the whole process, their communication has been amazing (which is super important!) and their support has been invaluable. As a first time solo founder, they didn't just do whatever I asked, but they would push back and advise where their expertise could offer a better solution. I found this to be a really helpful and valuable part of the process especially for an early-stage start up. Most importantly, the app they produced is perfect and I'm so excited to launch, test and build more with The Upstarters!

I used the UpStarters for some design work on my bubble.io based website. They ran the project effectively with minimal set up from my side. The work was excellent quality and the process ran very smoothly. I would recommend them highly for any bubble.io based work.

I approached the upstarters as we had a concept that needed an MVP and I couldn't stomach the price tag I got from a traditional app builder. The Upstarters proposed a significantly more functional product, with way more features and better look and feel for a fraction of the cost. Once we got started it was clear these guys knew what they were doing, we hit each of our milestones on or ahead of schedule, which was surprising. Working alongside with the team instead of being left in the dark until a final product was delivered, allowed us to spot problems in our vision, adapt the business and the app at the same time, and gain clarity. The team at the Upstarters asked us really good questions to make sure we were thinking things through, instead of just assuming what we asked for was what we really needed.

We needed experienced developers who could hit the ground running. Our marketplace app was in mid-development when we began our partnership with The Upstarters, but our app had major issues from the previous developers we worked with. The Upstarters rebuilt our entire app from scratch and produced the high-quality app we wanted all along. . They were quick to understand our goals and trajectory, were extremely smooth and effective in delivering our vision with an intuitive UI, without requiring oversight. Most importantly, they struck a balance between technical guidance, and enthusiasm for our vision, all while maintaining a tightly structured roadmap.

I can't say enough good things about The Upstarters. My organization (in Canada) was looking to create an app for our month-long celebration of our profession, and we met (virtually) with a few different companies. We decided to go with The Upstarters because they were most thorough during the initial quoting process. We worked with Sam, and he asked all of the right questions - so I knew they would be diligent during the development phase. During the development phase, we worked closest with Nathaniel. He was really good about doing some development, then showing us so that we could approve or make changes before going on to the next area. And even once we launched our app, if I had questions I would just shoot Nat a quick Skype message and he would help us out. Our app was clean, very easy to use as both a user and admin, and it was all within our budget. Plus, Sam and Nat were truly nice guys and it was fun to work with them.

If you want a horrible experience and your MVP to not function - but they keep your money and then threaten legal on you if you try to dispute, then this is a great option.

Addition to response 11/24/20:

Yes my bank refused the dispute because I activated the prepayment.

Again, anyone thinking of using them for a project, I had third party developers from SAS and Redhat look over what the Upstarters consider 'nearly finished' and they all told me I got ripped off.

Ali is amazing and knows his stuff but the rest of the team thinks their capabilities are 10x what they are actually capable of.

PLEASE see this as 3 red flags before you regret hiring them. The only reason I'm leaving this review is to hopefully save someone else from making a mistake. I lost $10k and will get nothing back. I have nothing to gain from this just a slightly expensive learning experience.

The Upstarters team are real rockstars! My company Reveffect assigned them to build our first ever MVP for the Travel & Tourism industry and their team went above and beyond to fulfil all of our requests.
Nathaniel, Karen and all team members were very helpful and always trying to find a quick solution to all minor or major difficulties. I totally recommend them and i am sure their unique product, they call it Launchpad, will amaze you. You have the chance to preview your app before buying it. Once again Upstarters thank you for your contribution.

Above and Beyond! - We worked with The Upstarters to give Homebox a boost in getting the service to market. Their huge depth of knowledge and approach to growth is not easy to find and they really do know what they're doing. Through an iterative and experimental approach we refined our MVP and really got the wheels spinning. Thanks Nat!

Great experience, great delivery, super transparent, and great turnaround time

Well planned and managed execution process from A-Z. Building apps without Nathaniel would not be so easy. If you are serious about your business you and digital landscape - that's what you need.
