Failed to deliver item when stated

Order a bottle of whiskey for my partner's birthday. Company stated it would be delivered by 13 March 2026. Item failed to arrive and company did not respond to telephone calls. Item arrived on 16 March but was too late. Company offered and charged for a gift note option but this was more like a delivery note attached to invoice! VERY POOR. ☹️

Poor customer service

Ordered on 5th December. Was emailed to say it was dispatched on 9th December but by 19th it hadn’t arrived. They said they wouldn’t even follow up until 21st December (too late for a delivery before Christmas). When I asked them to send a replacement they said they wouldn’t follow up until 25th December. So, no Christmas present then. I won’t be ordering from them again as they understand nothing about customer service.

Ordered lovage alcoholic cordial for my…

Ordered lovage alcoholic cordial for my 90 year old neighbours who haven’t been able to get hold of this for years, ordered online with no problems but didn’t notice that somewhere on the app it says, do you want it tracked? Had problems with Royal Mail who tried to deliver it 3 times but never left a card.
I tried to phone but nobody answered so sent an email and they replied the next day advising that the missing bottle was with the Royal Mail and gave me the tracking number, I was a bit worried after reading some of the comments but the company sort👍

Fabulous service

Fabulous service, received my order earlier than promised, was scheduled for a 3 day delivery but arrived next day and price was cheapest I could find.
Glad I didn't check here before ordering as it might have put me off, I received the opposite, a great service and will definetly use again

Poor Customer Service

Order two gin glasses and had an email saying delivery expected on 1st August - nothing arrived.Sent an email to customer services on 5th August but no response. Customer Service in name only. will not be buying from them again

Placed an order on 8/06/25 for a bottle…

Placed an order on 8/06/25 for a bottle of rum and gin, no response 4 days later so contacted tipple Cellar who advised Gin was out of stock so they'd dispatched the gin and refunded the gin. Delivery is charged at £5:45 so, as stated to them, I would not pay that for one bottle anyway. I should have been given the option to cancel or amend my order rather than them decide to omit the gin from my order and still gain the £5:45 delivery fee.
I have been very disappointed with customer services will likely elsewhere for any future purchases.

Poor customer service, such a shame

We had a really bad experience here. Ordered a gift for delivery on 19th December. By the delivery date, item hadn’t been dispatched. Phone line was never answered, emails were ignored.

Had to call their sister company, a gin bar to get anywhere. The staff were so helpful, and through sheer persistence and their help I tracked down a tracking number. The gift arrived, late, but it got there - however we made numerous calls to achieve it and the owners just didn’t care so I’d avoid using them in general. I like to use independents where possible but this one just isn’t worth the hassle. Such a shame - their bar sounds great!

My partner ordered bottle of Six towns…

My partner ordered bottle of Six towns gin on 6th of December as a Christmas gift. Haven't received the order. Rang contact number daily goes to voicemail Both me and my partner have emailed and left message on contact board no reply to either. Only correspondence we had was to say the gin was dispatched we rang royal mail see if they could help they said without tracking number from the supplier (which we haven't had) they can do nothing. As of yet after daily ringing no reply from the tipple cellar extremely poor service.

Honey rum

Ordered 2 bottles of honey rum on the 16th of December as a gift. The company has awful customer service I tried ringing over different days never got an answer tried emailing never got an answer

I got an email then to say the product was out of stock and would arrive in the UK on the 27th of December then it would be shipped out.

Still day almost a week later with no updates and again no updates from trying to contact the company so I can’t even cancel my order.

Ordered 3 bottles of honey rum on the…

Ordered 3 bottles of honey rum on the 16th for Christmas presents, contacted them on delivery day as we hadn't had confirmation of dispatch and had family staying in to sign for... we were told they never had them in stock in first place, and that they should still be in before Christmas and we would receive in time, we contacted them again on 23rd and was told still no stock and did we want to cancel, we said yes and have not heard anything since nor confirmation of refund! We have had to constantly chase for updates when they should of refunded the minute they knew they had no stock! We have now escalated with bank! Don't use this company!

Ordered 3 bottles of whisky online - not shipped 6 days later?

Ordered my 3 bottles of whisky 6 days ago and haven't received an email since, updating me on the status which I would have expected to have been dispatched by now.
I've rung their landline number several times and strangely it goes straight through to a BT voicemail? Sent both an email and left a voicemail however, no response received yet.

I don't consider this good service which is why I'm reporting this as one star.

Now regretting why I went away from my usual whisky suppliers who deliver within 2-3 days from order.

The delivery timeframe was due to specific items in your order that were on order from our supplier. We made every effort to clearly communicate the expected delivery date in advance.

We are sorry for any confusion or frustration this may have caused and assure you that we strive for clear communication at every step.

Regarding the difficulty in reaching us by phone, we sincerely apologise. We had just renewed our phone contract, and during the transition period to a new system, our landline was temporarily unavailable. This isn’t reflective of our usual service standards, and we deeply regret the disruption. We’re happy to confirm that this issue has now been fully resolved.

New spirit store

Not ordered from this company before but as the drink I wanted was unavailable at my usual outlet, I found it in stock and slightly cheaper here. Speedy tracked delivery. No complaints at all.
