Why did we not visit sooner?!!!!

A delayed review because I was waiting to actually test out my new boots – the proof, after all, is in the skiing. I hoped I'd notice the difference and it was huge. More fun, more confident, greater technical ability, I couldn't have enjoyed myself more.
Dan, all I can say is you are a boot fitting legend and your 'right boots first time' reputation may have just nudged up a few percentage points! And to Scott, 'Boa Man' is also very happy with his and the tinkering you did with his Ski Mojos was much appreciated!
The service we received at our fitting was excellent. Friendly and professional, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience – well worth the hour's journey.

Thank you Rachel for taking the time to write such a nice review! We are normally on Google reviews wise but we spotted this today, and have posted it on our facebook page so Dan gets to see it :) Thanks again...

I wish I had read the reviews before…

I wish I had read the reviews before driving from London. They don't answer the phone, even though there were plenty of staff when I arrived ..... they sell footwear but unless you pay them £50, they will not allow you to try the boots on! There is no indication on the website that this is the case, and even having appealed to them, I was refused. I agree with the other negative reviews, if you want a pleasant experience, avoid these rude and unhelpful people. Don't bother with them, they're not worth it.

Oh dear Edward, afraid I have to post the same reply on here that I posted on Google Reviews. I wish I could post up the CCTV too, but unfortunately we are decent people here and respect the law. And the comment about owing suppliers money? As a high turnover business yes we owe suppliers money, and we have many of them, but well done for stating the obvious! We dont pay for Trustpilots services as we dont believe in spending money for review services, but the 250+ reviews on Google will allow customers to judge for themselves... even without the CCTV...

"Hello Edward, think I need to put the record straight here, especially as you were so rude to my team member and made the customers who did read our website, the sign on the door, and had made a booking uncomfortable and had their visit marked by your behaviour. You were visiting a by appointment ski boot fitting business, not a footwear shop. All boot work is by appointment, as stated in our website repeatedly, on social media, in our ads, on Facebook and Google, and our range of YouTube videos, and the front door sign of course. I am sorry you missed all that when the other customers in for their fittings didn’t.

Ski boots are definitely not “footwear” and to treat them as such can be dangerous, if that’s what you learnt when you worked in the alps we just are not the business for you.

We don’t charge for fitting ski boots, we do charge £50 for visitors that turn up without an appointment and just want to “try boots on” and then leave not buying anything and buy online. We are a business after all, and as per our reviews hundreds of customers are very happy with the service we offer and often travel for hours to visit us - with an appointment booked.

If you don’t read information on the same website that gives you directions to us, then taking it out on my team and writing a one star review doesn’t reflect badly on us, but you especially as you say you have worked in a ski shop so should know how important the boot fit process is. I am genuinely sorry you didn’t do your research before driving to us.

If you had been polite we may have seen if we could make a fitter available while you waited, but by that time you had already stormed out of the shop, slammed the door, and wheel spun out of a farm track with horses in the field next to where you do this, all because you were upset at your error - you hadn’t read any information on our website or front door, and wanted to treat ski boot fitting as the same as buying a pair of trainers. We don’t charge for ski boot fitting, it’s the right way to get the best result. There are other ski boot shops that will meet your needs I am sure and just take your money.

So I hope you find somewhere where you are happy and get the service you want, and are a bit happier.

Terrible experience for us too and my fantastically understanding customers too… CCTV was an interesting watch…

Thank you

Hello Matthew, Charlotte who did pickup the phone and did give you an update just an hour ago is a little confused with your comments. But to confirm the glove delivery was delayed by 3 weeks and is due in later this week, and of course if you are not happy simply let us know and we will cancel and refund your order. Thank you and sorry for the delay. Scott - Owner

Superb, friendly service!

Went for a joint boot fitting (hubby and wife). Dan the fitter was superb! I have a problematic right foot and he patiently tried everything he could to give me a comfortable fit. My husband is equally thrilled with his new boots. Dan's expertise was apparent. He was very warm and determined to make this a great experience for us. Highly recommend!

Great online shopping experience

I called the shop yesterday morning to ask for some advice on their range of Hestra gloves. I was given some useful information, and I purchased them that afternoon.

They were dispatched within half an hour and arrived within 24 hours of my call!

I would definitely recommend and look forward to shopping on their website again.

5 star experience - miss it, miss out!

We had a joint boot buy/fitting appt today. Completely naive and never had my naked feet exposed to a member of the opposite sex in close proximity before for such a long period. The appt was made for 3 hours - which did seem to be overkill BUT, never have I received such a dedicated service. The whole experience was really professional, smooth and such a friendly aura that I would happily recommend Skiers Lounge to anyone who wants quality service with a defined personal touch. We both bought boots that are so comfy they are like a fav pair of slippers. Can’t wait to test them on the slopes. Every question was answered thoroughly and it was apparent that this company are passionate and proud of what they deliver. From the lady who first greeted us and made us a welcoming drink, to Scott plus Hugo entertaining us and lastly but not least -Dan the Man who made three hours seem like 15 mins, thank you! It was an absolute pleasure to do business with you!

Ski Boot Fitting

Recently went to skiers lounge for a boot fitting, 3D scan and 3D print insoles. Very easy to book and find. Dan the boot fitter was great, we went through a few different brands before finding the Phaenoms an ideal fit. Dan made a few adjustments based on how they were feeling and I couldn't ask for a more comfortable pair of boots. The shop has some great offers so I got them at a discount which is icing on the cake.

Highly recommend if you're in the London area and can make the trip.

Little Gem of a Ski-store with a Wizard in the Workshop

I received a damage pair of skis from an online retailer.
I asked Skiers Lounge to help, including a new mount after having had a lot of previous cooked mounts in other UK shops.

After Dave, at the workshop, did an incredible repair job using the utmost care and attention including a perfect mount I will not be going anywhere else for the servicing of my ski equipment.

Although the workshop is in high demand, with a relatively long lead-in time, they are do a fantastic job and are flexible in their approach and service to their customers.

The shop itself is very friendly, courteous and fast to reply to any queries.

Incompetent and unprofessional

Extremely unreliable and unhelpful company. Purchased ski boots from them and they never arrived and Skiers Lounge have not refunded us or offered to replace boots. Instead the female employee I spoke to was useless and refuses to acknowledge any liability and had to be repeatedly contacted and prompted to raise a case with Royal Mail. Company completely violates contract and consumer law and shows no regard for costumer. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Thank you for your review which is untrue and an unwarranted attack on one of my team here. There are so many errors, but rather than engage with you further, which I have tried to do, I will leave our other customers to speak for us on the service we offer. We are not perfect and make errors and resolve to fix them, but when someone wishes to be this angry at people and a company then there is little we can do to engage, and you did after all hang up on us during our last call. Thank you. Scott - Owner

Faulty product sellotaped u& resold

Product brought online. Once delivered the box had clearly been opened before and sellotaped up. Product doesn’t work. This company doesn’t follow consumer law with regards to faulty products, organising returns and postage. Beware

One of the rudest companies I have had…

One of the rudest companies I have had the ‘pleasure’ to deal with!! Email form didn’t work so I called them. Scott, the owner answered. This is the guy who went bankrupt a few years back owing many suppliers and colleagues heaps of money. “I’m not working today – it’s my only day-off – can’t answer your question as I’m at home!” Why on earth did he answer the phone if he isn’t working?? His tone and attitude was shocking!! Also owing so much money to so many in the ski industry he should be working 7 days a week to pay them back!! Thought I would give him a second change as was a previous customer and I felt sorry for him – what a mistake! My advice – go to Soultion4Feet in Bicester – ask for CEM - for great customer service, care and politeness! Avoid The Skiers Lounge at all costs – you won’t regret it!

Thank you for the review Graeme. I am sorry you felt you didnt get the service you expected, but we were trying to recover post lockdown and re-open the business so were taking calls to this end. We will ensure we dont answer the phone when we are closed in future.
