A worthwhile investment
My understanding of photography techniques, compositions and lighting has improved significantly since starting this course. I find the tutors very helpful, and readily available to respond to questions about the course content or assessment whenever I have them.
It is worth noting that there are many additional expenses during the course, and before starting I think it is worth considering how much you’re willing to invest through the duration of your studies, as there is more than the upfront course and equipment costs.
But overall, I am happy with my experience and would recommend the course to anyone serious about improving their photography skills.

What made my experience great has been that it was so easy to sign up to do this diploma.
The ease of been able to do work in my own tine and own pase.
Been able to sign up when ever and not been bound by a date.
I did struggle not having others to connect with whom we're at the same stage as me.
Maybe a group team met once a month could be useful within these could be a guest speakers to give us advice etc.

Gave up - boring way to learn & expensive for what you get.
I gave up on this course. It's expensive for what is offers and I found it a boring way to learn. It provides information to read by way of modules and realted tasks, but to say you have a Tutor is a bit of a stretch. What you really get is someone to grade your tasks and add a line or two commentary but it's not support as it having them on tap to interact with. There are much better ways to learn photography that cost way less. I wish I hadn't wasted so much money on it, particulary as I didn't finish it but will just have to put it down to experience.

The tutor always gives very helpful feedback. The assignments are marked very quickly and the learning material is interesting and I learned a lot about cameras and photography. The learning material are written in suck a way that it keeps your attention and you want to learn more

Great course, highly recommend!
I have been doing photography as a hobby for years, but really kind of winging it. By the end of module one, already things were starting to click and make sense for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course so far and cannot recommend it enough!

Excellent Photography Course
I’m currently doing the professional photography diploma course with The Photography Institute. I’ve just submitted my module 10 assignment and I feel since starting this course my photography has gone from strength to strength. The course is easy to navigate through and you can study in your own time. My tutor is Gary Wallis and his feedback after each module is invaluable. A fantastic course, thank you PI!
I have enjoyed every minute of my time as a PI student! This course opened up an entire world of photography I never realised existed, and just made me fall deeper in love with photography. Each module contains a wealth of information but is written in such a way that it's a joy to read, not too overwhelming and makes things easy to grasp and understand. This course will also challenge you and encourage you to do your own research and learning, which I feel let's you grow so much as a photographer because you don't get spoon-fed everything. My tutor always provides me with incredibly valuable and helpful feedback after each assignment and is always there to answer any questions I have. I would really recommend this course to anyone interested in taking their photography further, whether you're a beginner or aiming at going professional, it has something to offer for all.
