Traditional menu but not the 'same old same old'
This our second visit and both were very good. Very friendly staff and an excellent choice of starters, mains and desert, together with a selection of fine wines. All reasonably priced.

Sunday lunch at it's best - a warm welcome on arrival on a cold & damp day. We were shown to our table and given the menus with plenty of tie to choose. All 3 courses turned out to be winners - freshly prepared and good quantities with a touch of a good chef's own input to the food. All plates were clean at the end of each course. even the bread served with the soup was special - a touch of rosemary had been mixed in when we queried the fine taste.
No pressure to leave as soon as we had finished and, overall, to be recommended for anyone not familiar with Wells' various eating spots.
