Just did my back the best favour ever!

Ok, wow! Firstly, I must say, I was shocked and saddened for the company to see all the poor reviews, why? because I deliberately installed trustpilot on my phone to write this review.

To address a couple of issues raised consistently in the reviews: As far as Coms were concerned, I received notice of my purchase order and that it could take up to 7 - 10 days before being ready to dispatch. I had one notice after that to say it was nearly ready and then a final notice to say it had been dispatched and on its way. All told about 12 days. Personally, I was happy with coms and it did what it said on the tin, so to speak.
I never read any reviews prior to installing trustpilot or at the time I purchased the item. I had no great expectations about the item being perfect as it is a refurbished item.
As far as delivery is concerned, it arrived on time once tracked and I could not have been more pleased as brand new version would have cost me double the price.

I have been using it for two weeks now and am beyond thrilled with it and why I felt compelled to install trustpilot and given a 5 star review. I love it and so does my back, for that reason alone, for me, worth every penny and the wait, which is why it was so sad to hear of others disappointment. However, people are less likely to write glowing reviews because it seems that, in our digital world, it is an endless request from most retailers and who has the time. I felt I had to review this because of the difference it has made to my working life.

Shambles

I should've looked at the reviews here first, but I ordered 2 parts for my chair, 1 has not turned up and the second snapped as soon as I installed it. Have contacted customer services but who knows if I'll get a response!

Awful experience. Avoid

I chose this company because the proposition is strong and I liked the idea of a more sustainable way of purchasing a refurbished chair .

However, my experience has been consistently disappointing.

The first chair arrived in a condition that did not reflect a refurbished product. The legs were scuffed with exposed metal, there was a visible tear in the fabric, and there was a lack of adequate protective packaging around key areas such as the legs and wheels. It felt less like a properly restored item and more like a used chair that had been sent out without sufficient quality control.

While an exchange was eventually arranged, communication throughout was inconsistent. I was advised that senior team members would follow up, but no response was ever received from them directly. I had to chase multiple times before a replacement was issued.

The replacement chair itself was acceptable, but the process around it remained difficult. The boxes used are extremely large, and in my case, navigating them through a narrow hallway with existing back issues was not straightforward. Despite this, deliveries were made without requiring a signature and were left on my doorstep, which created additional inconvenience and risk.

There also appears to be a lack of coordination between the company and their courier, FedEx. Delivery dates changed without warning, and the system did not allow for meaningful rescheduling.

More concerningly, a further shipment has triggered in error and one of the team simply said she no idea what miscommunication has happened here. Despite multiple requests to have this cancelled at source, I was advised to “reject the delivery” instead. This effectively shifts the burden of resolving the issue onto the me (their customer), which is not reasonable particularly when dealing with large, heavy items.

At the time of writing, the shipment is still active and I have not received any confirmation that it has been cancelled..

The concept is strong, but the execution falls short in ways that create unnecessary friction for the customer. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the company in its current form

Ordered chair 16/3/26

Ordered chair 16/3/26, 10 day delivery window. Today is 10th day. I have contacted via email, phone and chat bot several times for an ETA, no response at all. I have now raised a complaint with trading standards as when I look at my account with office crowd order has not been fulfilled. Do not buy from this company as there is clearly a problem. Which needs investigating. I have sent yet another chat bot and email to cancel order, that probably won’t be acknowledged either. Steer clear

I purchased 2 Humanscale dual arm…

I purchased 2 Humanscale dual arm monitor stands from The Office Crowd in August last year. When they arrived one was missing the clamp screws so was unable to be bolted to the desk. I contact them and was asked to send a picture identifying the missing part. I did this and was promised that replacements would be sent out immediately. This never happened, and despite 3 email chases I have had no response nor have the parts arrived. Please think twice before using this company as, if you have a problem, it will not get resolved!

Genuine enough company, a bit over extended. Quick refund

My experience with the company is a bit mixed, but I don't think there is a fundamental problem with them, they just seem a bit overextended to be honest. I ordered an office chair and asked for it to be delivered after a certain date as we were going to be away. The date we would return was three after the order so there was plenty of time for the chair to be renovated and scheduled for delivery in the week we were back. I received and email two weeks after my order saying they were getting the chair ready. Then I heard nothing. I was unable to get through on the telephone despite leaving messages. I emailed and eventually heard back after chasing twice. It was now over a month since the original order. I really needed the chair as I was having back problems. I requested that my Office Crowd order was cancelled and that a refund was processed. They told me the chair was going out that week, but I told them it was too late and I needed to get on with it. Whilst waiting I sourced a different supplier who took my order and delivered the chair four days later. To be fair to The Office Crowd, they processed my refund within two days and I have been notified by PayPal that the refund will be with me in a couple of days.
I am sorry that it didn't work out with this company as I really like the idea of refurbishing office equipment which often ends up being discarded. I think they are genuine enough, and I have no complaints about the way they handled the refund, I just wish the communication had been better through the order and delivery process. I do not get the impression they are dishonest in any way, just perhaps not as efficient as they would like to be. I wish them luck in resolving those issues as it is a great idea for a business.

Top Comms, Early Delivery, Nice Solid Chair... Quickly Replaced 👍🏽

Thankfully avoided the extreme long wait times and ghosting experienced by others.

Received today with excitement!

Saxen scoop chair, pretty nice and solid.

However the chair was extremely noisy, any sort of movement made the back click and clack. No good!

Aside from my own tinkering (!), I reached out for a solution, was offered advice quickly. The problem was isolated and maybe something I couldn't fix myself. A replacement was offered quickly and without question.

I've been really impressed with the level of service.

Wow. Avoid at all costs.

Wow. What an absolute horror of an experience with this company. No communication on when to expect a delivery, no instructions, sent the wrong bolts and tried to argue they were correct and no accountability taken at all. Don't order from this company unless you want a whole lot of stress and headaches.

RH Logic: 400

I bought a RH Logic: 400 High Back Office Chair which is claimed to be refurbished to the highest standard. It's not, as the main lift ram does not work, you have to stand up, put your foot on the base and pull hard to get it to go up. It needs replacing, and if it had been checked/refurbished it would have been obvious. I will do it myself because their customer service is pretty crap, you do finally get answers if you persist, which I needed to, to try and get an answer re delivery date. It took over a month, which support seemed clueless about, as they said the day before they were waiting for a new headrest and it turned up the day after, so I think they just say any old crap on the chat.

STILL NOT RECEIVED MY CHAIR

I ordered a chair on the 16th Jan 26, still not received it 10th March, I had an email from them at the very start to say that there was a bit of a delay but it will be shipped next week. Since then they won't even reply to my emails. This is the 8th week and I'm not really sure where to go from here.

Give Them a Fair Whack Guys...........But Be Patient!

Please don't listen to the comments about this company being scammers, they're not. What they are is a small team that have been overwhelmed with lots of orders.
After 7 working days and reading the comments here I reached out just to see what the situation was, I got a pleasant email out of hours to tell me they will check first thing in the morning, only to find I got my chair the next day!
In the day and age of Amazon we have come to expect everything straight away but you just need to be a little patient here...it will be worth it!

Delivery: was fast from the point of tracking I.e. next day from warehouse by PDP. They send you an email when the item has been collected from warehouse and delivery estimate information.

Packaging: Well packaged in a sturdy box and bagged up.

The Chair: The chair I got was in great condition no real signs of heavy use.

Refurbished? Now this is my only mark down, when I removed the bagging from around it there was quite a musty smell. Under the chair seat pad there was signs of dust upon old oil, but this is not a big issue to me. A bit of Febreze and a wipe down did the trick.

The website: Is fantastic and professionally made but the tracking of the chair doesn't seem to work. It still says Status: unfulfilled.

Customer service: I got my email replied to pretty quicky and had a friendly reply.

Overall, if you wait a little, you get the product you see on the Web page. If you can't wait or are in a rush, go to Amazon, and have fun returning cheap Chinese dropship chairs where the cushioning goes flat two weeks later.

Advice: If you are coming towards the end of the 14 (working days) reach out with a friendly email.

Absolute trash

Absolute trash. Sent me a broken chair and smashed office drawers. Then started ignoring my emails. Garbage, garbage company with zero care about customers.

Poor quality

Chairs arrived after two week. New upholstery was not fitted very well with rucks and gaps. I asked them how to remove the back rest plastic cover so we could re-glue the fabric. No reply to date. Won't be using them again.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

I made the order (TOC-12434) on the 21.01.2026 today is the 25.02.2026 and is not any sighn of the order to be shiped.
I wish I read the reviews before purchase. Likely I [paid by credit card then I will have my money back guaranteed.
Rang them a few time still promissing and complains about their labours.
I will avoid them in the future!!!

I really wanted to like this company

I really wanted to like this company. Completely agree with their sustainability principles. Unfortunately, my chair never showed up. I chased repeatedly whilst it was on order but got no response. Eventually I just requested a refund and they then did respond to say it was due to delays with the paint.

They take your money and don't deliver anything

I ordered a chair on Black Friday they said they were busy and the lead time would be longer. Fair enough. Then I chased up and they said they hoped it would be soon. Then they closed for Christmas for a fortnight. Then they told me they were waiting for spare parts; for a chair? That they'd had on order for months? I eventually asked for a refund and was told it would take up to 10 working days after it was processed. I'm sure it will come as no surprise to you to find that it didn't arrive and they just ignored my final email. I now have my money back after going through my bank. Don't order from them. They fit my definition of scammers.

TIME CONTSTRAINTS? DON'T BUY FROM THEM!

[UPDATE2] My refund was successfully processed, so at least there's that.

[UPDATE] BAD/SCARY REFUND EXPERIENCE

They told me that they were awaiting a shipment for core parts of the chair I ordered and were not sure when it would arrive, and offered other chairs instead. Why make the chair available to purchase in the website then? Other chairs are tagged as sold out.

I was not interested in the alternatives so I opted for a refund. They told me "Once the refund is set, please allow up to 10 working days for it to return to the payment method." I verified with them that I will get a notification of when the refund is "set", and will need to wait 10 days after that to get my money back.

It has been more than a week since that exchange and I haven't gotten any such notification. I followed up today and thankfully got a response - at least someone is still watching the mailbox - but it was just "I am hoping it will be processed today".

As of now, I am still scared that I will not get my money back given how they have been moving.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM IF YOU HAVE SOME TIME CONSTRAINTS. I wish I saw the trustpilot ratings before I placed an order because the experience so far has been unpleasant. They say on their website to expect delivery within 7-14 days, but this was not upheld. Communication is very poor. Aside from an initial email saying "we are a very small team experiencing delays", they've been quite silent. Even after multiple follow-ups, they do not even have the consideration to give a simple update on when I could expect my order to arrive. I can't believe I would need to write a review just in the hopes of getting an update for when I could receive my order. Now I am more worried given other reviews indicating trouble even getting a refund.

All sorted now

I’m writing this in hopes of getting a clear status update on my order (TOC-12449). I received the Giroflex chair, which is in excellent refurbished condition (5/5 for quality), but the Workstories Solo Electric Desk is still missing.

The system marked the entire order as "sent" on Feb 2nd, but the 10-business-day delivery window has passed and I haven't received tracking or an ETA for the desk. Support on the phone was unable to provide any details.

I would really like to keep the desk and update this to a 5-star review, but I need a confirmed shipping date and tracking number to coordinate the delivery to my flat. Can someone from the management team please look into this?

I got the desk yesterday, assmebeled it , and it's working and in a very good condition!

Truly dreadful service, they don't give a hoot

Truly dreadful service. Ordered chair in early December. 4 weeks later they still don't know when it will be possible to ship it. They kept saying they'd call me back or email me and never did. Now waiting for a refund for over two weeks, they still don't know when it will be possible to return my money! They do not give a hoot about customers. Do not give them your business you will regret it.
