What a fiasco this was! I saw an ad for this company on Facebook and was interested in getting a gift for someone. I know better than to click on an ad in Facebook so I went online and checked out their website. Looked fine but to be sure, I went into Trustpilot. Saw that they were legit and in New York and they had decent ratings, so I placed my order on January 19. On 1/25/25 I received an email from Elaine M who is supposed to be the founder and CEO of the company stating that my item had just passed quality control and was ready. The email also stated that tracking information would be available on 1/27/25 and the item should be received by 2/13/25. On 2/3/25 I emailed Elaine to find out why I hadn’t received a tracking number. On 2/4/25 I received a response from Jennifer stating that due to the Lunar New Year production had ceased and would start up again on 2/6/25! Now the light goes on in my head as I realize this is not made in NY but in China! So I wrote and copied and pasted Elaine’s letter that stated it was ready. To her credit, she did answer every time I contacted her where Elaine did not!! Finally on 2/18/25 I received an email stating the item was in transit! A month later!!! Finally, on 3/325 it arrived to my friend!! I’m told by my friend that it’s a nice book bag and well made and for that I’m grateful. But I don’t like being lied to and I don’t think it was right for the owner to lie and deceive as she did and then when she gets caught, have someone else be the fall guy!! For those reasons I will never do business with this company again!

I received my bag today. Was shipped in a plastic bag not the gift box I was expecting. Quite disappointed I would not order another one. I understood I was buying a bespoke item that was created in USA. Very disappointed to see it was made in China. I don't think the bag is worth the amount of money I paid. Feels very tinny.

Bad service.
My partner ordered me a bag for Christmas in December. It's now nearly halfway through February, and all the JCW tracking has said since December 14th is that they're awaiting the item from the company, and all the tracking on The Note Bags website has said since December 20th is that the order was ready.
When my partner reached out to the customer email, all he was told is that the package had left the warehouse, and it was out of their hands.
I'm extremely disappointed by this, as I'd been dreaming of having one of these bags for years, so my partner got me one to try and make my first Christmas since my mother passed a bit more magical for me. Do better.

Scam - Did not receive item - Failed to refund
Scam, did not receive item. Ordered well over 2 months ago in November and it was meant to be a Christmas present and was very disappointed it didn't arrive as was the person it was supposed to be a gift for. Complained but they just said to ask the post office about it and haven't issued a refund. I received an email from they requesting a review which is crazy considering I received nothing but they said that those who do leave a review get $10 so reviews seem likely to be fake since they're bribing people!

Great product and great company
My wife loves her custom bag that I got her from you. The quality seems to be good, we just barely received it about a couple of weeks ago. I will say that it took a bit longer than expected to get to us from the date we ordered the bag. I believe it was an additional 10 days outside the maximum number of days the website calculates. But aside from that, everything is great so far.
