Game changer
Very professional, easy to book, affordable & extremely helpful & kind therapist. Kerry is Probably the most supportive one I’ve ever had. Online therapy is new for me but it’s actually extremely convenient & practical & the presence online made me feel just as comfortable. Would highly recommend
Good counselling service
Had several sessions with one of their counsellors through my university. Sessions were indepth and thorough with some insightful advice offered. This was my first time seeking counselling and helped me break down the stigma of the situation. I'd highly reccomend these services.
Great counselling and very convenient: Ideal for my time at University
I used The Mind Map during my time at University as it was recommended to me by a member of the student support staff. I am someone who responds well to counselling and the services The Mind Map provided we're definitely helpful. I expected the service to be not as good as when in person but Gemma was able to bring a sense of warmth and compassion to the session I didn't think would be possible over video chat.
Gemma listened very well and I felt she understood me completely with my troubles and any time more explanation was needed I had no issues because I felt so comfortable speaking to her. We had things in common which made things better and we could make lighthearted jokes about our interests which really gave a good sense of talking to someone like a friend. She has made me think in newer and more positive ways I wouldn't have done before which I find very helpful. I would highly recommend the service to all my friends and actively promote it to them also. The convenience and easy access the service made it very useful to fit into my busy schedule at University.
I have experience with long waiting lists and to have a service that doesn't have this is very refreshing. This is certainly a good method for busy University students like myself and should be used as the stress University can bring is a common issue on top of the personal issues we all face.
I got into a very bad place before…
I got into a very bad place before Christmas and with the waiting times on offer through the university counselling my academic advisor pointed me in the direction of The Mind map. To start with I was sceptical, what would it be like to share my experiences with a complete stranger over a video call but I cannot fault their service. Gemma was amazing, so accommodating and genuinely helped me so much to understand what was going on in my life and how better to deal with it. The ease of booking online was astounding and working a healthcare based university course it made it so easy. I owe the mind map so much and have pointed over people I know In their direction for a little bit of guidance. I cannot thank Gemma and the rest of the team enough!
A brilliant service, easy to use and with informed and approachable counsellors!
I've used The Mind Map for counselling sessions during a difficult time and found it so helpful. I’ve used various services before and can honestly say that my counselling session with Gemma was the best I’ve had. I developed an instant connection to Gemma as we had a lot in common. She listened amazingly and helped me untangle some of the thoughts I was having at that time. I found booking an appointment really easy and the whole process was so efficient. I genuinely believe that having young and informed counsellors puts The Mind Map on a different playing field to other services. I have friends who have also used the service and have nothing but praise for it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Mind Map to anybody. It truly is an invaluable resource. I have first-hand experienced the long waiting lists for counselling, both at the University and various NHS services. Having such quick access to counsellors through The Mind Map gives a sense of hope that there are people you can talk to without waiting three months. Students need support services and its places like The Mind Map that we will time and time again turn to for these. Thank you so much
