Outdated and no support whatsoever

Juli 2025 I bought a theme from ThemeGoods through Themeforest/Envato.
The theme was updated in Juni 2025. So that seemed okay.

But the bundled Elementor and Layerslider versions were outdated. A newer version of the bundled version of Layerslider was released in 2021 !

Made several support request through the comment section of Themeforest and the support ticket system of ThemeGoods. After 5 months and repeated requests no response from ThemeGoods.

At this moment I am in contact with Themeforest/Envato making them address ThemeGoods for the outdated plugin and lack of support

Can't Use Demo Import - Exits Customers on Mobile

When you import a Theme "Demo" you expect to be able to use it. You but Can't completely with this theme. Their tutorials are basic - if you are already familiar with Elementor their tutorials won't help.

All the "mega menu" portfolios and galleries they show you have to build yourself - you cant' just update and add pages / menu items or images.

When importing a theme you expect to be able to change and upload your own images, add tags, and URL's. - you can to an extent. It took me a bit of fiddling to get it to work - as I needed it.

Let's talk mobile - When using the Themes embedded Modulo Lightbox to upload images in their galleries - entering an external URL in the purchase field. Now - on a desktop or mobile device - I open my home page - click on a photo - it opens to purchase - hit the back button and it exits my site - now I no longer have a customer lingering on my site - instead they are off my site and moving on to something else on someone elses site. The key to business - keep the customer on your site - can't do that when the lightbox automatically exits them off a site. When I submitted the ticket - they pushed me to "hire" someone that is sponsored on their website to see if they could "fix" it.

I wish I could upload it here...I got 2 codes to work using ChatGpt one for mobile and one for desktop. It place holds so it goes back to the image. Ask AI to put a placeholder go back on Modulo Lightbox. May have to fiddle with it a few times for AI to get it right. I used code snippet plugin..free version.

Waste of money

I recently purchased the Grand Photography theme created by the author Themegoods for my WordPress website, and unfortunately, I am deeply disappointed with both the theme and the author's behavior. I feel compelled to share my experience to help others make an informed decision before investing in this theme.

From the outset, I encountered numerous issues and limitations with the Grand Photography theme. The promised features and functionalities were either non-existent or poorly implemented. Customization options were limited, and the overall design felt outdated and uninspiring. It was a far cry from the sleek and modern appearance showcased in the theme's demo.

What frustrated me even more was the lack of support and engagement from the author, Themegoods. I reached out to them multiple times, seeking a refund. However, instead of receiving helpful and constructive responses, my comments were unceremoniously deleted by the author. This behavior is highly unprofessional and disrespectful towards customers who have invested their hard-earned money into their product.

Moreover, it is evident that Themegoods selectively deletes comments that they do not like or those that point out the flaws and issues with the theme. This heavy-handed approach to managing feedback is both concerning and indicative of a lack of commitment to improving their product.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against purchasing the Grand Photography theme by Themegoods. The theme itself lacks the quality, features, and support necessary for a seamless and professional website experience. Furthermore, the author's questionable approach to customer feedback raises serious doubts about their integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Please think twice before considering the Grand Photography theme. Your website and your sanity deserve better.

If the author stands behind his product they should immediately proceed with the refund

Support was great!

I used the Musico theme from ThemeGoods and was blown away! Love the design and functionality. I also love using Elementor so I like that this was already integrated. When I drafted my website, the purchase code registered it to the dummy URL so once I set it live, it ended up stripping a lot of functionality away. I quickly submitted a ticket with ThemeGoods at themegoods.ticksy.com and got a response 17 hours later. Definitely appreciate the quickness and urgency to this matter. Peter from ThemeGoods responded professionally and told me how to create a portal to unregister the purchase code. That way I can do this myself if I ever moved domains or websites. I don't understand all the negative reviews on here. I can understand that you won't get support if it expired. That's the whole reason why you have the option to purchase the additional support. Keep up the good work and professionalism. I'm looking forward to seeing more great content from you guys!

Horrible & deceptive support

Horrible & deceptive support for WP "premium" themes that are bugged and way less customizable than other themes at the same price.

This theme author is also really aggressive and threatened me until I removed my rating on the theme forest website.

Rip off

So I bought the theme last year but didn't use it until today. I wanted to submit a ticket for a question but was denied. I was told to buy a new license. Never again!

Horrible Custom Support

I submitted a support request and literally got zero help for an entire week. The template I bought from them seemed to be missing a few pages. Asked again and again for help, it was so bad that I finally gave them a 1 star review and bam then they started replying. But their comment to me was they were not going to help me because I gave them a bad review. I told them do your job and what I paid for in the 6 months of support and you wouldn't get a bad review.

I returned my template and bought it from someone else. I would never buy anything from ThemeGoods again. I missed my deadline because of them.....HORRIBLE COMPANY

Bought themes for two websites

Bought themes for two websites - major bugs and flaws within those themes. Opened around 4 tickets - never got a response, despite the fact that i paid for the support for both of the themes. Pease do yourself a favor and search for an alternative theme developer cause this one is one of the worst I ever experienced.

Misleading product

Think you can buy this theme and use it forever? There’s a catch.

They have orchestrated ongoing revenue by misleading users to pay a $41 ‘support fee’ every 6months to get their own theme glitches fixed. You complain about how unfair it is? you’ll be on their ignore list and they will not respond to your comments. You complain on the comments? they will remove it so no pre-buyers can read it.

1 of many glitches they roll out. They have a jquery error when you click preview in slider revolution, Godaddy confirmed themegoods need to fix their theme as it does not occur with any other theme. KC from slider revolution also confirmed that they can’t help as revolution slider in the Themegoods theme is not a full license. As the plugin works with other themes I would have to buy a separate SR license to get them to investigate it. But KC gave me heads-up to ask themegoods to fix it as it’s a theme error.

Surprisingly Themegoods feel I am a nuisance for raising awareness to such a scam. They are trying to reprimand me by deleting all comments I posted explaining the error. If they have not deleted them completely you can see my comments as ‘comment under review’ which have been ignored for the last month while other comments are answered (because they have active support subscription).

Once your support runs, out naturally you will question whether you need to pay customization support to use the theme, however if you chose not to, they will push you into buying the support by putting you on the shelf if you raise any issues to them about glitches that need fixing. I am writing this review after using the theme for 4 years and had support for nearly two years.

Envato offered to refund or pay for support, but this is outright exploitation and a matter of principle.

I won’t be surprised if the developer replied to this review with ‘13,000 happy users’, its nonsense because they control what comments you read. In fact they are quite unprofessional so I expect them to not respond.

Be fair themegoods & you will not have unhappy customers. fix the jquery and stop rolling out what appears to be purposely built glitches just users with expired support to renew it again. funny enough you have no control over these comments on Trust piot which is why you have nearly 90% negative reviews.

Kind Regards

Recently I posted poor review of…

Recently I posted poor review of ThemeGoods Photography theme. I made this review in error as a result of my NOT understanding some WEB fundamentals. Frustrations of a beginner I suppose.

Now, having received daily support from the developer; I see that the Theme is well constructed and offers everything I need to set up my commercial Photography site.

The Lightbox capability is quite important as it allows landscape and portrait images to be displayed with the important option of captions being made visible.

I cannot emphasize that relatively prompt support is VERY important to a novice developer or it is easy to waste a lot of time and get frustrated.

Dotlife theme review by ThemeGoods

Dotlife theme review by ThemeGoods
Do not get this theme if you are planning on using LearnPress or Learndash.
This theme looked good and with all "5 star reviews" on themeforest we thought we would give it a try. Never before had we struggled so much with doing basic customizations to a theme. After several days of struggling to remove the stock elements (backgrounds etc.) the issues we faced were incredibly frustrating and a result of poor coding.
Then we started to integrate LearnPress and had major stability issues causing our entire wordpress site to crash.
We contacted ThemeGoods requesting a refund and they simply decided to ignore us. There is a reason they don't offer a refund. And come to find out envato removes unfavorable reviews, there were 2 negative ones for this theme the same day we wrote ours and the next day all of them were gone! Hopefully people considering purchasing a theme with this company will see other reviews outside of themeforest.

STAY AWAY OR BRACE YOURSELF

Where do I start: I was so excited having found such a slick template that was very promising visually; and topped with 6months support; pha (yeah right)!
I have tried many templates & this is no difference in the below-basic support that is not helpful, dragging, slow (I am not talking days but months- clearly stretching to 6 months for a reason), not on the point. Resulting I had to actually pay a developer to fix the issues.
To be honest, all templates or most developers are the sam - promises promises promises.

The user guide is below-basic and is more of a summary of what is included then how to resolve/ install elements. The support expects you to have developer knowledge (imagine Google-support > so it is this kind of thing > links and more links)

So brace yourself to get learning yourself and use a developer for the support not #Themegoods support which is a total waste of time.

Good luck
