I received my meatstick for my birthday in 2024 and it doesn't work anymore. Now it turns out that it was already in the store in 2022, so it is no longer under warranty. And yet they want to give a discount on a new stick; very bad. I would therefore not recommend it; it breaks easily and they don't know what goodwill is there.
This is my second Meat Stick. I literally wore out my first. Very dependable, accurate and I wouldn’t BBQ without out it. Almost perfect meals except when I don’t pay attention. Even the price is great.

It says my order was delivered on March 4 th and I still have not received it as of the 19th. A replacement as supposedly been shipped but have not received it yet either.

I bought a couple of their sticks, one never worked, failed mid cook. Months later they are still refusing to replace it. I have sent pictures, cleaned it over and over, and they continue to gaslight me even though they said it was covered they refuse to replace it. I have 20 emails, pictures and a whole lot of stupid hoops they get me to jump through. Over and over. Nasty people to deal with plus a lousy product.

I had a stick that was not working and their online support gave me additional troubleshooting steps to remedy. After trying the steps, a replacement under warranty was provided. Meat stick stands behind their product. Well done!

Wow!! Definitely deserves a 5 star rating in the cook alone! I recorded almost 500° temps over open flame and it didn’t falter! Meatstick as a company has been amazing to deal with!! The only slight knock was it took a bit longer to connect to my IPhone, but following their troubleshooting, I realized it was my error…so that said the meatstick V is most definitely earning its spot as my go to wireless!!

Simple to use and prompts from the app help. Have used in oven and on grill with several types of protein and all turned out great. The extender works well allowing me to do things elsewhere while the meat is cooking.

Stay away from this piece of junk!
I bought a MeatStick 4X on sale, thinking I was getting a good deal; ended up wasting my money.
The probe was finicky and uncooperative from the beginning. Would not connect, would not be found by the app, would drop the connection--sometimes silently!--while in use. Sometimes I couldn't even get started, sometimes I had to resort to another thermometer; I nearly destroyed some fine (and not cheap) pieces of meat. Absolutely unreliable. The few times that I managed to use it, the base was literally taped to the handle of the oven door, which was the only distance it had a chance of working without dropping the connection too often or too long. Aboslutely useless with the barbecue with the lid on, drops the connection even from 25-30 cm away.
The app has an impressive main screen, but the functionality is poorly designed and buggy. Instructions are inconsistent. Messages and warnings may or may not be true, and the connection to the probe may or may not be active. It even misidentified my probe several times and thought I had the five-sensor model...
Customer service are very responsive and very forthcoming with all sorts of excuses; they excel at blaming everything other than the device they sell. They are quick to blame the problems on the phone, the OS, bluetooth, distance, whatever.
After a while (maybe 15 times I tried to use it, maybe 5 or 6 with at least some success) the probe just died. Completely unresponsive. After spending three sets of batteries to go through all the troubleshooting suggested by the web pages and then customer service, they decided that it was my fault because I rinsed it while "too warm" and thereby destroyed it. Specifically, I used 25-degree water on a 60-degree probe (according to the recorded temperature chart, which I have no reason to doubt). A device meant to work in the oven, "dishwasher safe" with "dual-shell high durability" (I am copying from the box) will not withstand a temperature difference of 35 degrees centigrade because it will crack. Go figure.
As noted above, you are well advised to stay away!
Happy to have a second probe. This one more advanced than the original.

Had a problem with the meatstick. Tried to call them, this is when I found out they don't have a phone nu.ber to be able to talk to costumer service, not even an email address just a phone number to text them. They ask for me to explain the problem and to send them several pictures of the meatstick and of the charger. I did and the reply was they would give me a thirty percent off if I buy a new on and that was it. My meatstick was still under the one year warranty. Never worked that great anyway so no I would not recommend to anyone to buy this product

Very prompt response (less than 24 hrs) to analyze the product failure (Smart Base) and determine a course of action. Clear, reasonable, explanations were given with each point of contact. Warranty claim was approved and new product in my hands within less than 1 week. While it was obviously disappointing that the Smart Base failed, I doubt that any other company could, or would, react as quickly and efficiently as the MeatStick staff did in resolving my issue. They even replaced the MeatStick V probe I was using at the time of failure although it appeared to still be functioning normally. The staff, especially Jasmine, exhibited a commitment to customer care that is rare to find nowadays.
