No confidence

Went for consult for our German Shepherd to be booked in for sterilisation and enquired about Gastropexy. When I made appointment receptionist believed would be no problem. Locum at consultation went on about specialist service only would have to get Vet to call in 2 days.I called in the morning to remind her and was told that she would never heard from her and still haven’t.$99 later for consultation and I have no confidence in practice at all 😣 I needed a date asap to apply for holidays to be home with her which I did tell staff, and inform dog daycare.

Compassionate

Compassionate, caring, professional.
My cat Del boy had been at the vet on IV fluids for the day but the vets were shut for the night and he needed to continue treatment. After over an hour trying we contacted The Lighthouse and they were wonderful in a very stressful situation.
Unfortunately it seemed that the diagnosis was a lot worse than we had initially thought and I had to make a very difficult decision.
The compassion and care was outstanding. I was given as much time as I needed before and after to have cuddles and never once felt rushed. Even though 3 other emergencies came in I had the company of Miguel throughout. His calm and understanding demeanor was exceptional.

Friendly, professional emergency vet service at an affordable price.

We were woken during the night by our elderly Cocker Spaniel who was clearly in a lot of pain and needed to see a vet immediately; leaving him until normal opening times for practices wasn't acceptable. We phoned The Lighthouse, were told to come over straight away (this was at 5am) and, saw Cameron who examined our dog and provided emergency treatment including pain killers. We were told what to expect over the next few hours and, because we live locally, allowed to take him home with instructions to return immediately if his condition deteriorated. Because he has complex health conditions we opted to take him to our usual vet as soon as they were open and continued treatment there. He is now thankfully recovered but without The Lighthouse and Cameron it is very likely we would have lost him. Everything was very professional and friendly and, for an emergency appointment at 5am I would say the fees are extremely reasonable. In a future emergency I would have no hesitation about going to The Lighthouse.

Brilliant staff

It was traumatic when my beloved cockapoo suffered a seizure. With the help of a neighbour we got her to The Lighthouse Vets very quickly but she couldn't be saved. I cannot compliment the staff there enough. They made one of the worst days of my life a little more bearable

Lighthouse Vets

The Vet, Veterinary Nurse and the Cleaner were so understanding and lovely. It was a traumatic experience for us but they were calm and empathetic.
I could not have wished for a better end for my angel.

I rang the lighthouse due to be…my dog being very unwell

I rang the lighthouse due to be concerned about my dog , they had him in straight away , kept him there for the day and did all tests necessary, unfortunately the outcome was a shock but the staff were so professional and explained options available that was best for my dog in detail , which helped me to understand, I cannot thank all staff enough, this was on a Sunday too , very caring and professional and I would highly recommend that anyone with a concern of there pet then definitely go to lighthouse.

Excellent and compassionate service

I will always bring my animals here if I ever have an emergency situation. I was referred here after my cat collapsed in the middle of the night after being at several other vets, they were able to accurately identify the problem and very quickly resolve. The staff are genuinely caring and compassionate to the animals and the communication to myself was excellent, I was kept in the loop at every stage of her progress and the staff were very patient, kind and clear. It gave me great peace of mind to know my animal was in safe and competent hands, cannot thank you guys enough
