I purchased a tray from their website with dimensions 60cm x 60cm. When the tray arrived I noticed that it is smaller than what I expected and that I was unable to fit my pot in it as the tray was too small.
I emailed The Grow Superstore immediately asking how to return the tray and that I wish to receive a refund to which I received a response that the tray is the correct size and that I am probably measuring the base which may be smaller.
There was no information how to return the tray, how to receive a refund, etc. in their response.
I was careful with the dimensions when I purchased this tray and I double checked the measurements. The tray measured 55cm x 55cm at the top and 51.5cm x 51.5 cm at the base.
I had to then email further with pictures and to threaten to take them to Trading Standards.
After that a refund was issued, but I never received a response to my email, I had no apology, etc.
Their website still says that the tray is 60cm x 60cm. If I have known the correct size of the tray I would have not purchased it in the first place.
I found it appalling that even after I emailed the first time around no one bothered to check the size of the tray and I just had cold response basically saying '' you are wrong and we are right''. No one acknowledged my request that I wish to return the tray and I would like full refund either.
No one apologised when I sent the pictures and they realised the error.
I would not purchase from them again. Their prices are low, but when there is an issue they don't seem to acknowledge and deal with the issue promptly.

Update: After leaving negative review I was contacted by someone via email to express their disappointment of the review that I left. I was also sent a picture with a comment that my measurements are wrong. The picture showed the outside measurement of the top lip. Again very unprofessional response especially after the review was posted the day after I tried to address the issue with them and I received a refund out of the blue with no comment or reply. I provided the company with pictures to show that the inside measurements are 55cm x 55cm at the top and 51.5cm x 51.5cm at the bottom to which I had no response up until the day when I posted the review and I got ''Your measurements are wrong''. If you think that your language is appropriate then so be it. If you think that keeping a free item is a win for me, in particular a large tray that I asked to return for a refund and my request was ignored and this tray is no use to me as it is too small for what I need it then you are entitled to your opinion that I got a great deal. My view is that you wasted my time and energy to prove something obvious as my pot with diameter 55cm doesn't fit in your tray that apparently measures 60cm by 60cm.
If you had accurate description of the size of the tray on your website I would have not purchased it in the first place.
The poor customer service is for not apologising, for the language that you used in your emails, for the lack of a name in your email signature when emailing me, for having to email multiple times for the refund, for the way you handled this in general.

This review is true and accurate representation of the situation.

Absolutely brilliant service every employee I spoke to were excellent and went out of the way to help my unusual request for a white hose to use as a connection to a retracting hose reel that would be camouflaged against a white wall!
