Love the relatable approach

Love the relatable approach. This is one excellent teacher that is very thorough! Very happy with my decision to join. I am learning a lot fast and breaking out of this rut I have been stuck in for years!

My piano playing, musical knowledge, and guitar playing have all improved through Gospel University.

I joined Gospel University to get better at piano, increased my understanding of harmony, and train my ears. All of that was accomplished during my time in the course. It was a bit advanced for me. I'm primarily a guitarist and I understood all of the harmony, but it took time for my piano technical skills to catch up. Luckily, there website and platform is organized and well laid out. It is easy to follow and figure out where you need to spend your time and what to focus on to improve. Vaughn and my coach Lorenzo were both awesome and great people to talk to. They were both super supportive and answered any questions I had during my time. If you want to improve your piano playing no matter your level this is a great place to be. I wish I had more time to do more of the coaching calls but was a bit busy with life as well as practicing my main instrument guitar for different gigs. My piano playing, musical knowledge, and guitar playing have all improved through Gospel University.

I started with Gospel University back…

I started with Gospel University back in May 2022. The program is intensive, but so thorough and organized. Vaughn truly makes your journey towards better keys playing attainable, tying in all the loose ends. The group calls and 1on1 training are very helpful. Even if you are a beginner, you will feel loved and accepted. Vaughn truly just wants to see us all shed LOL. This program is for committed musicians, and if you are, you will grow, that is a fact.

The Gospel University has grate content…

The Gospel University has grate content and continues to help me understanding theory and concepts. The Group calls are helpful as the issues I face and others are all addressed and feedback given from coaches that will improve your playing. In Gospel University if you stick with it and do the work, you will start seeing results. If you really want to understand how to learn songs and not just copy others, but understand what chords you can use for songs and understanding behind why, when and where you should use chords then I recommend The Gospel University, awesome, awesome awesome.

Great Experience

I've been having a great experience with Gospel University so far. The classes, assignments, and mentors within GU have greatly improved my piano playing in gospel music. I am now able to reharmonize and play with thicker voicings than I did before! Thanks Vaughn and team!

Is this school a scam?

Gospel University don't care anything about no one's time. I took time from my busy schedule for the consult call and without reason they cancelled twice. Who knows if they'll cancel classes without reason. Is this school a scam?

Before and after the Gospel University.

When I started TGU I had a classic and some jazz background. However, by being involved in this program I have learned that I can go beyond the classic, reharmonize and play the songs in a more beautiful and contemporary style.

What I love about this school..

What I love about this school... Is that they are not cookie cutter like most brick and mortar institutions I am presently in college as a music Major and what I find is college although awesome is putting out people that sounds like the professor whereas this school their professors take the time to let you find your own voice with that said this school the gospel University has become my secret weapon of sorts.. to being a unique voice in college as a music Major.. and I really think professor von and professor Christian and the entire team for taking the time to dissect my playing style and rebuild it into a reinvention that is coming on The cutting edge of what music is supposed to be in this day and age... For those who are on the fence I would tell you jump in and invest in yourself and your craft... After months of study you will begin to play like the professionals you hear on TV and if not I guarantee you can dissect them when you listen and know exactly what it is that they do.. no one will be a secret to you.. anyway that's my honest review kudos and keep up the good work

My involvement with Gospel University…

My involvement with Gospel University came about in a rather serendipitous way. While slacking off at work, I happened to browse through Facebook and stumbled upon an advertisement for Gospel University's online lessons. Living in Japan and not being fluent in English, I hesitated to join. However, I realized that opportunities to learn the sound of gospel in Japan were non-existent, and this might be a once-in-a-lifetime chance, so I decided to take the plunge. The first lesson started at 3 am due to the time difference, and I was skeptical about what kind of lesson would unfold, but Professor Vaughn's play was outstanding. I asked a lot of questions, over 200 in total, and all were answered very clearly.
Below, I highlight the excellent aspects of Gospel University:
Extremely Clear Chord Theory: Until now, I wondered why my piano solos didn’t sound as cool as the professionals', despite playing the same melody. Through these lessons, I learned how to add cool chords and the order in which to add them, which dramatically transformed my playing. I used to resign myself to thinking that the quality of performance was a matter of talent, but I was enlightened to realize that it's not about talent. The chord theory is very systematic, and once you understand the mechanism, anyone can do it.
Creating Everything on Your Own, Not Just Imitating Performances: This overlaps with the previous point, but understanding the theory of chord placement allows you to create everything on your own. You can also analyze videos on YouTube and others.
I have gained a lot of confidence in playing the piano. There are many other benefits, such as the theory of rhythm, relative pitch, and practice methods, which are too numerous to list here.

I had no understanding behind the chords that i was playing until I joined the GOSPEL UNIVERSITY where I've learned everything that I was skipping thanks to the founder and coaching staff!
