I've always had great service from the garden shop except for the last order i was sent the wrong item and refunded half the cost. This was not ideal as i did not need the item sent to me i needed the item i ordered. To sum up i had to pay half price for something i did not need and i still required the original item i ordered. I feel like i've been conned....

Great website and service I bought trellises that were a very good price and are sturdy too for my garden

I loved the lemon tree that I bought and it is doing great in its new pot - it arrived well packaged but you should have used a different courier as it took almost week to get to me and the plant was very dry by the time
It arrived. The courier said they’d tried to deliver but they never did as someone was at home all the time.

Whilst the courier was slow, the quality of the products received was excellent. I will be ordering again.

Bought modular garden planters for my elderly dad they arrived within 3 days . He loves them so easy to assemble ! Looking to get more we will be ordering again soon

Great service, with very fast delivery

I like many of their products and prices, just a shame I can't get hold of them.
I have now tried to order 4 times online and 3 of the orders have been declined when processing the payment details (card details) online without giving any reason. They have once called me back to take payment over the phone. When asked why the order was declined, they claimed it was a fraud prevention measure. I must admit I fail to see how paying over the phone is more secure - in terms of payment details and fraud prevention - than paying via the internet using a https connection.
Very odd way of doing www-trade and a waste of time compiling a shopping list.
Many of their items are out of stock, but at least they make it clear at the time of shopping. However, doesn't make it easier to make the €75 order for free delivery.

I have bought a couple of things from thegardenshop.ie now. Price is always competitive. Delivery is surprisingly quick. There was a minor issue on the last delivery (ordered just ahead of a bank holiday). I followed up via the link on the order - and it was resolved promptly with no fuss.
When I know what I want, its definitely better to go the gardenshop rather than drive to any of the garden centres nearby.

Before ordering a greenhouse I first checked that stock is available and was assured 2-3 week delivery. Chased after 6 weeks to be told sorry we forgot to place order. Delivery now 6months+. Unreliable. Refund awaited.

I left a really bad review for this business a few weeks ago. The bad review was deserved. However, to my surprise, after I thought we had finished with each other forever, the owner sent me a €50 gift voucher and an apology. I’m not sure what brought about this change of heart, and I needed to think about whether I wanted to interact with this business again. That they seem to be promoting a new eco business swayed it for me, and I spent €75 in their shop. This time it worked out well, though Fastway seems to be let them down a lot (in my experience), as the delivery came over two days. As I was fast to review a terrible experience I think it fair to follow up that they eventually made good.

The plants are in great condition, healthy, bigger than expected. Delivery very fast.

Have ordered from The Garden Shop a few times over the last two years but my two recent orders both had issues- one order was delivered to the completely wrong house and blocked up a farm entrance (it was a large and heavy order delivered by a truck). The cocooning elderly person living there had to come over to tell us, we are also cocooning. Not great. This was despite the Eircode being provided and a house description, had to call the courier to persuade him to come back to move it. The order had damaged items also due to poor packing- pots left loosely on top. Gave them another chance since I had previously good experience with them. Next order was missing another item and the replacement for the previous damaged items were the wrong size. I have requested a refund now for these and will not be ordering again. Very disappointing.

This is my second year buying from the garden shop.ie. My order arrived promptly and was well packaged. Goods were perfect. I will definitely be ordering from them again and recommending them to my friends.
