Do not buy from this business!

Do not buy from this business!! total scam. ordered the personalised cashmere scarf in January 2025 and my money was taken straight away. received email confirming order. we are now almost 1 year later and have never received goods or a refund. impossible to talk to anyone as phone goes to voicemail everytime despite trying umpteen times on different days and times and numerous messages left. never had replies to any of my emails. Had to leave a score of 1 as minus is not an option
AVOID!!!!!

Well, I certainly wish I had read the reviews before ordering!

Well, I certainly wish I had read the reviews before ordering from them. It’s now over a month since I placed my order and nearly a month since I received part of my order, and even that was later than 1st advised. The received items I like, I have no idea about the outstanding item though as even after giving them opportunity 3 times, and therefore 3 promises that it would be despatched, it has never arrived. I shall now be requesting a refund. Feeling a bit trepidatious about that though given the overwhelming reviews I’ve just read. Contacting Notonthehighstreet may garner a more positive response though.

I bought a personalised Advent calendar…

I bought a personalised Advent calendar candles jar and absolutely love it.
When I had to call to ask for a question and advice the person I had a talk with was absolutely lovely and very helpful.
The Forest & Co is a lovely company full of lovely ideas - much recommended!

Buyer beware
They sent an email saying refunded
I have checked my bank every day and it hasn’t been refunded!!
They have sent me a box ( I had asked not to be contacted other than them to refund my £171.70) and in it was a letter that asked if I would accept a gift as an apology. I have not opened the ‘gift’ feels like a small box of candles. I have asked for a pre paid return slip as I am not prepared to pay the £5 to return it and my £171.70. My bank are looking into it and I will report to trading standards

I wouldn’t even give one star. Like others I realised too late that the company is scamming people. I paid £171. 70. The money was taken out of my account .. but no delivery. I tried to phone but the answer phone stated it wouldn’t take calls from my phone. By checking another website I found another number and left messages I also emailed the owner and other director. I then contacted my bank and they gave me a temporary refund and blocked this company . I rang the company and advised I was contacting trading standards and my bank was now dealing with it . I got a call back from the company .. promised they had refunded whilst I was on the phone .. she send a fussy picture of my original invoice !! And guess what, to date no refund ! I advised her by email not to contact me as the bank are dealing with it.

Amazing shop, good value for money and full of lovely things!!

This shop is full of lovely things. It was a real treat to discover it, the owner has a great eye for lovely items for both the house and your wardrobe. Hightly recommend visiting Totnes and popping into The Forest & Co, everything is really reasonably priced, it was a breath of fresh air to discover this shop. Since visiting i have been in touch with the owner to buy a couple of other bits and she has been nothing but helpful. Can’t wait to go back and see what is in stock next time!

Ordered two items from this terrible…

Ordered two items from this terrible and rude company via not on the high street. One item came but the second one didn’t.
I emailed them immediately as I thought it was odd one item came on its own and not the second.
They did not reply for over 4 days, and when they did they simply asked what was missing. I told them and have not heard nothing from them since.
I have emailed them every day asking for them to call me as it’s easier to talk then email, but they haven’t called or replied to any of my emails.
I have now contacted my bank, as that’s the only option I had left, as there was no phone number at all for not on the high street, well there was one but it was not active so must of been an old number.
I’m not holding out any hope from them now, and would recommend no one use them at all, as there was service is terrible, and they don’t care about their customers

Been waiting now for over 3-4 weeks for…

Been waiting now for over 3-4 weeks for an iron planter and no response to my e-mails or telephone calls ( line goes dead after a few rings). This mirrors exactly what other recent internet purchases have experienced. Now disputing through credit card. So wish I’d seen others comments before ordering from this company. Shouldn’t be trading. Please avoid.

I ordered a mirror on 25th July and at the time of ordering it did not state it was not in stock. Chased several times for an update on delivery and the delay was blamed on the supplier and the mirror being out of stock. 4 weeks passed and the order still hadn’t been shipped. Fed up of waiting i cancelled the order last Friday, I got a reply back to say they would get the courier to ship directly from the supplier which I refused and asked for my refund to be processed. I am still waiting and so will resort to a chargeback via my bank. Poor communication, multiple excuses, and 6 weeks later no mirror and no refund. Hassle I could do without. Support another small business but avoid this one.

I hate to leave negative reviews

I hate to leave negative reviews, but my experience has been dreadful. No response to several emails. Someone commented that the owner is 'kind' but not good at admin. I'm sorry but that doesn't cut it when you are taking people's money. I hope the owner can perhaps get some admin support and turn things around.

Do not order from this company!

Ordered 2 beautiful gin glasses for a birthday in March. One arrived nearly 3 weeks later and as of now - 04/07/25 - I'm still yet to received the additional glass.
After multiple messages to them they assured me repeatedly they would send it out but this has not transpired.
Communication has now ceased from them despite me trying to contact about just sending the glass or issuing a refund. Absolutely would never order anything from them again.

6 months & still awaiting refund…

I returned an item to the store as per their 14-day refund policy. The sales assistant informed me that
refunds are typically processed in cash but, due to a lack of cash on hand, took my bank account
details and assured me the refund would be made via bank transfer. Unfortunately, this has not
occurred. Despite visits, telephone calls and many emails .. I have received ZERO response and am still awaiting the due refund 6 months later. This situation is unacceptable. I now have no option but to resort to legal action...AVOID!

However, please be patient because she is someone who truly cares about her customers' satisfaction and she is kind. Also, her product is superb, so it's worth the wait. Excellent service, lovely clothing

Excellent! I found the cardigan/jacket that I loved online, and emailed to check I was buying the right colour. Elaine was so helpful, ordered my colour in especially and the order was sent out as soon as it arrived in stock (less than a week since ordering). Absolutely thrilled with my jacket and now I have my eye on the leopard print one… though my husband says no more 🙈🤣

Great gifts!

Beautifully made, good quality jewellery boxes, perfect for travelling. Good size but still small enough to hold a couple of weeks of jewellery. Easy to order and delivery good. I was so pleased I ordered another six for friends. Make great gifts.
