As in the above review, I,too, was duped into believing this was a hard copy of a book, with no other indications.

Scam and fraud. Been waiting since book was ordered 2/19/25 to receive. Finally investigated and see I am not the only one duped!

There is zero indication that this is a download. So you think you're buying a book but you're not actually buying a book. So I'm going to try and get my money back I haven't downloaded anything yet I've been waiting for this book to arrive and then I started reading reviews. So do not trust that you're receiving an actual book

If zero were a choice and I could still write a review this would be a 0. This so-called business is a cheating, lying fraudulent business. My experience is exactly the same as the dozens of unsatisfied cheated customers who have left reviews. A download code for an ebook was sent instead of a hard copy that I thought, by every description and claim, that I was purchasing. Responses to my requests for a refund have been waved off and refused.
Do NOT do business with this company. You will just lose your money.

Scam !!! advertise hard copies of books, send downloads

If I could give them a zero, I would. I purchased a hardback book from their website on January 21, 2025. It is February 1, 2025. I sent an email to them today to inquire about the shipping of my book. I received an email response that the link was emailed to me, and that the book was a downloaded item.

Prior to me ordering the book. I checked several sites. The sites that offered downloads, I skipped, as I wanted a hard book. I throughly read the site The Dom Chek prior to placing my order. The site stated that they only sold hard copy books. In fact, their FAQ notes that they do not offer ebooks. This company is a fraud. I plan to report them to the BBB. I hope others who experience the same issue will follow suit and report them to the BBB.

My loss wasn't very significant. I don't like being lied to, and I don't like thieves.

Companies that use deceptive practices and steal money from consumers need to be put out of business.

Have not received the book and my messages won’t go thru plus they don’t answer the phone.

I ordered a book that never came. I contacted the company and they said it’s digital and refuse to refund me. What a shitty business…..false advertising and ripping people off. I wish I had read the reviews before I made the purchase. I usually check reviews, but who’s trying to rip you off on a book order. Disgusting

Advertises as a book and is actually an ebook and won't give a refund. Disceptive

1 star because you can’t give less. These are e-books. They don’t advertise if that way and lead you to believe you are buying real books. Not even an e-book. Pirated pdf garbage. 100 percent scam.

They make it look like a print book, ask for address, then send a link to download. Refuse a refund.

No book, no response to email. Will go to credit card company.

Ordered a book and of course, as everyone else has mentioned, never received anything. I am going to go to my credit card and see if I can dispute the charge. I hate that people take advantage of other so easily.

Sucks for it to be so easy for people to rip others off. Ordered a book over a month ago. Never received. No responses to text, email, or messenger.

Update: with research, I discovered that this "business" sends links to pdf downloads of books. They finally replied after I sent texts and emails in 4 different ways saying it said so on their website. It doesn't. And I'm sure it's not legal. I told them they had been reported to the BBB for scamming.

Sold an "ebook". There was no mention of it being an ebook. Not only that, it isn't an ebook but a PDF file of the book that cannot be read with any ebook reader. A real scam. There needs to be real consequences for non refundable purchases that do not deliver what they promise.

Update: I ordered through PayPal, and once thedomchek started ignoring my daily emails for a refund, I made a dispute through PayPal. I did finally receive a full refund after the PayPal dispute. Still would NOT recommend this company in the slightest. I reached out to the author of the book I ordered and they are currently investigating thedomchek for potential copyright infringement of their book.

Ordered a physical copy of a book. Before ordering I specifically scoured their website making sure it was a physical copy and not an ebook. In their FAQ section it says “Do you sell Ebooks” and their response is “No only books” and another FAQ asks what kind of books they sell and their answer is “paperbacks”, and “hardbacks”. So I ordered the book and received a confirmation email and at the bottom was a “download” button. The download had a digital “copy” of the book, however it is not authentic. Graphics are messed up, fonts are messed up, there’s no page numbers. I definitely don’t see how this could be legal. Frankly it seems like copyright infringement. Not sure how they’re still in business. I plan to contact the author/publisher of the actual book to make sure they know that a company is reselling their book improperly, I think they’d could probably sue this company. Hopefully. Anyway I tried to initiate a refund and have been told that they cannot issue a refund because it is digital content, however that’s not what I ordered. Regardless, DO NOT BUY FROM THEDOMCHEK.COM.

I ordered a hard copy and when I didn't received it, I emailed them. They said it was digital but would not "resend" the link as I was told it was sent immediately after payment. SCAM.

I ordered a hard copy. Never received it. Contacted them one month later and was told it was digital. I did not order that!!
BEWARE OF THIS AWFUL COMPANY. SCAM!!!

Paid for book, did not receive

I ordered a book on August 4, 2024 and have not received it. I would give zero stars if possible. These people need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I have emailed them 4 times with no reply and the phone number has a message indicating you can only reach them through email.
