Really enjoy these mystery's - the detail is superb with just the right amount of head scratching to make it challenging (and the hints help!). Really looking forward to finishing the current episode... See more

We've played these before, but only the first two episodes of Claire's disappearance, so I brought all six
High quality products, great support for any issues and quick shipping
Detective Society: Murder on the Moon is an impressively crafted, narrative-driven mystery box that delivers a genuinely immersive detective experience.
The box includes a detailed 3D model of the moon base to build, three substantial chapters, and a rich set of crew profiles and evidence. The puzzles are varied, clever, and satisfyingly challenging, with excellent use of online elements such as videos, chatbots, and digital interactions that really help the story come alive. It feels thoughtfully designed and clearly made with care.
From start to finish, the experience took us around eight to nine hours to complete and was great fun throughout. However, this is very much a one-and-done game. Once the mystery is solved, there’s no real replay value—you know the answers, the twists, and how everything fits together.
That brings us to the price. At around £60, it does feel a little steep for a single-play experience of this length. When compared to a similarly priced video game, which often offers 60–70 hours of gameplay, the value proposition may give some people pause.
That said, if you enjoy immersive storytelling, tactile components, and cleverly integrated digital puzzles, Murder on the Moon is a memorable and well-executed experience. Just go in knowing that you’re paying for a premium, cinematic mystery rather than something you’ll return to again and again.
The packaging and gameplay and online interfaces are fantastic, however the game was a little too simplistic for us. I would have loved to see trickier puzzles, and to feel like we had to really work for the solution.
This would be a good intro to these type of games for kids.
Excellent products, promptly received and very well packaged - highly recommend

Just finished Murder on the Moon and I have now played all the games from The Detective Society. They are really great! Good stories with a lot of humor, great puzzles and a perfect balance of interactive elements and physical elements. Love all of their games!!!

Contacted company to check on delivery. They followed up and within 24 hours had confirmed delivery times. Product arrived in good condition 2 days later.
Always in for a good time with one of the detective society games. Done two of the 6 part series and really enjoyed the experience.
Took 2 weeks for item to arrive. I emailed to ask where my order was but I never received a response.

Slow to despatch and ponderous to contact. Real detectives have phones!
Great fun. Our second adventure with them. We are waiting for the third one to be delivered now
I'm so glad we found The Detective Society (recommended to us by our local escape room owner and puzzle aficionado). We bought "The Cursed Exhibition" as we wanted a serious challenge with puzzles that takes real detective work and deep thinking. We love the quality of each component, both the printed material and online resources. My personal favourite being the interactive element with emails/texts and phone calls to the characters in the game, it brings a really exciting, unique and immersive element to the game play and there's a real frisson of excitement after you've sent a message waiting for your character to reply!
Each chapter is so well thought out and requires different skills to solve (e.g not the same type of puzzles ad nauseum, weak online elements, pointless props- or outcomes that are completely illogical).
This is an extremely satisfying game and worth the money (I was initially concerned at the price but now having experienced it, it's DEFINITELY worth the money and great value for the hours of play time).
We feel the creators must be true fans of this genre and have lovingly created something unique, complex and thoroughly entertaining.
We are now officially Detective Society addicts and want to solve all their puzzles! (We've already bought our next one and intend to work our way through them all).
I will mention, as I've seen it on other recent reviews, that there was a 2 week wait on posting and I could have done with an initial update email (they had changed dispatchers and are a small business, not a big team) as it was our first time buying but, I just want to reassure anyone currently waiting for their game, this is a legitimate company and it's thoroughly worth waiting for. Once you get the game and play it, don't be concerned.
Only real detectives need apply to complete this game.
