Disappointed 😞
When cake arrived it looked fantastic but was disappointed that we had to wait 4 days after delivery as it was the closest date to my granddaughters birthday party, l was told cake would be ok cause of the frosting Round cake would keep it moist. When we cut it there was no cream barely any jam & moist a little bit & the frosting was too thick

As discussed during our phone conversation, I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed.
For clarity, our cakes do not contain fresh cream, and this is clearly outlined in our product descriptions. They are finished with buttercream, which is designed to seal the cake and maintain freshness over several days when stored correctly.
Regarding the filling, our jam is measured by weight to ensure the cake remains stable and travels safely. Jam is a moist filling, and using more than this would cause the layers to slide or the cake to fall apart. The amount used is intentional and balanced for both flavour and safe travel.
You also mentioned the cake being too sickly due to the buttercream, while also feeling there should have been more buttercream in the centre. These points are contradictory, and the cake was made exactly to our standard specification.
You further advised you were expecting an ice-cream cake. We do not sell or advertise ice-cream cakes on our website, so unfortunately this appears to have been your misunderstanding when ordering.
We understand your disappointment that your granddaughter’s birthday fell during our Christmas closure. We are open every other day of the year, however we do close briefly over Christmas to spend time with our family. The delivery date selected was the closest available operating day, and our availability was clearly visible at the time of ordering. Proceeding with a delivery several days prior to the event was a decision you made during checkout.
While we’re sorry the cake didn’t meet your expectations, it was supplied exactly as described. For this reason, we’re unable to offer further resolution.

Delicious! Breathed sigh of relief when it arrived.
The cake was tasty. Enjoyed by all with all different dietary requirements.
We ordered the following Green minecraft cake:
CAKE Size - 40 Serves | 7 Inch Diameter | 7–8 Inches Tall × 1
HAPPY BIRTHDAY plaque - HAPPY BIRTHDAY + NAME + SHAPE
We had 12 kids and about 5 adults, we had half a cake left to eat during the week which was great.
I would give this 5 stars because the cake was perfect, but only concern I had was that i ordered well in advance and a few days before the scheduled date of arrival I called The Cake People to check it was still to be delivered as planned, and was greeted by an automated voice mail. I left the reason for the call (please confirm you are on track to deliver by [scheduled date], and nobody called me back.
Thankfully the cake arrived as planned and I breathed a sigh of relief!

The Cake looked beautiful and tasted delicious. All our guests loved it. The only thing was the topper was a bit broken when I took it out of the cello. Even though I was very careful. It was easily fixed with a bit of sticky tape.
