I’ve been using the Ambitious Exec program for about four weeks now, and I think it’s an excellent resource for anyone looking to uncover hidden C-level opportunities. The program offers support across every stage of the journey, from optimizing your LinkedIn profile and resume to providing interview preparation and networking strategies.

I had the opportunity to work with Joe to prepare for an interview, and he provided insights and potential questions that I hadn’t even considered. His advice was incredibly valuable. Overall, it’s a great program, and I highly recommend it.

The program content and the team helped me to recalibrate my thinking in a couple of important ways. Searching for an executive role for the first time in over 20 years was new enough. I had observations and impressions of platforms like LinkedIn and features that caused me to discount the utility of them. Features like skill endorsements that seemed random and meaningless, even likes and other sentiments for posts didn't register as relevant. Personal branding can seem a little too self-promoting. Posting too frequently when one represents a large organization with many industry thought leaders can also be a concern. The program provides very simple practical steps to use these features in very specific ways that elevate the profile of an executive job seeker, but initially I skimmed over them in the training materials. It was when I began to discuss my personal value proposition that my advisor Natalia first asked some very thoughtful questions that helped me to realize that I needed a change of mindset to be able to take advantage of the features that I didn’t understand the purpose for. As I crafted my personal value proposition with the coaching team these things were further re-enforced and gave me the confidence to tailor the language to use and the steps for my first referral engine campaigns. I had not heard of the LinkedIn SSI score but as I began to do the steps outlined in the program I saw an immediate impact within the first couple of days, simply because I had not been that active previously. In only two weeks my score came up 15 points and the engagement on my profile has picked up and I am getting unsolicited outreach for timely topical conversations, networking, and possible consulting opportunities. The ultimate results are still to come but I can see that there are no insignificant steps or components in the program. They clearly have been well designed, tested and refined and they are working for me.

Sacha Mohan-Boodoo is an excellent accountability coach. She holds me accountable to the next steps that I create for myself. She shows up with a positive spirit that's uplifting and encouraging.

With the new resume and LinkedIn update I got a new role as a consultant with a path toward a fulltime position. I am actually doing the work and am in the position of creating my own job description, title and negotiation on salary, etc. Great experience with Ambitious Executives.

Very little support and once your year is up you lose access to all of the material. While I understand not having continued direct support to cut someone off from material after paying 10k+ is crazy.

I am currently at VP at Real Estate Investment and Development Firm in Denver and am seeking a COO position. I indicated this in the initial contact submission form which only asks for your name, email, phone number, the above information, and a realistic salary expectation. The submission information stated this is for individual who currently make greater than $150K annually and are at the Director, VP, or Executive Level. I completed the submission form to schedule a time to talk with a recruiter and immediately was routed to sign up for a webinar with free access to Whittaker's book and the statement read I did not have the qualifications to meet with a recruiter (in so many words). Not sure why since I did meet the qualifications; therefore I believe it to be a scam routing people to simply join the webinar and promote his book.

This program is a scam. The “training” is just a bunch of 10 min prerecorded videos, that is so outdated, it comes with a sheet that tells you what changed.

They don’t tell you upfront, but you get about 2hours of videos, and then you need to purchase 3party software, which is not included in the price, to do the rest.

The idea of the program is the same as you walking up to a stranger in the street and asking them for a job.

If you tell them that you are not having any luck with their “program”, they just tell you to attend the group sessions where they discuss how to use the software.

Don’t waist your money!!!

The Ambitious Exec program does work! The tools and methods taught to help you market yourself and network within your target industry are invaluable. I didn't have the time to use trial and error methods in expanding my network, and reaching decision makers. You only get once shot at making a good impression. I would recommend.

Overpriced and not what is promised. They claim to be “executive” level only but then take anyone that would pay.

The service is subpar and they didn’t deliver the feedback in a timely manner.

Save yourself the time and money

I had the privilege of working with Jay Guyton at Ambitious Executive, and they are the best in the business! They were so many things-my coach, my consultant, and my not-afraid to give me a gentle nudge in the direction I needed to go. But most of all they are an excellent listener and teacher. The Ambitious Exec team caters their support based on each person's need and situation. In addition, many of the sessions include peers who give their helpful suggestions too so you are getting guidance and ideas both from the Ambitious Exec team as well as other execs who are going through a lot of the same things you are.

I had questions coming into The Ambitious Exec. I was skeptical and in a space of really needing guidance on the job market. The Ambitious Exec has exceeded all of my expectations. If you have any question, that's great, take your questions and take the leap of faith and use this program! It is comprehensive, inclusive, it will keep you busy and focused on the end goal. Every step of the process you will learn something new and it will 'just make sense.' They really have put the time and effort into dissecting the very obscure and ambiguous job market. It's been broken down and processed in a way that allows me to have 'wins' every day. I have no hesitation referring this program to anyone looking to get hired into an executive position.

The program is terrific if you are willing to put the work in. This is a step-by-step program you learn, apply, and execute, so don't expect something where you magically get interviews. The process works, and the coaching, resources, and community were fantastic. I signed my offer letter with my next role in less than 90 days.
