Least suggested online service

Used their service since I need to access the sms code and for some reason I cannot login on my phone so I login on a web browser. Then their big-brains made the decision to put the web service QR Code only and the customer support doesn’t work at all. Entirely a scam.

I would have rated them significantly…

I would have rated them significantly higher, though not 5 stars. There have been minor issues in the past, but they were good about resolving them. However, they just made it inacccessible without using a QR code. The whole reason I have been using text free is because I do not have a smart phone. Now I can't use it & not only are there a lot of conversations & pics on it that I can't access, a person who I have no other way of reaching, but also it's the only way I can retrieve my emails if my password is lost. And I have no idea what my password is because they frequently make me change it, but then it reverts back to the old one. I have a lenghty list of all the passwords I've used, but none work. And, a text code is the only way I can retrive it. I'm homebound & seriously disabled, so I rely on email for a lot. I also have tons saved on it that's really important. So, if I lose it, I'm in trouble. Yes there are people who use Text Free for their phones, but a lot of people who use it have it because they don't have smart phones. (Yes, there are still a lot of us & there are many valid reasons why I don't have one.) So, forcing Text Free users to access it via QR code makes computer use only impossible. I am beyond furious with them.

Blocked without explanation and treated dismissively.

My number was blocked by this app for no clear reason. Support refused to explain why, said the decision was irreversible, and suggested I use another service instead.

I wasn’t rude, abusive, or given any warning. The lack of transparency and the tone of the response felt careless and disrespectful.

If you value clear communication and basic customer support, be cautious. Being cut off without explanation is frustrating and unacceptable.

This is a scam

This is a scam. You get an email asking to verify your account (that you never created). If you pursue this, you arrive at a supposed "text history" where you read about someone sending you money. The trap is in place, ready for you to click on the link to "get your money". SCAM.

No support at all

Got an e-mail about verifying my e-mail address, but I've never even heard about this site. Tried contacting them, but the chatbot is useless, and when sending an e-mail to them, it's just a bot-reply. I been waiting and waiting for a proper reply from them, but they couldn't care less about support...

Pay no attention to the other reviews

Pay no attention to the other reviews, mine is the only one you need to read.
1st, cell companies are pos greedy corporate pigs that make millions off our men in prison and cust service is some random person working at a call center! They don't even work for the cell companies, they just have a sheet with their pre approved answers. That's what you're paying 100's for every month. I have been with Text Free for years and no matter what my problem is I have NEVER had to run around with AI, never talked to someone in a different country that couldn't help if they wanted to and have never been asked to send screenshots or validate my claim. I get a real person, the same day and usually they give me extra minutes or something else just to make sure I'm happy. They tell me what to do to fix it and OMG, IT WORKS! Shocking, i know! AND NO, I CAN'T GET CODES, IT'S A VOIP, BUT I ALSO HAVE COMPLETE PRIVACY, it's untraceable, and the price is so high it's $0 a month! Z-E-R-O dollars and no cents is expensive,.....NOT! I love my Text Free and will never use those other degenerate greedy corporate pigs again. Word to ur moms; in the back of her minivan.... lol, jk. Sorta 😉

My sidekick sent a verification code…

My sidekick sent a verification code text to me for a service I was signing up for. This triggered textfree to not let me see the codes or text my contact or use textfree without $10/ mo subscription. I removed the app and tried to sign up again. I am banned for registration abuse

Are they a scam?

Just started using this service. Very slow load times. Not quite sure whether or not they are selling my info or actually being legit. Suspecting the first one as there are no ads.
