How does Tesco expect you to reset your account information with out first letting you reset your phone number. Sending a code to my old phone number does not allow me to pass the verification process. I need to provide the new phone number so I can do this. How impossible, awkward, stupid and a waste of time trying.

Ordered 3 tesco deliveries recently

Ordered 3 tesco deliveries recently. First was fab the second was horrendous (delivery guy pretended id refused the otlrder at the door) he hadnt wven knocked my door!! then by the time i tried to reorder they wer closed bearing in they'd taken my £ & I had to wait up to 5 days for a refund.. 😠 The third order i placed was good. I think it all depends on the courier tbh.. but I do think Tesco should put more items on tesco whoosh. Many of the items Id added to my basket became unavailable when I switched my delivery to whoosh. All my ice creams amongst other items became out of stock.. so I take it they only deliver selected items when making a whoosh order. Make more items available when making a whoosh delivery please Tesco x

Went to my local Tesco today, left a soapy taste

Went to my local Tesco today, (I go 4-5 times per week) needing laundry detergent, saw an offer of £8 to 5 with club card, I loaded 3 cartons into my basket and proceeded to checkout, expecting them to come to £15, I was shocked when they were £24, now it’s not a huge amount of money, but how many folk don’t notice or check when doing a big shop?

I pointed it out to cashier (very pleasant and apologetic lady) she suspended the transaction and I went to check, again it showed £8-5, I looked around and realised someone had put wrong size of detergent on the shelf and thus the price difference, I chose a different product and returned to checkout, (now wrongful pricing is bad enough, but I’m in retail and I understand Caveat emptor, and buyer beware)
I began explaining it to the lady and a young lad, jumped in and said you can’t have that price, I replied I know, I’m in retail, someone has cocked up and put wrong size on that shelf, and he then said “so you don’t want it then?”, I firmly replied No, I then proceeded with the transaction and the lady behind till said most would argue and get it that price, she was lovely, the other guy tho has zero customer service, I will use alternative stores from now on.

Long queues at checkout + other issues

Re: Tesco Gerrards Cross
Some good points - the store was clean and well organised. Most of the stuff I wanted was on the shelves and the reduced section had, for a change, some sensible reductions on stuff about to go out of date.

The store was only moderately busy yet only 3 manned checkouts were working. When I got to the checkout there was a full conveyor belt plus two full trolleys yet to unload ahead of me. Not great. The person who served me (Anna) was excellent. Both Anna and her 2 colleagues on checkout duty worked VERY hard and diligently to get customers through quickly - I didn't witness any "management" intervention to ameliorate the situation. Reminded me of Lidl, actually.

I did get to see some special people though - those that park on double-yellows outside the entrance and block/impede Joe Public using the car park. U-turns to further delay others? Certainly - they're special! Again, no management intervention.

A couple more generic points:
1. The tescoviews website seems not to be functional.
2. My bill did not identify individual reductions on items on the reduced shelves. It showed full price for each item and then a global "special offers" deduction. I found it very difficult to audit if all discounted items had been included and correctly priced - and by the time I checked my bill some items were already in the freezer. Not good.

Looks like they've already banged…

Looks like they've already banged prices up before the tax has even come in to affect. The clubcard prices are a scam theyre clearly the real prices of products and they just over inflate the prices of everything else. I guarentee even with these taxes coming in for companies they will still make more than they did before the tax! People need to stop protesting things like, stop oil and palestine and start protesting little scam rats like these companies who are literally ripping everyone off from farmers to customers.

Tesco vegan & gluten free better than other stores

I'm dairy & gluten intolerant. My husband vegan. Tesco does more vegan & gluten free options than any of it's High St competitor stores. We've shopped all around. In Tesco stores these products are displayed as normal - you go to the cheeses section in the store to get plant based cheese, to the pastry section to get gluten free pastry, while whole isles can be dedicated to vegan & gluten free, etc. We're still trying to find Violife Parmesan & 'La Rond camembert' plant cheeses at Tesco though. No other stores offers a wider range of Violife plant cheeses - an opportunity for Tesco??

Nothing I can do!

Tesco have made if difficult to complain to them directly, so I have taken to Trustpilot.
I visited the Chesterfield store at around 6pm on Saturday to return a pair of large tracksuit bottoms that I bought the previous day. As I paid using a digital gift-card the refund was to a gift-card. The system would not let the refund be to the digital gift-card I used (that is interesting given that a refund to a credit card can only be made to the card used for the initial transaction). I was given a physical gift card. I managed to find a pair of tracksuit bottoms in medium. When I went to use the gift-card to pay for them the system would not accept the gift card. I went to Customer Services fully expecting someone to be able to help me by over-riding the system. The Customer Service agent tried to help but she was unable to override the system, so she put out a call for a team leader on the tannoy. After about 10 minutes a team leader arrived. She told me that the card can take up to 24 hours to be registered and there was NOTHING she could do. We had a heated discussion because I told her that I did not believe there was nothing she could do. I made a number of suggestions including putting the gift card in the till with a note that the till would be short by the value of the gift card until tomorrow when the system would recognise it. She said that was not possible!!! Every little helps?
I was extremely unhappy because I would have to visit the store again to make my purchase. There was 25% off all clothing which was unlikely to be the case next time I visited the store. When I explained this to the team leader, she repeated that she could not do anything, very helpful. Every little helps? She even had the audacity to say I had made things much too complicated and told me what I should have done. Every little helps?
It is hard to understand how a company that made nearly £3 billion profit last year is happy to treat customers in this way. I am sure that there is something that could have been done to help me. If there isn’t that is almost worse. Having worked in IT for BA for many years there was always a way to override the system if the need arose.
I would also like to point out the penny pinching attitude of this multi-national company. I felt very sorry for the Customer Service Agent. She tried to help but explained that there was only one team leader on shift so I may have to wait some time. Every little helps? She said that she sometimes wondered why they use the tannoy system. After putting out 3 tannoy calls she had to use her own personal phone to call for assistance because the customer service phone was not working and had been that way for some time. Every little helps?
I realise that Tesco do not really care about their customers, something that the team leader demonstrated all too well. Profit is all that matters and they are doing very nicely.

Poor show for a large company

Poor show for a large company, had my online order cancelled 2 hours before my delivery slot due to a problem with one if their vans. However when trying to re schedule the order, there are available slots same day later in the evening, but at a premium delivery cost if £7, as opposed to my original cost of £3. How can such a so called large firm not have a spare delivery van available in case if such occurrence. A very disappointed customer as I have people coming later today for tea and I needed some of those items I ordered.

Avoid,full of false promises

Avoid,Avoid,Avoid
Full of false promises.
I purchased Cream fluffy pyjamas from Tesco, which were neatly folded and encased in a ribbon tie. Upon returning home I opened the pyjamas to find black oily marks all around the neckline. These pyjamas had been folded in such a way to disguise the black marks as they were no way visible from the way they had been packed. I live quite a way from the store so I called customer support who said they would refund me via a voucher to my e mail, guess what, it has never arrived this was on the 8th of January 2025, it is now the 25th January 2025, I have called them twice and I still don’t have my refund. It is an absolute joke. They are tricking the customers into buying faulty goods and then ignoring them afterwards. Shoddy incompetent customer care. They then have the nerve to boast about how many millions they have made in profits. Tesco be ashamed, you took my hard earned cash and left me hanging.

Unfortunately had a bad experience today in Tesco barnhill broughty ferry.
For years it has been my go to because it's handy for me as a disabled person.
I was told by a member of staff of the checkout it wasn't his job to pack my shopping and was mine in a very rude way . All the other staff are great and go above and beyond but definitely won't be back having to be faced with that kind of non customer service
