AVOID AT ALL COSTS

It is with disappointment that I write this review, I believe in always giving the benefit of the doubt and attempting to resolve amicably first, however, after 4 emails at attempting to resolve, I have decided it is best to warn future customers of the extremely poor customer service and the fact the question and answer sheets have incorrect information on them and when highlighted, they have chosen to ignore my emails.
I have subsequently requested a refund and was told as it was not requested within 48 hours, I am not entitled to a refund.
Please, for your own peace of mind, avoid this company at all costs, we, as parents and grandparents, want only the best for our children and companies like this abuse our good intentions.
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

Job Alert Issues

I have been getting the weekly job alert from TES for years. This is based on job alert keyword filters. This system has worked until recently.
This week for example the email said I have SIX jobs matching one of my alert filters. When I clicked on the email to bring up those jobs matching that job alert filter ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND ONE jobs came up. Even if I limit this to new jobs it's simply not possible to search that many jobs.
In the past just the SIX jobs came up and it was possible to search them.
I have contacted TES five times about this but they say I should change my alert filters. The alert filters I use are specific and have worked before for approximately 15 years.
Clearly this is a new problem but the most concerning thing is TES are unable or unwilling to resolve it.
I hope the leadership of TES read this and resolve it. If they don't clearly it's going to negatively affect their business.

Despite minimal course progress, I was required to pay the full cancellation fee, with no meaningful option to pause, transfer, or re-enter later

My experience with this course and its administration was deeply disappointing.

The academic content itself was weak and offered little value beyond very basic guidance on writing at postgraduate level. What stood out far more, however, was the complete lack of humanity shown by the administrative team.

I withdrew partway through the course after a family bereavement and a sudden change in my employment situation, which the course depended on. Despite this, and despite having completed very little of the programme, I was met with an uncompromising demand for the full cancellation fee. No deferral, pause, or reasonable alternative was offered.

I understand that organisations have policies, but the rigidity with which these were applied — in circumstances involving bereavement and redundancy — felt punitive rather than professional.

Prospective students should be extremely cautious. If your circumstances change for any reason, do not expect flexibility or support. Ensure you are fully prepared to absorb the full financial cost, regardless of personal or professional upheaval.

Very Disappointed

I spent six months preparing for an interview for a teaching course with tes, only for them to cancel my entire course right before my scheduled time. No warning, no real explanation — just that they no longer offer the course. I had already been working at a school and was counting on this course to move forward in my career. It was heartbreaking and felt like such a waste of time and hope. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this.

It constantly signs you out

It constantly signs you out, or sometimes just stops halfway through a question. It can even forget that you’ve ever logged on and tell you to create a new password, which means getting another link from your school all over again. This isn’t great, considering it’s used by a lot of teachers. Why would schools hire this company if these issues happen with their system on a regular basis? It would be okay if it was just my account, but it seems to be affecting other accounts at my school too. At times, many teachers are trying to get access to the website because TES has decided they’re no longer part of it if they don’t log in after a few weeks.

Subscription mistake

When feeling under the weather I inadvertently paid an annual subscription to TES. For some reason I’d read it would be £4.90 monthly, instead I saw almost £60 being taken from my account immediately. Disgusted at their complete lack of empathy and refusal to issue a refund although I contacted them promptly. Their wording should be clearer on their subscription page. I would rather have given the money to charity instead of lining their greedy pockets.

TES HELP NO REPLY

I’ve been waiting over 3 weeks and still can’t access my TES Schrole account.
I’ve applied for several jobs and am now missing out on opportunities because the system won’t reset my password or allow me to log in. It’s incredibly frustrating.
Can someone from support please respond and help resolve this urgently?

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Both one of their resources and they can neither provide a proof of purchase with my legal information, an invoice nor a refund.

Will not buy again from them.

DO NOT buy from this scam of a company

DO NOT buy from this scam of a company. I REPEAT DO NOT. I bought a filed package and when it downloaded it did not come with the details listed in description. I tried to get a refund but of course NOPE. I will not be a returning customer

The magazine subscription service is a con - watch out!

I took out a trial for a TES subscription, costing £3.00. I didn't find it useful and cancelled the subscription straight away. Three months later, I found out that £23.70 had been taken from my bank account without my permission. I rang customer service and requested a refund, but they said I had every opportunity to cancel the subscription prior to the renewal. However, I didn’t know I still had this subscription until the renewal went through. They said they had no obligation to inform me of the renewal, as it always renews automatically once signed up. This is a complete con – very disappointing that it’s targeted at teachers.

Tes is a waste of time

I don't think Tes puts certain people forward for jobs. May be this is because I put my face on the CV showing my skin colour. The amount of jobs I've applied for on there is ridiculous but have never heard back from one. I contacted one of the jobs directly and they informed me that they never received any application through a third party.

The experience with Tes has been mixed

The experience with Tes has been mixed. While the platform for sharing teaching resources is efficient and user-friendly, offering features like file uploads and download tracking, customer service can be inconsistent. There's room for improvement, especially when handling issues like refunds for unsatisfactory purchases. However, the addition of new services like online parent evenings is a positive step. Overall, it provides useful tools for teachers, but with some areas needing attention. 3 stars.

The Tesco workers are sometimes so…

The Tesco workers are sometimes so friendly. Other times not so much. They can be a bit monotone when asking them questions which I understand when working a 9-5 but sometimes it will be a simple where the toothpaste and they’ll give a very sarcastic response. But the store is huge when shopping in a tesco extra
