TeamSnap One: A Disappointing Upgrade I Mean Downgrade "Team Snap ZERO"
Old TeamSnap was great for team management. We have 150 to 200 athletes across twenty different teams. We've used TeamSnap for over five years and it was fantastic. However, TeamSnap One, which we have nicknamed TeamSnap Zero, is absolutely awful. Do not move to TeamSnap One. It is missing so many features that the old version had.
Coaches can't create schedules from desktop computers. Admins can't use the app to do anything; they have to use a desktop computer for every task. I filed at least a dozen trouble tickets because their system doesn't allow you to do what the old system used to do. There is no invoicing. There is no auto-rostering. You have to manually go in and click a button every single time someone registers just to roster them to a team. This has become a total management nightmare.
It went from one or two hours a week of software management to two hours a day just to run our club. It was one of the worst decisions we've ever made as a club to move to TeamSnap One (I mean ZERO) because you get nothing but donuts from it.
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Teamsnap. The customer service was horrible from start to finish, and the product did not match what was shown during the demo at all.
We were sold on features and functionality that simply weren’t there once we started using the product. After realizing the product was not a fit, we stopped using it in less than a month. Despite this, we were still charged for the entire year, with no reasonable attempt to resolve the issue or offer a fair adjustment.
There was no accountability, no transparency, and no effort to make things right. This feels like a company more focused on locking customers into long-term payments than delivering on what they promise during their sales process.
I would strongly caution others to think twice before committing. Make sure everything promised in the demo is clearly documented in writing — otherwise you may end up paying for a product that doesn’t deliver.
It is not possible to delete an account…
It is not possible to delete an account from the web-app; multiple steps are necessary and support needs to be contacted, so that they can remove the account after a review; ridiculous.
Way too many ads now!
The app is fine. It's just have been adding way too many advertisements and they always come up when you least want to see it. Omg. Lol. So annoying. There is also a prompt that comes up a lot asking me to sign up to pay for the service as a coach. I'm just a parent.
I forgot my password
I forgot my password. The “send magic link” and password reset options both send a link to my email that then tells me the link has expired, no matter how fast I click on it. There appears to be ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO CONTACT TEAM SNAP that I can find in the app or on their website. The FAQs don’t help. They clearly don’t want to hear about it when something doesn’t work.
I am older and can remeber when whings…
I am older and can remeber when whings weren't all an app and can remeber that often the old way of doing things was much faster and more efficient, If you print out a schedule and hand it to aprents they can post it and look at in about 1/10th te tiame it takes to go one team snap. Filling out the list list oif games and practices on team snap tkes MUCH longer than printing a schedule or emailing a schedule. The only reason I use Teamsnap is I am forced to by my club
Full of bugs and adds it's honestly…
Full of bugs and adds it's honestly terrible! I truly don't understand how teams still use this system
What a piece of garbage
What a piece of garbage. I was added to a household, and after joining I could not see anything, and then while using the web app on my computer, they have kept me in an endless loop of not being able to delete my account.
BEWARE-worst product and even worse…
BEWARE-worst product and even worse customer service.
Teams disappear, accounts interchange, can't log into account. The only help is to email....and wait 3 or more days for a reply. I waited 10 days. Got a basic email about what I should try (which I had done). I replied that and waited another 5 days for another stupid suggestion. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They do not care if it works. They don't care if you can't find your children's team information, emails, chats etc. Urging everyone to move on to other platforms. THIS one is terrible.
Complete SCAM company filling my Email…
Complete SCAM company filling my Email with bogus surveys like "[Top Harbor Winners] You have-won-an BAUER 20V Cordless Drill/Driver Kit" and "Congratulations, You've Won the Milwaukee Cordless Power Tool Set!" all while claiming to be "Connecting the world of youth sports". PURE SCUM.
I hate teamsnap
I hate teamsnap there are far more efficient ways to communicate with your team. I only use it beacues my club forces me to. I gave it 1 star because 0 stars wasn't an optiom
Teamsnap has no customer service number…
Teamsnap has no customer service number to call. I had multiple issues and it took an hour and 15 minutes of email/chats to address the issues, none of which were my fault. It would have been FAR faster for both the customer service representative and me, if we had been able to talk and work through the issue. They would not give me the manager to email chat with. They have customer service agents for "league" commissioners to talk to, but only league commissioners can talk to the agents. When our commissioner called the agent, she was out of the office for the next 3 weeks (which is fine someone is on vacation), but the recommendation was to go through the same web/chat process. The TeamSnap product has too many issues/glitches and the customer service process is one of the worst that I've expereinced. I'm trying to be factual here.
Very disappointed with the "upgrade"…
Very disappointed with the "upgrade" that we were sold. In addition to the fact that it is very cumbersome, repetitive and is not user friendly from the administrator's point of view, we were promised something that was not actually available. Specifically, our not for profit wanted to be able to submit and have parents/players sign off on waivers and forms all at the time of registration. Teamsnap offered that capability and it was submitted/signed by all parents. However, according to TeamSnap, there is no way for administrators to ever obtain the actually signed waivers/documents, which defeats the entire purpose and forced us to go out and have them all re-signed. We didnt feel like TeamSnap service were versed in the topic and/or helpful.
The app continues to get worse
The app continues to get worse. Now Teamsnap tries to sell you their add free version every time you open the app. They make it very easy to mistakenly subscribe. Additionally, if you haven’t tried to contact their support you are lucky. They only allow email communication, their turnaround time is often multiple days (greater than 48 hours), and the customer service reps purposely try to delay any assistance and tell you that you, the user, are wrong regardless of the problem. Why would anyone pay for a service like this? Everyone should go to your coach and express the need to switch to an alternative platform.
Customer Service Extinct
Customer Service Extinct - Our non profit sports group purchased the one year subscription and there isn't any customer service. The onboarding experience is only through tutorials. Scheduling customer service says its convenient but doesn't even exist. They schedule two months out which isnt convenient when you need customer service for your tournament or customers. They sold us fake promises and the system is not intuitive. We tried working with them from August 2023- the day before the tournament in June 2024 and never received a call, assistance or any support at all. One star is too many!
The worst customer service I have ever experienced
Three weeks ago the paid subscriptions stats page stopped loading. After several attempts to email, to live chat, and several "escalations" to the so called development team there is no progress. The stats don't load. Dozens of players lost their stats / metrics and the only advice they can give? Start a new page and manually input the whole season again.. with stats I don't have. Never pay for this site. Ever.
This is a weird company
This is a weird company. I purchased two subscriptions for $79 each. I wasn't getting enough out of them, so I chatted with one of their representatives and asked to end my subscription. I didn't expect anything other than the termination at the end of the contract - a year later. But he said he would give me a credit that would show up in my bank in 1-2 weeks. I was so impressed! Fast forward and that was a total lie. They gave me the runaround when I asked them about it. I would never trust them again. They are unprofessional.
TeamSnap is colossally unintuitive
TeamSnap is colossally unintuitive. I can’t remove old teams from my account, and their “help” bots are useless.
Horrible app
Horrible app, froze after recent update Nd won’t give me the option to delete the app in IOS so I can reload it and sign back in. Now it’s stuck on my phone and useless because I’m not resetting my whole phone over the app because it is also my work phone and is full of sensitive information. I’m honestly considering hiring a lawyer and suing.
