Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the quality of products, citing issues like poor picture quality, slow performance, and products failing prematurely, often within a few months or years of purchase. The customer service and after-sales support were frequently described as unresponsive, unhelpful, and misleading, with many struggling to get assistance for faulty items or warranty claims. Some people were dissatisfied with the warranty process, finding it difficult to get repairs or replacements for defective products, even when issues arose shortly after purchase. Conversely, a few other people also felt that some of their products, like certain TV models or a freezer, offered good picture quality or were well-built.

Defective TCL Aircon and Unresolved…

Defective TCL Aircon and Unresolved Service Issues

I purchased a TCL 1.5HP Split Type Inverter Air Conditioner (Model: TAC-13CSD/KEI2) on August 7, 2025, and my experience has been very disappointing.

Within a few months, the unit developed recurring water leakage issues. We requested service multiple times and even paid service fees, but the problem was never resolved.

Now, the unit has completely stopped working—less than a year after purchase. This is unacceptable for a brand-new air conditioner.

This has seriously affected our household, especially since we have a young infant who cannot sleep properly due to the heat.

Given the repeated failures and ineffective repairs, I am requesting a full unit replacement instead of further repairs.

Very poor product reliability and after-sales service.

Disappointing Service & Zero Coordination – Brand new TCL TV (2025 Model) is unusable.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professional support from both HelloTV and TCL regarding my brand-new television. Despite it being under full warranty, I have been left with a defective unit for over 10 days without any resolution.
Product & Order Details:
Model: TCL QD Mini-LED 55C79K (2025)
Order Number (HelloTV): 251322502
Factory Order No: QCC552726A
Serial Number: Z2549028397
The Issues:
Technical Defect: The system completely freezes every time the remote control is used, requiring a manual power reset. This occurs repeatedly throughout the day.
Lack of Coordination: I have provided all verified data, including photos of the original box label and internal system screenshots (Serial No: Z2549028397, BOM No: P2Z2S10401006941). Yet, there is a massive gap in communication between the customer service and technical departments.
Impossible Demands: The support team (TCL) continues to delay the process by demanding a photo of the back of the TV, ignoring my explanation that the 55-inch unit is professionally mounted on a fixed wall bracket. As I live alone, it is physically impossible and unsafe for me to dismount it without assistance.
Neglect: It is unacceptable for a consumer to be ignored for over 10 days while their primary device is broken.
I expect an immediate escalation of this case and a confirmed date for a technician visit. This level of service is a poor reflection of both HelloTV and TCL.

Great TV (55C655 Pro)

Great TV (55C655 Pro), but zero support. I've been asking for an Android 14 update for a week through all official channels and no one is responding. My S/N is Z2446054001. I hope someone here notices and finally pushes the update to my device. Rado from Slovakia.

Straight up need a zero. Don't waste your money. Zero customer service.

Straight up need a zero. Online with their chatbot and she got into a loop and kept asking me to do the same thing over and over. I asked for a person and it put me on hold for 10 plus minutes after saying my wait time was 2 minutes and then hung up on me. I am on hold again. There is no one to email. You must go through the chat bot either text or phone. I don't know if this will get resolved. TV is 7 months old and has the same black screen that everyone else has. Seems common and I should have researched better. I expect at least 2 years from these tvs now days. I got 7 months. TV is 75S451. Don't waste your money.

Worst company in Nepal

Worst company in Nepal. My washing machine had a board problem, as they said. It's already been 15 days, and they're still saying it will take more than 15 days because their parts are coming from China. Is this a relevant thing to say? One month for service, and still not sure about the parts. How can we wash clothes? Please do not buy TCL products; they are too cheap and have zero quality. My friend got a TV and washing machine, and they always make similar excuses. I even have a TCL AC in my office, but now I'm done. Please do not buy products from TCL or CG. Beware.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. I've been waiting 47 days for my 4 month old 65" to be repaired. This mob TCL are thieves, conmen, and every other bad name that you can say about a company that doesn't give a @$$% about their customers.
DONT DONT DONT BUY TCL. IF YOU DO YOU'LL REGRET IT.

No service for repairs

I bought TCL NXTPAPER 11. The product itself was good but after one month, I broke the screen. Sent it to the only authorized service in Czechia just to wait 2 months for a replacement without success. So in the end totally useless product, if it gets damaged/broken.

Best less than millionaire's TV’s

With a lot of trouble and harassment from Best Buy (listen to me, don’t go there) I have used the 98” QM7,8 and 9 MK’s and the X11K TV’s. SPECTACULAR! Looking forward to the X11L. Sound isn’t as good as we are being told, sadly.

TCL 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G is Junk

I bought a TCL 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G and it's junk. I have sent two messages to TCL Australia via their website support form and left a comment on X, but they haven't replied to any.
I definitely won't be buying anything else of theirs.

Terrible tablet

Terrible tablet. It just keeps getting worse and worse. They wanted $25 for shipping plus it would have been another $25 to back up all my data to send it back for repairs. Based on past experience with them I am not prepared to waste any more money. Their service is also terrible. The "customer service rep" even told me there are not ANY phone phones for the customer service manager and I would have to open a case number and the person would call. No call back at all. I will NEVER buy another of their products.

This company has a "smoke and mirrors"…

This company has a "smoke and mirrors" approach to customer service. Their "technical support" has a California phone number that when you call it no one will answer and it will say "the mailbox is full." I've called 14 times and no help, I've chatted support Rica and got no help.

Ongoing warranty dispute and unresolved defects after multiple service attempts

This review is based on my real and ongoing personal experience with TCL Mobile Care.

I currently have two smartphones (TCL 30 SE and TCL 40 SE) still held by authorized TCL service centers, after multiple RMA submissions for the same recurring network defect, which has never been resolved despite repeated technical assessments.

The TCL 30 SE was supplied directly by TCL as a replacement for a previous Alcatel device. Under EU and national consumer law, the legal warranty starts from the date of delivery of the replacement, not from the original product. Nevertheless, after several unsuccessful repair attempts, I was informed that the device would allegedly be considered out of warranty.

The TCL 40 SE, purchased within the European Union, has shown the same network instability, again confirmed by repeated service returns without an effective solution.

What concerns me most is that I was warned that my case could be closed unless I strictly follow the “standard procedure”, even though both devices are still under service and the defect has never been repaired. From a consumer perspective, this feels like undue pressure, especially after numerous documented repair attempts.

My requests are straightforward and consistent with EU consumer protection principles:
– recognition that repeated failed repairs indicate persistent non-conformity;
– replacement of both devices with smartphones supporting 5G connectivity, dual SIM + SD expansion, and fast battery charging, as an effective and final remedy.

Due to the lack of resolution, I have formally submitted a complaint to the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM). The matter is still ongoing.

I am sharing this experience to inform other consumers and to encourage a more transparent and consumer-oriented handling of warranty cases.

Misleading Info in Tablet Manual

I bought a TCL Nextpaper 14 inch tablet this week. I like the tablet but the User Manual appears to have been copied from another product and already I have found two examples of misleading information. The manual says holding the power button will bring up a menu. It doesn't, it simply switches off.

The user guide says: "Finding your serial number or IMEI
You can find your serial number or International Mobile
Equipment Identity (IMEI) on the packaging materials.
Alternatively, choose Settings > My device > Status
>IMEI on the tablet itself."

This doesn't work. I searched under Settings and there is no result for "International Mobile
Equipment Identity", "IMEI", "My Device", "Device" or "Status".

Fortunately, I was able to retrieve the packaging from my bin and have the serial number from this. Given the importance of the SN, a warning about keeping the packaging would have been useful.

And when I went to send a message to TCL about the SN number issue, I was asked to identify which tablet I had, but the list provided didn't include my model!
Updated 25/01/26
I got an email from TCL today which includes, "We would like to inform you that your case number TCL-3189792 has been marked as closed." This follows an acknowledgment email from TC on 18/01/26. But I havn't see a substantive response in between. So I am downgrading from two stars to one star. And I still don't have a manual that I can rely on.
