Such a terrible place to buy from. Customer Service will not and can not help you. My cards came in terrible condition. I bought some expensive cards from their Wizard Play Network (directly from them), and they didn't put any protection on it when it shipped. The cards came in bent. When I messaged them about it, I got a response, but they did not resolve my issue.
It has been stressful buying from this site. I have tried to create 8 orders since the end of December till now the end of Jan. 6 orders have been immediately refunded with no explanation. I have tried to reach out to customer services several times; initially they did reply and promised me it was fixed - but I have since tried 4 times it has definitely not been fixed. Customer service just aren't replying anymore - not to new tickets, not to the reply of the rejection email and not to the email thread. So so frustrating to pick out your cards for hours then it gets cancelled over and over again. I have also raised a ticket online with no response. I am also out of pocket for one of the most recent orders which got cancelled as the money hasn't as yet been returned to my account.
Seller Sent Japanese Cards and TCG doesnt card.
I've been trying to get a refund, but as of yet I'm only being helped by Ai support. I've reported it to my bank and hopefully I can get my money back. I canceled the order one day after placing it
I recently had an issue where a listing on TCGplayer clearly displayed "shipping included" when I viewed the item. I took a screenshot showing exactly what was on the page at the time of purchase. However, at checkout I was charged an additional $10 shipping fee.
When I contacted the seller, the responses were dismissive and insisted I “missed” the shipping charge, even though my screenshot showed otherwise. The communication felt unprofessional and did not address the actual discrepancy.
I then contacted TCGplayer support, expecting that they would uphold their own Marketplace Seller Agreement, which requires sellers to honor the price displayed at the time of purchase. Instead, support repeatedly assumed that I misunderstood the listing despite the screenshot I provided. Eventually, they closed the case stating they were “unable to assist,” without addressing the screenshot or the inconsistency between the listing and the charge.
This experience made it clear that TCGplayer will not intervene even when a listing is misleading, and buyers cannot rely on support to resolve issues or enforce policy. As a result, I no longer feel confident using the platform.
2nd time I order One Piece tcg stuff here we go again...sigh.. Basically the price was $146 Hiked up to $200 at the end of it all. Pre - Orders are not worth it here was expecting event cards as promised if ordered early didn't happen story short website sucks ordered from another store hooked me up n box 3 boxes for $120 with 5 event packs. TCGPlayers not even worth the browse.
I made an order from TCGplayer Direct, believing the higher price tage was justified since it would be quicker than multiple packages from several independent sellers. Its been a week and my cards still haven't shipped. Last time I ever use this website. Ever since firing a employees over unionizing and moving to Kentucky, the website has become terrible. They use AI customer service so you can never actually get help for anything.
Edit: When I finally received my order, the cards were not in the envelope and it was cut open. It's possible that this was someone at the post office but my issue is with the TCGplayer Direct packaging. They send the cards in bright blue envelopes with their label plastered all over it, making it incredibly obvious what's being sent. The masses have all heard of pokemon cards and such that are worth a lot, creating a real risk of tampering before your receive your cards. Just another reason to use a different service.
Genuinely impossible to even use.
I made several attempts to place a simple order for a few single cards and a box of card sleeves, website refused to go past the check-out page, clicking "place order" merely refreshes the page...
I tried different payment options, my own card, paypal, paypal as guest and entering my card again, but nothing gives!!
Turns out this isn't as uncommon as I had thought.
What kind of store can't even charge its customers???
Anyways, I'm testing my luck with literally any other card shop.
If I could give zero stars I would, the absolute worst experience I've had with a company. Somehow the small card shops that sell through them treat customers FAR better than TCGplayer themselves. It feels nothing short of shady tactics happening from the company. Here is the email correspondence I had with them for my package in which the wrong address was auto filled. I contacted them Immediately after placing the order and realizing, FAR before any shipping was done.

Greetings --------,
Thank you for reaching out! I understand how important it is to have your order sent to the correct address. Unfortunately, we are unable to process the requested change of address at this time due to our current warehouse relocation, which limits our ability to make certain order changes.
We hope that the package will be returned to us as 'undeliverable' in the next few days. Please let us know if you haven't received it once your Estimated Delivery Date (EDD) has passed.
In the meantime, I recommend using the USPS Package Intercept service to try and redirect your package. You can find more information here: [ was sent non working usps package interception link ]
Additionally, please log into your TCGplayer account and click the 'My Account' button in the upper right corner. From there, you can access the 'Manage Addresses' link to remove any incorrect addresses associated with your account for future orders.
It may also be helpful to check any saved addresses in autofill settings on your devices and payment methods. If there's anything else we can assist you with, please let us know. We're sorry we couldn't accommodate this request at this time!
Best,
Hailey

Not until next day (today right now) did I receive response saying they were unable to catch the order in time and it has already shipped, but checking the order history it says it has not been confirmed for shipping yet, all the other cards I have ordered and whose shop owners contacted me saying they would update the address the shipping is marked as confirmed... Will never order through TCGplayer Direct again, probably wont use the site, and I will be shouting from the mountain tops to all who can hear at my local card events to absolutely NOT order through them... Though judging by the opinion from people at last nights commander night plenty are already well aware.
The store itself works fine, it is a clear and easy way to get cards... on the surface. I ordered cards in August, and most of them came fairly soon. But one order, from a seller named "EVhitters" (do NOT buy from them) took until next February to START shipping (not even kidding, its really that bad)! And you only have 60 days after placing an order to leave a review for a seller, so I couldn't even warn other people. TCGPlayer needs to increase the review deadline for ridiculous situations like these. The 'date of experience' is when it finally started to ship. The card from that seller never arrived. I am only giving 4 stars because everything ELSE works just fine.
I've found TCGPlayer to be more affordable than eBay and Mercari, at least when it comes to Digimon cards. They stick to their own condition guidelines, and over the years, whenever my cards didn’t arrive in near-mint condition, they’ve always stepped in to make things right. They've even refunded me when I encountered scam sellers, which I really appreciate. A big shoutout to Hailey from customer service—she’s been incredibly helpful with all my issues. Just wanted to say thanks for the great support!
They took out $1000+ from my credit card and debit card without me knowing using my Apple Wallet. I didn't even know this was possible. I immediately issued a chargeback on them. They are a SCAM website. Utterly disgusted at those who own this website and whoever is stealing information from users. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. I don't put out reviews normally but this hit the nail in the coffin that I need to let everyone know how utterly disgusting this website is.
I paid for my order using a credit card to load my account with their gift cards, but TCGPlayer (tcgplayer.com) took the money and now cancels the orders placed with my account. I exchanged messages with Amber from customer service, yet received inconsistent explanations that mix international shipping issues with international customer policies in an unclear, shady manner. TCGPlayer needs to ensure transparency in its policies and improve prompt, effective support to regain customer trust.
Stay away, I should have paid more attention to the trustpilot reviews before trusting my money there.
It should be simple TCGPlayer, you accept the money and you ship items, or you don't, but keeping the money is theft.
