Just another corporation that preys on struggling Americans. Be prepared to make your first payment within a 2 weeks of getting the funds. Better yet, go beg a church for help.

This is an easy loan for people with bad credit
For everybody complaining about high interest rates obviously you cant qualify for a regular lower interest rate on other lenders
For me TBO is much lower rate than other bad credit sites and the loans are very transparent

I took out a $2,600 loan with Atlas Credit (now TBO Bank) and have already paid over $2,088, yet only $150 has been applied to principal. The rest went entirely to interest.
When I asked for a hardship-based resolution, TBO repeatedly sent misleading settlement offers, falsely claiming they were waiving interest — even though I had already paid over $1,900 in interest.
I submitted formal complaints to the CFPB and BBB after TBO refused to acknowledge the overpayment or offer a reasonable solution. Their "offers" were predatory and ignored the financial hardship I disclosed.
I revoked ACH authorization and will not make another payment unless they provide a fair resolution. I strongly caution others to read all terms carefully and document everything.
This experience has been frustrating and exploitative. I urge TBO to review this case honestly and act in good faith.

They have got to be illegal
This bank has got to be doing illegal practices. I got a $1700 loan. They’ve been taking about $500/month out of my checking account for over 6 months, and my loan balance went UP!
Yes, they’ll loan you $1,700 but you’ll end up paying them almost $20,000 in interest. This is definitely predatory lending. I’m having an attorney research TBO (formerly Atlas), review their loan practices and the legality of them under U.S. laws. I see a huge class action lawsuit coming their way.

Got offer for a $1400 loan
Got offer for a $1400 loan that I was approved for. They expected me to pay $400 a month for over a year. Ending up paying back $11000??? For a $1,400 loan? No thanks you

TBO Bank Loan
I was desperate for a financial relief, I looked for help on personal loans and I found this bank, I was approved for the amount desired but I didn’t know until the the end that the loan cost 110% interest which is way too high! I wish it would be government control and regulation on that because it is taking of vantage of the consumer and it is a secured loan on your bank account, no matter what they getting their money and risking someone going hungry as a result!

In a tough time and received an offer in the mail...(I know there's better ways to borrow money) but I decided to apply for the loan, I borrowed 2600, couldn't find anything on the APR % until after I completed the process, long story short paying the weekly amount of loan until it's paid off will cost me over 9500, over 200%apr....STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
So awful it’s almost comical
If there were negative stars, that would be closer to the review they earned. Literally the WORST of the worst! No processes in place to avoid mistakes, agents are in the Middle East that give pre planned responses (robotic), don’t answer the phone, and I could go on and on and on. I’m actually grateful they were so problematic from the beginning, it caused me to avoid doing additional business with them. RUN now!
Deceptive business practices
Last Sumner I was approved for a predatory loan BY atlas financial. I was desperate and accepted the terms of paying over $125 every week. After several months i called and asked if my loan repayment could be reduced and everything went well until Atlas began withdrawing 125 a week again after promising in writing my withdrawal would be reduced to $25 a week.
I had to visit my bank for fraud called customer service and they realized it was an AI mistake so customer service advised me to use another bank account for the weekly withdrawal of $25 per week.
Again more errors and they stopped automatically withdrawing funds even though they had my debit card information in their system.
TBO merged or took over Atlas Financial and just so you know the call center isn't located here in the United States because a month ago there were roosters crowing in the background when I spoke to a customer service representative who definitely sounded like he was from a Latin American country. He said $22 would be withdrawn automatically from my debit card and again their system neglected to make this weekly withdrawal. I never got a call from TBO to fix their systems error. However I did receive an email 📧 today stating my remaining balance owed was sold off to a third party and obviously that will tank my credit score.
If you contact customer service it's transferred to a foreign country call center and no one has any idea what they're doing.
I strongly advice everyone not to borrow money from these people. They aren't trustworthy and they obviously don't know what they're doing.
