After scouring the market for someone who can handle my crypto taxes this year, I went with TaxBit because they seem to have invested quite a bit in software and they seem to have some valuable partnerships and backers in this space. They have a long way to go to be able to handle the complexities of this market, particularly in the DeFi space. Admittedly, this is a difficult task for any crypto tax company but the reason for the 2 stars is because I was basically left on my own to figure out how the software actually works. You can readily get someone to chat with you and you can count on them being syrupy sweet but they are poorly trained. And there is no mechanism to escalate issues to anyone. The people at TaxBit who really know how things work are simply inaccessible. I could have even made due with better documentation but it is still inadequate. In the end, this was one of the most frustrating tax experiences of my life and I worked with TaxBit for over 3 months on this, going from one person to the next. I am hopeful they will make great strides this year but I'm not that optimistic since this space seems to be moving faster than TaxBit can keep up.

It was difficult not having Bitrue up and running for both of us. Not anyones fault . just pressure to finish taxes. Great staff . I will consider them again next year.

You guys got a CSV file imported into Taxbit that I could not. But, you didn't tell me what caused the problem or what I can do in the future to make it work. I don't do a lot of transactions, but I do want to be able to delete those transactions and re-add them as I add more transactions to Exodus. So, a little bit of a point in the right direction would certainly be appreciated.

Excellent customer support. Usually had a resolution to any problem within a day or two.

Having a live person who is knowledgable available almost instantly was and is the reason why I like TaxBit so much. I can't underestimate this. Though I haven't shopped other sites, it may be true that other sites have slightly easier interfaces with the various exchanges, however, in my particular case, that potential advantage was vastly exceeded by the personal and friendly people who spared no effort or time in helping me solve some problems of my own making. It really should be a five star review, but I know there is always room for improvement, and I will be there next year to experience it for myself!

Gamechanger for keeping your crypto taxes to the penny. Also has a tax optimizer that will tell you how to optimize losses when you have them. This software has made me money!

PROS:
Easy integration for most exchanges and wallets.
Interface is very nice, easy to navigate, definitely user friendly.
Chat Support is responsive and Friendly.

CONS::
No Hardware wallets, like Ledger imports available. Accurate coin totals don't show.
No option to show stolen or lost transactions.
Tier 2 support not available via chat.

Summary:
Many things to like but the software should be more mature for it's age. Hardware wallet integration is a must for a easy user experience and more customizable options/filters. Support is quick and responsive. Almost great, so close!
That said, I will try it for a year and see what Taxbit does to make it better.

Excellent customer service but the platform is not intuitive and there is no way to to prioritize long term gains in basis selection. API feeds are a great feature, but sometimes fail to update the data in the platform.

In spite of giving all transaction details, they did not upload the data correctly into their systems, my transactions do not have any cost basis. So my gain /loss is not correct in the end in form 8649.

How ever I have to mention that their system integrated in to my coinbase and BlockFi accounts fine and the transactions are accurately reflect in form 8649

I don't understand they can quickly automate the integration with eToro and make tax reporting easier for customers.
