The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing and well designed, a bit crowed otherwise great atmosphere, just really disappointed by the la carte menu . The wait time for food is a bit long and when the food arrived it wasn’t even hot very mediocre nothing fancy the prices are extortionate and water is £5 plus a 12% service fee ontop of that which was £5 asw ,very disappointed in food I’ve had much better Chinese elsewhere and the portions and not filling at all , very dissatisfied!
Absolutely Unacceptable Service
Absolutely Unacceptable Service - Embarrassing for a “Premium” Restaurant
We booked a table for three on 20.02.2026 to celebrate a 50th birthday. The reservation clearly stated the occasion. On arrival, the host even asked whose birthday it was and we confirmed - 50 years. So there is no excuse for what followed.
We arrived exactly on time and were still told to wait 15 minutes because they were “preparing the table.” For a high-end restaurant charging these prices, that already shows poor organisation.
Drinks service was manipulative from the start. We were asked: “Still or sparkling?” - tap water was never offered. We were charged £5.50 for water, only to later see other tables receiving tap water automatically. We had to request it ourselves. This feels intentionally misleading.
We ordered the Chinese New Year set menu at £70 per person. The menu advertised a “Fire Horse - for 2 - £28” cocktail. My friend clearly confirmed it was for two people, not three. Yet we were served TWO cocktails and charged £56 instead of £28. No clarification. No warning. Just quietly doubled on the bill.
During the main course, empty plates sat on our table. Out of three finished plates, only one was cleared. This is basic service training - and it simply wasn’t there.
Now the most outrageous part: dessert.
We paid for THREE set menus. They brought TWO tiny desserts and TWO lottery tickets. When I pointed out that there were three of us, I was told - seriously - that the desserts were “designed to be shared between two people.”
If that logic applies, then perhaps we should have only paid for two set menus?
After pushing the issue, they brought a third dessert - without apology - saying it was “just for us.” As though correcting their mistake was some kind of favour.
And let’s not forget: this was a 50th birthday celebration. A milestone. The restaurant knew. There was zero acknowledgment. No “Happy Birthday.” No small gesture. Nothing. For a place that markets itself as a luxury experience, the lack of hospitality was shocking.
To top it off, a 14.5% service charge was automatically added to the bill. For what exactly? Poor clearing, misleading upselling, arguing over desserts, and zero birthday recognition?
Our final bill: £284.25 for three people.
Nearly £300 for chaotic service, questionable billing practices, and no attention to detail.
This is not premium dining. This is style over substance, inflated pricing, and very average - at best - hospitality.
Deeply disappointing and absolutely not worth the money.
Incredibly friendly staff
Incredibly friendly staff, especially Emilee F, lovely food and great experience.
Disappointed
Came here for my birthday 2 months ago and was a great experience so went again to celebrate. Sadly wasn’t the same and was left dissatisfied and disappointed. The family all had not so good vibes
Poor service and don’t eat it n the bar area
Went to Tattu before Christmas with my two adult children. Eat in the bar area near the entrance. Both my children eat with there coats on throughout the meal as every time somebody walk in, there was a cold blast blowing straight towards us . When the mains arrived they only brought out the side plates and one main . After asking where the other meals were they arrived but by that time the side plates were cold . The whole experience was very disappointing. Before I left I complained and suggested that they shouldn’t use that area for serving food in. The manager then said to me that someone would get back to regarding my complaint but I’m still awaiting a reply.
Go to a Chinese Takeaway instead
A hollow, rotten establishment that serves frozen-quality food at sky high prices.
The menu doesn’t make it clear that you’re ordering £100+ fried food that you must share
Attempting to contact them to ask for a refund and they admit that the food is not up to standard and refuse to do anything about it.
A rotten business model. Eat anywhere else.
Worst dining experience ever — shocking management and misleading billing
I’ve never been so disappointed with a supposedly “premium” restaurant as I was at Tattu London on 29 November 2025. What should have been a joyous family celebration turned into a stressful ordeal — and it was all due to one man: Pierre, the duty manager on shift.
We arrived on time, only to be shuffled to a waiting area while staff re-arranged tables. We were told we’d be seated next to our relatives. Instead, my elderly mother (age 70+) was seated alone at a table for seven, completely separate. No explanation. No apology. Just a careless decision.
When we tried to order drinks, Pierre confronted us in a shockingly rude and aggressive tone. He falsely accused us of being late, demanded the rest of our group arrive within 10 minutes, and then cut that to 2–3 minutes when I stepped away briefly to check in with arriving guests. His behaviour was intimidating — totally unprofessional and humiliating. I watched as my mother, who had already been distressed by the confusion, was spoken to in the same disrespectful manner.
On top of that:
• They served my mum the wrong dish without even telling her it was different — she didn’t eat it.
• We were handed what looked like their standard menu, but on the bill we were charged using the “festive / seasonal” prices — significantly higher.
• We were overcharged by £52 on food alone, and worse when you add service charges.
We spent over £1,000 that night — expecting good service, good food, and a nice atmosphere. What we got was chaos, rudeness, and rip-off prices.
Summary: Tattu London betrayed our trust. If you value respect, honest pricing, and proper service design for every guest — especially elderly ones — avoid Tattu until they deal with their management issues. Pierre ruined what should have been a special family evening.
Would I recommend? No — absolutely not.

Raúl in Edinburgh was top notch, have been to a few Tattu branches but by far the best server I have had
Amazing food and service from Adriana.
Just had an amazing experience dining…
Just had an amazing experience dining at Tattu — everything from the atmosphere to the food was on another level. The dishes were beautifully presented and packed with flavour; you can really tell how much care goes into every detail.
But what truly made the night stand out was our waiter, Mo. His service was honestly exceptional — attentive without ever being overbearing, genuinely kind, and incredibly professional. He made us feel completely looked after from start to finish. Mo knew the menu inside out and his recommendations were perfect! You could tell he genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience, and that really made a difference.
It’s rare to come across service that feels this personal and sincere. Mo is a credit to Tattu, and thanks to him we’ll 100% be coming back soon. Couldn’t recommend it more!
What an amazing place (Leeds) great…
What an amazing place (Leeds) great service, food was some of the best I have had in a long time. Its not cheap but still felt like good value.
Very bad experience I not recommend to anyone
Very bad experience I would recommend you should becarful as they not friendly also me and all my family did not feel welcome. The environment was very toxic and bad energy. We 7 minutes late was told us our money was not refundable. My family coming all the way from London to Manchester to get that bad experience am very disappointed as all the staff need to be trained how to deal with an issue. Also discrimination was all over them face coming to my sister telling her to move her cake and also was told she need to switch off her snap camera off wow. Also other guys that came out of the restaurant told us they had a bad experience I will know better next time.

We went to Tattu Birmingham today for…
We went to Tattu Birmingham today for our anniversary. Tattu is an absolutely beautiful dining experience, the building and atmosphere is so calming and enjoyable with the food not being too expensive however delicious and extremely filling. The lady who seated us was very kind and helpful, my apologies I didn’t get her name! We weren’t rushed during our time and our server, Cristiana, was so pleasant, welcoming, friendly and attentive. She made our experience a brilliant one and we will definitely be returning.
Tattu Birmingham Dishonest Practices
Tattu Birmingham Dishonest Practices.
My wife booked table for two for Valentines day (14/02/25)and duly paid the 20 pounds deposit pp requested. I we cancelled prior to 24 hrs deposit would be repaid. Cancelled a week later due to unforseen circumstances and guess what no refund to date. Have sent emails/called various times but nothing. May have good food reviews but this practice is down right WRONG!
**⭐ 1/5** Tattu Edinburgh

**"Extremely Disappointing – Beware Going!"**
We booked Tattu Edinburgh for a special New Year’s Eve celebration and were left utterly disappointed. Despite advertising a two-course deal for £30 when booking, this wasn’t available upon arrival, and we were forced to opt for the £70-per-person shared platter. For that price, the experience was shockingly poor.
The wine situation was absurd—our bottle was kept in a cooler "around the corner," meaning we couldn’t see or access it. When we requested a cooler for our table, we were told none were available. We had to settle for the wine being left on the table, where it quickly warmed up, ruining the experience.
The food was no better. The prawn crackers were stale, and the waitress even admitted it by asking, “Are they a bit stale?”—clearly aware of the issue. Later, the rice bowl was also stale and clearly not fresh. While a few elements of the meal were decent, the overall quality was far below what you’d expect for the price.
To top it all off, I contacted the restaurant afterward to express my concerns and seek a resolution, but I was completely ignored. This lack of accountability is inexcusable and adds insult to injury.
For anyone considering dining here—beware! The experience was a massive letdown, and the management clearly has no interest in addressing complaints. Avoid at all costs!
Amazing experience
Went to Tattu to celebrate my birthday. It makes me sad that I've lived in Edinburgh for so long and I didn't know Tattu existed. The atmosphere is amazing. Modern but cozy. The food is like nothing else I've tried so far. It feels very busy so not the best place to go if you want something quiet, although the food is so good it might make you forget how noisy it can be.
The staff is super friendly, attentive without being annoying, and last bit not least, their desserts are otherworldly!

Well done !
Tattu Leeds
The food is always very good at Tattu and this was no different. The cocktails are excellent too. The service now is also much better than it once was. Amber was great throughout the night and made sure we were taken care of.
