Excellent experience I’d definitely use Taskrabbit again our Ikea furniture was assembled in no time. A great professional service with good communication.
I had ordered fitting through IKEA and had not expected to o use this app.
I found the app incredibly difficult to use! I ended up paying Ikea and Taskrabbit for the same job and now I’m struggling to get my money back.
You don’t speak to a real person just the app.
Would not recommend Ikea fitting service or Taskrabbit!

Used Taskrabbit twice recently for large Ikea constructions in our new flat (Pax and Kallax)
Overall pleased with the service and undeniably saved me the time and trouble of constructing complex units.
It was worth the money.
That said, one tasker was good, the other not so.
It's like fitted kitchens, it's only as good as the fitter.
Slight niggly issues of alignment of doors and gaps were dismissed as manufacturing faults and poor product quality by one tasker. He 'did the best I can do'.
Also, am not impressed by the (ongoing) avalanche of emails arriving in my inbox that accompany Taskrabbit involvement. Whilst some are important, I feel bombarded by the almost daily superfluous mail. It's not necessary. I probably will have no need of their services again, though will keep details.
Second time we’ve used Taskrabbit via IKEA. Highly satisfied with the completed work. Good value, trouble free way to get the tasks done that you don’t want to do yourself
great service. I was taken along every step of the process. My tasker Hotin did an excellent job at setting up my daughter's loft bed.
I will definitely recommend it to others.
The Tasker did a good job and was very helpful and cooperative.
I was less happy with the TaskRabbit admin. I only discovered atbtge kast minutevthstbyoubwerecsendjngbthe man I first booked to an address many miles from.me. I had to go through a complicated process to persuade your website that I livecwhere I do in spite of entering my post code.
Wardrobe was fit on the skirting board as the guy on call did not have enough time

Worst platform, how booked a task today and cancelled it 2 hours later and incured the taskers 1 hour charge, completely un believable i need my shower mixer changed my brother managed to do it now i’m stuck with a 61£ bill this is completely not fair and unacceptable, there was no note of this cancellation charge when booking and it’s completely unfair paying all this when the guy didn’t even turn up to my property

Michel was very efficient and polite. I just had to tell him where do I want the furniture in my room and he did the rest. The job is well done. He even left the cardboard wrapped, which I could dispose off easily. No mess in the room!
The chap went above and beyond and workmanship was superb

Connected with taskrabbit through an IKEA purchase. Had a chest of draws built, we may have missed the small print which stated that the item will be attached to the wall, which would have be fine, but we have plasterboard walls which need special screws, which were not used, so the item came right away from the wall leaving 2 big holes. Taskrabbit did not admit fault and passed the complaint to IKEA, IKEA didn't accept fault and passed back to Taskrabbit. All in all, two companies passing the blame hoping we would give up with the issue, which we did after way too many emails back and forth, would never use again. Pathetic company not taking responsibility for their actions.

I booked a house moving with a tasker with very nice reviews and we managed to complete all the heavy tasks on the day. However, there are a few points I need to highlight. We initially booked the task for 10am and the job started at 12. We understand situations like traffic and problems during a move make it hard to comply with an agreed time. However, towards the end of the task, I started feeling pressured because apparently the tasker had booked two tasks after mine. As mentioned, there are some factors you cannot control and I understand. But precisely because of that I shouldn't have felt pressured or being affected because of poor time management. Second, the van had already stuff inside. I had to go back to the old house twice to collect the remaining stuff and bring them on an uber. While we do appreciate the help, we are not completely satisfied with the service provided. I sent the tasker a message, he never replied and after 24h the chat gets disabled. The money was taken out of my account with no possibility for me to challenge the charged amount. I raised this issue with task rabbit and because it relates to the quality of the service they gave me a 75£ credit to use in the app, and not a money refund. Which I find an anecdote. I don't want to use this credit on a app that doesn't protect my interests. So in summary the way task rabbit works is:
1) You hire the tasker
2) they make a suboptimal service in relation to the money they are asking
3)the money gets taken out of your account without sending invoice first
4) you complain and because it related to the quality of the service a credit is added (how a website focused on tasks does not consider the quality of service provided a problem worth of money refund is beyond my comprehension)
5) with your credit you can now risk to go through this process all over again with another incompetent person.

Taskrabbit is a brilliant idea. Inanc put together a garden cupboard really quickly and really well. We were having nervous breakdowns. We stupidly hadnt expected a flat pack. We needed someone who could come the following morning. I saw an advert on the Mildmay Line. I booked Inanc. I see that Taskrabbit has many people with different skills available. Next time I have a problem I’ll go straight there.
