Safari a la perefection
We are a family of four with two teenage kids, and this was one of the greatest—if not the greatest—trips we have ever taken.
We started with an 8-day safari through Tarangire, Lake Natron, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro, followed by 5 days relaxing on the beach in Zanzibar. The incredible experience we had cannot truly be captured in words or pictures; you have to experience it yourself to understand.
However, what can be described is the exceptional service we received from Tanzania Specialist. They were flawless in every aspect—from the initial itinerary planning and pre-trip preparation to the on-the-ground support. The choice of the program, accommodations, and meal plans was absolutely perfect. Everything was well-organized, and the team was always available to answer questions or help out, both before and during our trip.
Our biggest praise goes to Prince, who organized our journey, and of course, to our guide and driver, Eben. We were incredibly lucky to have Eben with us. He is deeply knowledgeable, kind, highly motivated, and went the extra mile every single day to show us his beautiful country, find the most interesting spots, and accommodate our wishes.

10 day Northern Circuit Safari
We went on a brilliantly organised private safari in October 2026 as part of our honeymoon. Our agent, Ngayeni, chose some fantastic places for us to stay over our 10 day trip, including Giraffe Manor, Lake Manyara Kilimomoja Lodge, African Kongoni Serengeti Camp, Serengeti Mara River Camp and Manyara Best View Lodge. All the staff at these venues were incredibly hospitable, friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Our safari guide, George Marley, collected us from the airport on our first day and stayed as our appointed guide for our entire trip. George has almost 30 years experience as a safari guide and is the most amazing man. Even after taking tourists on safari for nearly three decades, he has as much enthusiasm and excitement for the sights and encounters as we did. George knew all the best spots for game drives and his experience really shone through. If you are reading this review, and booking a safari with Tanzania Specialist, ask for George Marley. I don't think you will find a better guide.
To conclude, Tanzania Specialist arranged a flawless trip for us and we were thoroughly impressed with the company and its agents from start to finish. We would have no hesitation booking with them again.

Was not able to enjoy the trip due to…being asked for a large sum of money after having paid 100 percent.
Was not able to enjoy the trip due to the threats, once you book and pay it appeared difficult to cancel. I have traveled to over 60 countries. This is a disgusting way to treat costumers and I have never experienced anything like this before.They asked for 8 percent more money after we had paid 100 percent. Had allready paid 17, 000USD.

Having Alex as my guide all to myself was wonderful! He made my Safari epic!
So personable fun and knowledgeable plus he went out of his way to show me places and we still keep in touch!!
All of my accommodations were outstanding and every next place was better and better EXCEPT my last one in Stonetown!
Personally I think you should remove it from your list… the pictures on their website are EXTREMELY OUTDATED!!
Reception was rude and annoyed I needed to use a bathroom upon arrival!
The pool was a huge disappointment…dirty lacking in chairs that crowded the walking area you could hardly pass by without falling g in the pool!
Halls all through were overgrown with vines and dirty looking
Restaurant had VERY limited choices of 2items, no wine at all
I stayed one night and moved to another resort my choice as I did not want to spend another day!
No beach as advertised unless the wee strip of sand along side the ships was their idea of a beach that was strewn with garbage!!??
I’ve saved all the pics from my short stay even tho I paid for 3 and at least one should have been reimbursed as they had well over 24 hrs notice!
Otherwise fabulous fabulous trip

One of the largest safari companies in Tanzania which is important. Because, no matter how far from civilization you are, there's always another truck nearby to help should there be a problem.

Our safari guide, Kornel, was absolutely amazing!
Not only was he incredibly kind, warm, and friendly, but he was also extremely professional and knowledgeable. He planned our safari perfectly, took us to the most beautiful and incredible places, and made sure we had the best possible experience every single day.
What made Kornel truly special, however, was his genuine kindness and care. During some challenging moments, he was always there for us, offering support, helping us, and doing everything he could to make us feel comfortable and safe.
He went above and beyond in every possible way, and by the end of our trip, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend rather than just a guide.

Great week with an excellent guide
The journey started at the airport with pick up and transfer to our first hotel, guide was in the lobby next morning as promised and away we went, what a week, lots of travel, very attentive guide, looked after us all week, lodges were great, food at most location was exceptional. We visited all the main National parks and sighted all the big five and many more. All in all great experience but also very tiring, as long as you dont mind the travelling great experience I wont forget, the balloon ride over the Serengeti was the highlight.

Our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar was…AMAZING!
Our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar was magnificent! Our guide Sigfried (Siggy) was super. He had a vast knowledge of the animals and the three national parks we visited. He was a fantastic driver and also very polite and considerate. My highlife was the hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti and would absolutely recommend to anyone doing a safari. Our agent (Prince Stanley) was also top notch and our accommodation was beautiful ranging from glamping in tents to Lodges. My husband and I suffered a couple of days of stomach/diarrhea problems and that has to be the only negative thing about the trip. Even though “filtered water” is supplied, I’d stick to plastic bottle water and stay away from salads.
Great trip of a lifetime and would definitely recommend Tanzania Specialist.
