If I could give zero stars, I would. The service provided is absolutely awful. Their customer service and call centres are completely useless — it takes ages to get through, and when someone finally answers, they have no idea what they’re talking about.
I’m on the 25 Mbps plan for $48. For the first six months, it worked fine, but ever since then, it’s been a nightmare. I’ve now been without internet for two days. I work from home, and this has completely disrupted my ability to do my job — all because of their incompetence.
I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this company. Horrible service, horrible support, and an overall terrible experience.
invoice not sent on time, canceled service couldnt access account as no 2 factor auth , am changing providers ,will be interesting to see what happens after reading reviews ,disapointing as was ok for a while
So I had a provider and asked for my internet to start on a certain day. Tangerine cuts off my old provider to theirs but it take up to 3 days for theirs to turn on… doesn’t help when you work from home, after calling was basically told that’s how long it takes. Now because you have shut off my old provider I have not internet while I work from home. This was my first experience with them and is now my last.
Update:
Aussie Boardband turned it on in less than 25 mins... So not sure what happened but I would go with someone else.
New new update:
If you have my case number then you should know I cancelled with you after a day and went with Aussie board and that got it up in 25 mins. Do not call me there is no point I will never be a customer of yours again

OMG. The connection is sooo bad.
And of course once you’ve subscribed there is no one to talk to. Abysmal.
I was notified by Trustpilot that my negative review of Tangerine (4 days ago) might be taken down because I haven't responded to their requests for more info. Ok, so I don't see any requests related to the review below, do you? To make sure I was being fair, I logged onto my portal to see if anyone had raised a support ticket. Nope. So then I tried to request support, but their dropdown menus for this weren't functioning properly (gave no options), so I found it impossible to request support. And I refuse to sit waiting 25 minutes again for a phone call to be answered. This is truly a company that is all about sales and not at all about service. Next time I pick a Telco I'll remember to check Trustpilot first!

Would give a 0 if I could. I pay for the 100/20 plan but my speedtests show it's only 20/20 EVEN DURING OFF PEAK. I have fttp and an archer vr2100. for first 6 months no problem then exactly right after 6 months discount period nowhere close to even 30mbs of download even when tested through the router. What's worse is that they now want to charge MORE for this service even when they haven't fixed the problem.
Worst service and internet I’ve ever had! I have had so many calls with them regarding the very low speed they provide even with the more expensive services we are paying for and the issue has not been resolved. Will not recommend this at all specially if you are working from home often.. so bad

Tangerine called today just to reiterate that their unfair practice to not pro rate unused days is fair.
They wasted time by replying to my previous review and create a complaint ticket with their service desk for someone called this morning just to explain that this is their practice.
Horrible provider!
I'm legitimately baffled at how they've made simple processes so convoluted!
They'll double bill you, credit your account for your overpayments (rather than refund to your bank) then some how mess up the process of crediting your account.
Customer service staff are very friendly but they have to defend this horrendous company and their ridiculous policies and procedures.
The internet speed is reliable, but customer service respond times can vary.

100% agree with reviews relating to after placing your order, you can't get internet happening. Website misleads saying that experience will be smooth, that they are different - they're not. You need to ring up later after placing your "order" after nothing happens, and sort the whole thing out yourself, providing "avc id's", "utility bills", and asking where to send them to. Emails notifications are ambiguous, technical and unclear. No ability to respond, no ability to manage through portal, just need to ring, and spend 15 mins verifying yourself, only for them to ask you again for your account number. Portal is bad, phone wait time is bad. It's just another brand/logo cast over the top of a group of international call centres consisting of Sales, Accounts, Provisioning, and Support. God know which one does what (you just get transferred between them). None of which take accountability for one another. Another bad internet telco. Hot tip, if you want to set up an internet company, create a logo on Chat GPT, take payment and then send your customers through the same call centre systems as all other companies do. The whole thing's a big retail mask. Except, tangerine are among the worst.

Update: after writing this review, and being on phone providing them all info, I just got this monstrosity of an email, seeking follow up info:
"Hi R, We ran FTTC test and results are passing. We will raise this to NBN to check if they can detect enough dataflow to complete the order.Could you please provide the following details:Does the customer have more than one NCD?Is the NCD connected? Are there multiple wall sockets?Have any of the wall sockets been used for internet service previously? Is an ADSL splitter being used to connect the NCD?Are the power cables and other components provided in the box connected to the correct ports? Is the Ethernet cable securely inserted at both ends? Are all indicator lights on the NCD solid blue? What is the MAC address of the CPE?NCD Serial Number:NCD MAC Address:Thanks"

Regarding your reply: "we’re sorry to hear about your experience. We’ve sent you a request for more information through Trustpilot so we can look into this and help resolve it."
- I can't see any inbox on Trust Pilot, and I haven't received any message from you. Would you like to explain further?

Whilst many companies offer "unlimited" calls to certain international locations, subject to Fair Use Policy conditions, to date Tangerine is the only company I have found that defines how much is too much "unlimited" use, and employs a sms warning system when users near their limit.

I can't think of any appropriate words to describe the tech team of Tangerine other than utterly incompetent.
There was no quality control during the provisioning process and our service was incorrectly set up. For a simple error, Tangerine sent an NBN technician who quickly identified it and reported to Tangerine, after which no rectification was made. No substantive progress had been made for over four weeks before we decided to move on to another service provider, which completed the provisioning within 12 hours in stark contrast to Tangerine's struggle. Towards the end of our ordeal we learnt from Tangerine's tech team that Tangerine does not have in-house engineers and the provisioning was contracted to a third party, hence the unacceptable delay in fixing the errors.
Do not use this service provider - if something goes wrong it will not be capable of resolving it without substantial delay. The sign up discount was not worth the grey hair.

I have their NBN and Sim plan. They suck big time. Internet speed I have is 100/20 but I get 50/5 but the main thing is I can’t believe it even buffers the instagram reels. Who does that? Wherever I go in the Gold Coast I get one to 2 signal bars. Looks cheap but theg suck. Please avoid. Their portal is very bad too.

I have been without internet for 2 days and contacted tangerine to verify the issue. They put me through to accounts who advised that they had cut my service since I hadn’t paid the ( newly added GST amount of $15)? I paid the February bill but hadn’t noticed that it had been increased by $15 ( new GST). No notification was sent to notify that my service was going to be cut! Having paid it this morning, I have now received a text from them that if I don’t pay my March bill ( due on the 22/03/25 ) my service will remain cut.

There is nothing unique or Groundbreaking about tangerine this is a standard telecommunications company experience. They are extremely quick to sign you up, the first month fee is very quickly deducted from your credit card as any future payments. However, when it comes to actually delivering the service you signed up for the company is non-existent. After I ordered the NBN, they did send me a modem so at least for my my money at least I do have that. However, I have no Internet because despite getting my modem and they have taken the first month to fee the Internet is not activated. I called their call centre and of course their computer system doesn’t recognise the passcode they sent me so I have to wait forever to speak to someone online after talking to them for 20 minutes. They cannot help me and so they transferred me to someone else. After another 20 minute hold the person they connect me to has no idea who I am or Way I’ve called and I have to repeat everything all over. They are completely useless and unable to help me. And so they attempt to transfer me to another team. I told them I’ve had enough and I need to hang up and actually go to work. I’m already running late. They promised to send a priority email activating my account. The email is never come. I’ve paid tangerine. Hundreds of dollars and have no Internet this is the standard telecommunications experience. You can expect from any other provider unfortunately I’m just gonna have to keep searching for a telecommunications provider that actually will provide me with Internet as well as take my money. I’ve lost all Hope.

I had no issues with my first order with Tangerine, but I recently moved to a new address within the same city and it's been a nightmare to get my internet connected. I requested the mobility over a week ago, contacted their support team via chat and phone call and absolutely nothing happens. The only thing they tell me is that I need to "wait 24h to 48h" and I guess just hope for the best. If internet is not connected by then, call again and probably wait longer.
My wife and I depend on the internet to work and this experience has been extremely disruptive. If I knew it was gonna be this hard, I would've switched to another provider.

Great deal for the first 6 months. But a disaster in everything else!
1) Daily regular internet connection drops (not wifi, not user devices, their fault). Impossible to use for online gaming - every time I forget to turn off my wifi and switch to mobile data during online gaming, I am reminded pretty quickly by dropping out of the game due to connection drop. Also there's much more lagging during the game.
It is so bad that even audio (no video) conversations over messengers are consistently interrupted and I am out of them for 5-20 seconds. Embarrassing.
2) Support is awful:
I raised 3 tickets. They blame me. No written responses. They always call. Then they identify you, as hard as for the bank wire transfer (full personal data and text-code!). Although they're calling the number registered in the account...
After each call they close the ticket regardless of your conversation and you don't have any trail of resolution.
Because there is NO resolution.
Shame on me, always forgetting to check reviews before making a deal with the new company.
3) Among the 4 recent providers I've been serviced at the same address, same wifi router, same everything, none of them had such serious problem.
Considering they provide access to the same NBN connection as any of the providers, I assume they throttle the connection deliberately. There's no other explanation.
Even during me typing this review and trying to download a file - the connection dropped at least 5 times. I'd say it happens every 2-5 minutes for 5-30 seconds each interruption. Not only when you download, but also when you browsing internet! It's just that during downloading you can actually notice the drops.
Upd1: Shortly after posting a review here (don't know if it's a coincidence or not) I got a call from the support, they suggested changing a few things in the settings (switch to Google DNS, change DTIM Interval to 5 and
Beacon Interval to 50) - it has nothing to do with the kind of connection drops that took place - but after that call no drops at all, not during games, not during calls, not during downloads.
Although I do see occasional lagging in games - which can in fact be the reason of changing the aforementioned Wifi settings :)
But I'm glad they fixed the drops, it was a shame.
Upd2: Good time didn't last long, only for about a week. After that - all the problems again with one being: not possible to download anything without data transmission drop.
I moved interstate and was charged for my new house AND the old house for 4 mths!
I have been given the run around for months, trying to get a refund, with wasted hours and hours on the phone.
