0 stars. They charged me during my free trial and when I went to customer service about it they were rude. Also never recieved my refund.

I found a wonderful local piano teacher. I’m very happy with this service

I’ll give a 5 star for the teachers but a 1 star for the customer service and the platform. I have interacted about 5-6 times by now to make payments (I prefer to not call them but their app has limited functionality; most teachers prefer alternative platforms) - from now on I’ll go online and make payments to avoid their customer service. They (so far, a one man and one woman) appear high strung, robotic, short on time and rushed, answer questions curtly, and when the limitations of their app are mentioned, they don’t even show any interest in knowing what they are or in making it better. I don’t know how they get hired but it’s definitely not for their customer service. I doubt if they are even invested in making their company succeed. The Teachers are outstanding - 5 stars in that department. I gave 1 star so TL can take notice - if they care, which I doubt. Start with automated phone feedback following a call to the customer service. And ACT on the feedback.

She’s awesome. Very patient I don’t get things fast and she tries to break it down for me. She knows a lot about music too all genres.

Having one to one instruction to build a foundation for your language learning is essential. There are a lot of other on-line platforms to supplement your learning that can accelerate your learning. The tutor gives you the basics in pronunciation, tones, grammar etc. that could lead to bad habits.

The instructors are excellent in knowledge, ability, and desire to teach. My only complaint is that after almost 2 years of monthly lessons, if I forget to make a payment I am required to request my instructor accept me before I can make the payment, even 2 weeks before my next lesson requiring payment.

My experience with finding a TakeLessons teacher/instructor has been nothing short of miraculous. I am continually astounded as to how someone so skilled and talented also possesses the ability and patience to teach students that run the gamut from preschooler to octogenarian, from struggling novices to gifted potential prodigies. Her (i.e. Chalene's) musical musical prowess and teaching ability completely invalidate the old proverb, "Those that can't do it, teach it". Chalene loves music, plays music extremely well and loves to teach music, which is the perfect combination for a music teacher. Chalene spreads music around like it was candy.

Kristen is absolutely amazing! Knowledgeable and kind! I have truly enjoyed opera singing lessons with her and would recommend in a heartbeat!
