The holiday, countryside, local people fantastic and hotels were at or well above standard. Unfortunately, the German national railways DB were appalling. The steam railway in the Harz Mountains was superb.

A great trip . Loved the Hartz mountains steam trains . Good time of year to go , snow on the Brocken . Christmas markets were special too .
